The most frustrating thing about this game has to be the REBOUNDING.. My god, it is almost non existant for the user.. I will jump for the rebound and the ball will land right next to my guy, the cpu will pick it up and lay it in while my guy is still recovering from his jump.. WTF.. lol..

One thing Live 16 is sensational at is fast breaks, this game reminds me of Inside Drive when it comes to breaks, does a fantastic job, seamless.

Don't mention my beloved Inside Drive, lol.

Can you only choose your pick and roll coverage in the time out menu?

You should be able to do it in the coach settings as well, pre or during the game

Pick and Roll coverage is in coach settings. Accesible in pregame menu, game menu and settings. In the demo I think some of this is blocked.

This is easily the thing that bugs me the most.
It is so wierd when I do get rebounds I am sometimes shocked. Someone told me on defense to not jump just to hold L2 and your guy will rebound. I forgot to try it but am willing to try anything... We will see.

Not enough interior paint physicality.

I guess the honeymoon phase was bound to wear off -- despite it being a demo with a first patch expected for the retail version, the interior paint physicality is lacking. The ability to drive without much consequence, makes scoring easier than desired.

Finally decided to bump up skill level to maxed out Superstar. I have also dropped all offensive tendencies to 10 for both the user and cpu while bumping up defense to 100. Shooting success still sort of hovering around an acceptable rate. Lack of cpu midrange on superstar also doesn't help. Point total still running at around 90-100 mark. Superstar mode still have players predominantly shooting 3s, driving the lane, and dunking. Loving the controls, loving the subtle player mannerisms, loving the ability to feather the sticks, loving the arena atmosphere, loving the way the players run. Not loving the potential of going undefeated on superstar without a scratch, that was what I was worried about when dropping the offense for both user and cpu to merely 10. Challenging initially, but eventually you figure things out.

This is the problem with the mid range. Our mid range game is the layup take off area.

Ive lost more faith in the dev team and game changers. In my crappy quick draw, that should all be pull up areas.

Can't tell you how many times I wanted to just do a pump fake but took off for a layup while in a stand still. And majority of time it benefited the offensive player vs punishing bad bball tactics.

I haven't really lost faith with the gamechangers. It is all about what EA dev's are capable of doing with whatever resources they have. I totally agree with you about the layups though. I actually think EA knew the layup animations, context and everything was not right and if they could have fixed them they would have. They messed that up, layups are triggered from way too far without momentum, without a clear path, with contact don't matter and without a contact penalty.

I really, really want to see NBA Live come back and rule basketball gaming. My fondest childhood memories were Bulls vs. Blazers, NBA Live 95, NBA Live 99 and 2000 With that said color me not impressed with this demo. Shooting 3's was too easy so was inside shots. Rebounds feel scripted as hell especially when playing against other humans your user control guy either gets lucky or forced into position to grab a rebound instead of timing and to me that kills my vibe of playing PF. So yeah rebounding feels generic, scripted and slow. I was thinking of picking this up because 2k14 and 2k15 were letdowns for me but after playing the demo I'm not buying this... Hecks to the no!!!. At this point I don't see a great basketball game from EA any time soon, especially with this development team in charge. Lets not sugar coat it and be honest they're just not good at making NBA basketball games. If they think they can just collect $60 from me with a weak basketball game they can keep dreaming. Did they improve? Yes but that's not saying much and its not enough for me to buy it. I know this is going to sound mean but maybe they should give up making sim basketball in general and bring back NBA Streets or NBA Jam cause honestly I see more future in that for them. What frustrates me is I really want to see them succeed.

After 5 days with the game I decided to put it up on Craigslist last night. The game is better than last year imo but there is still so much missing. This is the 3rd year of the 3 year plan and I was just expecting more. Oh how I wanted this title to succeed.

The things that brought me to my decision where.
1. No midrange game

2. Lack of camera options

3. Every team pretty much does the same thing. It's either bombing 3's or driving to the rack. Yeah you get the occasional midrange pull-up but it's so rare.

Not going to make a long list because I don't want to beat a dead horse. Hopefully EA can continue to work on the title but I just don't have the patience for the "NEXT YEAR" it will be in.

When CAMPBLACKMAMBA24 says a game is bad, you know that **** is trash. Lol, I don't blame you, Flight. You took one for the team with your purchase.

I am with you on all points.

The game is just way, way too similar no matter which team you play. Every team plays the same.

Aren't all EA sports games like that where every team plays the same style no matter the sport? Guys in Madden, FIFA, NHL forums has been complaining about lack of team play styles for years.

Yeah...long term problem.

The issue is far, far worse in basketball though as team styles are so important / teams clearly use different offenses / players clearly have different roles in the NBA.

More so than say, the EPL.

Is there a way we can see the CPU shot feedback?...I think it would help if we could determine what the game is interpreting as a "contest"

I think Live '15 provided this in scrimmage....the camera is broken for me in the practice modes so I haven't been able to test it..
