On another note, I've gotten called for a couple of VERY cheap penalties and some that there was literally no contact to be seen. Anybody else have this?
Hi there
really glad you are enjoying it on PRO.
Instead, offline (PRO difficulty - slow speed), patched version, i find it very easy to go to the shooting in the last third.
The CPU does not press too much, even if marking slider is set about 75
Team defense is too passive and players are not reactive as it should.
May you post your sliders settings?

World Class is too difficult and frantic for me.
Thanks
p.s.
Me too also I'm experiencing too many cheap penalties

World Class is definitely frustrating to me and sliders does not seem to change how incompetent your teammate are on that difficulty. I do like Pro a lot better but the CPU not attacking enough makes it too easy. I'll might just have to see what I can come up with with sliders on pro.

In my last preseason match (10 min, pro) I upped the cpu runs a bit to give them some more attacking movement. I ended with 8 shots to their 7. I lost 1-0.

I agree, PRO is definitely the best gameplay experience.
The goal is to make the CPU more reactive, especially in defense, messing with sliders.
Otherwise you have to change tactics (pressing, aggression etc), but it's a lot of work...

@rckabillyRaider

Perhaps a possible solution that can help is what you said about "put sprint down to around 35 for both and upped the CPU marking a bit"
I'l give it a try...

I've always been a fan of slow gameplay, for both pes and fifa. Some people might think 30-35 on slow game speed is too slow, but for me it's perfect. Passing speed needs to be down a bit and also shot speed just a few notches down.

I am finding that the CPU does not shoot enough. They attack well but sometimes ease off and don't shoot and I tackle them or they choose only parts of the game to attack (Pro & WC seem the same with this). They would very rarely have more than 7 or 8 shots or more in a game (10 or 12 mins). It is more commonly 3 - 6 shots a game. Playing as a lessor team may increase this. I have so far only played as Man Utd, Roma or Juve. I had to decrease the shot error slider to 38 as they were missing some howlers, open goals and all. Also it seems the CPU penalties aren't that great either. They have taken a few shockers against me and have only scored about 2 out of 6.
I do plan on playing a lot with the lessor teams but am trying to work out if there is a shooting issue here.

Anyone have these issues or know ways To make the CPU can shoot more?

6 shots in 10 min halves for low rated teams is realistic. Good teams shoot around 15 against me in 10 min halves. You can go up to 15 min halves but cpu shooting is perfect as it is.
You're right about penalties, it's been already discussed and we hope EA will fix it. Cpu should aim 90% the corners and not the middle.

The best gameplay experience out of the box is World Class because you don't have to mess with crucial sliders.
I see many complain that they can't defend on World Class. This is because they use Tactical Defending. As KG stated on his review tactical defending is not the way to play the game because there's not a pressure button assignment for your teammates. The solution is so simple and works perfectly: Legacy Defending+Aggressive Interceptions for your CBs. Voila. Your teammates are suddenly defense experts. They come first to the ball and you don't have to babysit them all the time.

An update from my post above. Just played as Newcastle against Swansea on Pro level. Swansea had 3 shots with 1 on target. Game went to penalties at 0-0. Swansea missed all 4 of their penalties. 2 Panekas straight at keeper, 1 over the bar and 1 wide of the goal. CPU is now 2 from 10 in penalties against me. Penalties are worse this year for sure.

Is there anyone who notice there is fatigue issue in slow setting?
Player remain almost 70~80% fatigue after full match...
No slider for fatigue?
I'm using 10min half slow speed setting..

Is there a way to make this game play slower like actual footie and not hockey?

This has always annoyed me about FIFA but I bought it anyways cause people kept saying it's slower... if this is 'slow', I would loooove to know what people consider fast!

FIFA should have a 'sim' and 'arcade' setting cause out of the box, the speed is a joke!

This is the most impressive FIFA release so-far from easports. I was trying to nail down why it is so good last night. A few things came to mind right away. The ball movement. The ball moves freely around the pitch. It has a mind of it's own and not the mind of some algorithm. The cpu player moves the ball across the pitch more often and even moves the ball back towards the defense or keeper if nothing is open. Now I play in the "be a pro mode" and when I receive the ball, I now feel like I am making the motions to control the ball. When trying to put the ball into the netting, it feels very much that the ball is underfoot. The spacing of my cpu players and cpu team I am playing also makes the feel better. Because of this, the pitch has been opened up to make the feel more free. There are just a few things that I have noticed so- far that has been driving me nuts. I have yet to see a cpu controlled player on my team pick up a card. I have seen cards on the other cpu team but not mine. The spot on passing needs to be tweaked a bit. There are three things that I would see year after year. I wish that my player would get subbed out if I am not playing well, I wish there was a penalty slider, and I wish that your player might be pick for the bench with the chance of being subbed in. Overall, very impressive. Impressive indeed.

One of your "three things" is already in the game, and has been for at least a year, perhaps more. That is, being subbed out if you are not playing well. I had that happen in FIFA 15 when I was playing in be a pro mode. You can be subbed out due to poor play, excessive fatigue, and of course injury. I've had all three happen to me in FIFA 15 and I've seen the fatigue and injury substitutions of the controlled player in FIFA 16 on YouTube videos.

The slow speed setting is spot on for the BPL. If you want to make it slower just use the sprint and acceleration sliders.

I agree completely the slow setting is pretty dead on with actual football. One thing is difficulty setting... The game is a slighty different pace at different difficulties.

On a side note, has anyone downloaded the roster update? I am afraid to, haha... sometimes in the past it messed up formations or tactics for CPU teams. But according to SoFifa there is a new roster out today.. Was wondering if any new real faces were added or anything worth the risk of CPU tactic changes?

For those finding Pro slightly too easy and World Class slightly too difficult... Try starting out on WC using the OS Sliders and then tweaking a little. I found that the first touch was a little too penal using their settings so I lowered it a bit and now the game is playing very, very well for me.

I think the biggest improvements with their sliders are the reduction in pass speed and their reduction of cpu runs.

Give it a shot. I think you'll enjoy it.

While the gameplay is pretty good, yes legacy ai issues still exist, and is even more balanced in fut compared to previous fut iterations, I can't help but feel this game is unfinished.

No highlights of the week
Only 4 offline fut single player tourneys
Gameplay catalog only going to level 25
No practice match mode

Hopefully this upcoming Fifa patch is like the NHL patch that brought lots of features/modes to the game.

There is also the typical gameplay difficulty peculiarity, for the beta semi-pro and pro were quite fiesty. I felt like pro was more like a balanced and fair WC level.
In the full game we are back to last years dumb offensive AI in kickoff matches. On pro kickoff, default sliders the cpu never even gets a shot on goal.
Meanwhile you go into FUT and semi pro even has teeth like the beta AI did.

I will never understand this.

I feel like it would be way more difficult to have the AI behave differently in different game modes than just having base AI difficulty being the same across the modes.

Its just weird to get a decent attacking game from a cpu controlled Standard Leige AI in Fut on semi-pro but then go play them in kickoff and watch them never attack with purpose or take a shot.

Finally started a MM. Pretty good so far..the cpu plays well on pro so I'll just keep it on that for now. I haven't scored much in these pre season games though ..still need to shake off some fifa 15 habits haha.

So imma go back on this. The problem I'm seeing on WC is that my computer teammates turn stupid on WC.

I think I need to stay on Pro and try to tweak settings from there.
