"Next thing is that I have seen many complains about that FIFA is scripted. Of course its scripted!! Its a videogame and EA wants us to have..."
I'm completely dominating... only up one nil.. he doesn't even have 1 off target shot yet... 90th minute comes... predictable goal from a corner where my player won't jump or does jump but my opponent doesn't even have to "win" the header... or the ball going through a body part on its path to goal or the game not allowing me to switch defenders.
Or was it even really me that was dominating?

You have to admit there must be something wrong with the game if you start seeing these kind of threads popping up: http://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Dis...ght/true#M1187
"Can someone confirm that FUT online seasons is scripted to try and persuade people to buy packs. My players seem slower, weaker and make more mistakes over the past few games, since I haven't bought any packs since I got the game! "

This game really makes no attempt to hide when its going to screw you. Just got done playing Man City with the Spurs (me), and it was such a frustrating experience because the game decided I will lose this match regardless what happens. My guys literally would mark themselves. Build up play was taking an eternity because my guys would internationally move and give me no passing lanes to get them the ball. When I did finally make it through I witnessed defenders slide tackling my guys from behind . One time they literally went through my guys legs from behind, somehow connecting with the ball first, taking my guy out in the process, no foul, and to top off such stupidity, have the tackle end in a ridiculous feat of physics lob ball going 30 meters down field to their own unmarked man.
Never mind every 50/50 mysteriously going to the CPU. Erikson who would magically develop the ball handling skills of a 5 year old and the turn radius of a Carnival Cruiseliner at the most inopportune time. Kane constantly being ran down but defenders with less pace and with a 10 meter lead.
I turned the game off at the 75 minute mark still 0-0 when a perfect through ball got me in a perfect 4 on 2 counter attack and Kane, Lamela, and Heung-min who all decided to converge on the exact same CB and ALL 3 jostled with the same player and all fell over at the exact same time.
I had to vent. I rather the game just tell me I lost before I waste time having to endure that again

I believe too.
Fifa series has been doing this for years. Weakening the users team while boosting the cpu or human opponent, this has always been in the dna of this game.
I mean it's the entire foundation of how they do the difficulty level as you move through them.
Your team is brilliant on beginner and the cpu is idiotic.
By the time you get to ultimate your team is dumb and the ai is flawless.
What gets everyone excited in a positive way is when it chooses to stay balanced but cpu slightly boosted to attack better. Then this is a hell of a game.
What gets everyone excited in a negative way is when the boosts and nerfs sway so far apart you blatantly witness them happening.
This is why one person can say this game is so amazing while a post or two later someone hates on the game.
Both points/observations are accurate.
Is this the only sports game that takes these rogue boosts and nerfs to this extreme? Trying to think of another one that does similar things as fifa, it would be if in madden you scored on the first drive so now when you try to tackle the cpu you cant, and you fumble if you run the ball. Madden people would go nuts if that happened.

I'm sorry thegut but this is how the game is coded. I have already managed to disable all these "problems" via ini editing but I'm still in the minority that believes ManCity should have a boost over my team.

I ordered this game for PS4 after playing the demo and being impressed. I have probably played the last 4 or 5 FIFA games and really liked the feel of the demo. Does the retail game play like the demo or has that been changed via patches or tuners?
I had a hard time deciding between FIFA and NBA 2K16, but overall I prefer soccer over basketball.

All - I need help, I'm trying to get rid of the circle and arrow surrounding a selected player. I heard that FIFA16 got rid of the red triangles, is this the way it is or can I turn this off? I can't find anything that works via the menus.
I'm playing on pro level BTW.

Just click one of the sticks, can't exactly remember wich one is. You can also pause the match, go to settings, select sides and go to controller settings. Its the first option and you should choose "hide".
Got my copy from Amazon. It arrived off the spindle in the case. Loaded okay but during my first game I got a bad disc error and the disc was ejected. So I have to swap the game out and my new copy won't be here for a couple of days. Disappointed to say the least. Have to go through the tutorials to see how the new defensive system works.
Firs, this game is definitely not perfect. Just want to be clear about that. Human CPU teammates still need some work as they tend to back away from loose balls or when the CPU opponent team player is under duress and might lose the ball, instead of coming in to add pressure or dispossess the player, they just hang back.
At any rate, I don't know why but this game seems to get more fun the more I play it. It really has an organic feel to it. Teams really follow instructions and that makes the game even more fun.
I just played an awesome game in my league and won the game 1 to 0. The back and forth passing was amazing. Then I beat a team 4 to 0 in Bundesliga. That was fun because the way I scored goals really showed me that soccer-like thinking is sinking in. I love it when I can see a goal opportunity coming 3 to 4 passes away. One in particular was the timeless classic of passing deep into the box, and with defenders collapsing in on me, an open player makes a run and I back-heel it to him and he scores. That was one of my best goals ever.
Then, one of the best game I ever played in sports video gaming was me as Mexico against Brazil (CPU) in the women's mode. First, the presentation was awesome. I was in Mexico and you could hear drum beats, cheer, instruments (and maybe chants) that one would expect to hear in Mexico. The commentators even mentioned the passion of Spanish fans at a game. Truly awesome!
The game itself was a blast. I scored early to take the lead 1 to 0. Then, Marta (of course) scored to give them the equalizer. It was a beautiful cross that missed the intended target and went to Marta. Lawd! She was unmarked. God help us! Of course, she promptly kicked it in for the score. Then in the 110' of extra time, another player dispossessed one of my defenders in the box! Of course, she scored to give them the lead late. I was pissed. Then, in the 118' of extra time, a beautiful thing happened. With time running low, I was trying to calm myself down and not panic. It didn't help that the commentators were even noting that time was winding down. I passed it and my player had it about 14 yards outside of the box. Their back line was disciplined but the defender to my right started to collapse in on me and the other players to my left stayed in position. This left a hole where the player was coming from to challenge me. Then, the defender in back of me also started to come in. One of my players, however, made a run towards the place vacated by the player. I held the ball as long as I could then under duress sent a through ball to my player breaking towards the empty space. She shrugged off her marker, got it and kicked it in for the score. The place went ballistic - as did I! LOL!
We won in penalty kicks as the computer missed some and I did as well, but the computer missed more than me.
It was a truly great game.
Anyone else having more beautiful moments or enjoying the game more as time proceeds?

Yeah sure! I've been wasting time to test sliders, game modes etc. But despite some flaws, usually the game leaves me with a smile at the end of each session. Currently starting my career mode as Ive already decided the settings to use, and the first two matches were very good. First match against Salerno, I scored 4 goals in the first half!!
Then I changed lots of players for the second half and played more confident, while salerno tried harder to get a goal. They managed to get me by surprise on a good momentum and scored 3 goals!! Finaly, in one last play, my team scored the final goal to end a 5-3 thrilling match.
Later, BK Hacken. Diferent team, totally diferent game. They played a 4-3-3 and were all over me through the whole match. Very dificult one, as they pressed me high on the field and scored first. I managed to score what seemed to be the first goal of the comeback, but they ended my hopes when they caught me on a 2nd goal. Final result, 2-1. So much variety and good stuff happening, I really felt the diference in those two teams!

Love the game. Here are my two issues after playing for weeks.
1. Player switch logic is worse than FIFA 15. I have found myself having much more difficultly with the computer picking my next man this year over last. I even record some of it and the switching doesn't make sense. It isn't gamebreaking, but hopefully this is something that can be patched as it is worse this year and I never really had issues with it in 15.
2. Passing is just perfect about 90 percent of the time. The other 10 percent it is just atrocious. Hopefully this can be patched as well as I didn't have this issue in 15 either. And not talking about ping pong passing, but passes that don't remotely go anywhere near where you directed.
Again, love the game, but these two issues are preventing it from being a classic.
Edit...and still wish EA would restrict matchmaking to your country. It can be just awful living in the south.

Does anyone else having odd brightness issues on the PC version? During normal cut scenes the brightness is great and real life but when it switches to the actual gameplay, the colors are a little washed out and it seems like the days are played in overcast when it really is during a sunny early afternoon day. Is there any fix for that?

This is the first time in years that FIFA hasn't been a day 1, or at least week 1, purchase for me. I had Destiny keeping me occupied all this time, thinking that I wasn't going to get this until the price dropped, but I got the itch. Sigh, I'm getting it today.

That is not an impression. Smh
The game isn't good. The gameplay is still stale and dated. Players stay on rails. Computer teammates run away from ball. Still the same scripting from computer opponents. Horrible teams play like Barcelona and have ball skill and pass abilities similar to messi and iniesta. There's still no sense of fluidity when it comes to balls that are in the air or bounce, really only one option and that's hit pass button for your player to even compete for the ball. On world class still feel like the cpu opponent gets speed and stat boost which plays in to sorry teams and players having no real drop off from good/elite teams. Ping pong passing is still there and the ai teammates still make the dumbest runs into defenders.
All of this is single player, online (ultimate team) is still high pressure Sprint fest which has no downside considering fatigue is just there for show.
If you've been playing past fifas wait for price to drop. If you've never played the game will be fun and then it'll wear on you after a year. I got back into fifa year after year since 2010 and I can say that after some time with '16 now, overall Fifa is really average at best.
