Played another game with the Warriors and Clippers. Went down to the wire. 99-98 Warriors (me).

The more I play this game, the more I'm enjoying it. I have gone back to icon passing for precise passing controls. I'm getting use to icon passing disappearing if I don't hold onto the button. Still a little challenging trying to get the exact screener I want. But the screen button and the way you can feather your players is a magnificent wonderful touch. I think I have started to get a handle on doing fast breaks after rebounds, maybe ... I think. You're still holding down the sprint button, but I'm also holding down the icon passing button as well looking to pass the ball through available passing lanes.

The biggest issues I'm still seeing is no bank shots. High arcing interior paint shots. Lack of proper contextual shots on the interior. Delayed button input specifically for jumping for a rebound and blocking shots. The other noticeable delay is when you switch to the interior paint player trying to either block a shot or grab a rebound, there is probably a 1 to 1.5 second delay when pressing the jump button, which prevents me from successfully grabbing a board or blocking a shot.

All offense sliders dropped down to 10. Post game remained at 50.
All defense sliders bumped up to 100.
All Star. 12 minute quarters.

Shots definitely were no longer a guarantee, although contested floaty layups may still have too much success. Layups are suppose to have a fairly good success rate, but it's just the type wonky animations triggering that makes it strange seeing them have success. Dunks are down. Interior scoring for both teams a little bit more difficult.

Could very well grab both 2k16 (definitely) and Live16 (possibly, still debating) this year and run an offline franchise. I don't do online, thus will not be participating in Pro-Am or any other modes from either company.

Appears one must be connected to the internet in order to play. Likely has something to do with SYNERGY. Every single time I start up Live16, synergy updates and synergy can only update via online. That's probably why online might always be required. If it's synergy causing the hold up, why not allow the gamer to choose if s/he wants to use it?

Played some live run with the bro and had a good time. Get 10 guys who know what they're doing and I could see these something that I could get into long-term.

With that said, the rebounding is a crap shoot. Input is already sluggish, but add the online lag and timing rebounds becomes even more of a struggle.

Also, I'm assuming you're not going to be able to access live run on the demo after release? Any word on this?

To everyone is who having trouble rebounding. At least as far as defensive rebounding, just hold the left trigger near the ball and your guy will automatically jump for the rebound. Under no circumstances should you be pressing the jump button unless you are going for an offensive rebound.

It should be a one or two step process. I didn't remember my password, so I simply went online (computer internet) and had to reset my password. Once that happened, I went back into EA Live16's demo and logged on. Exact steps are hazy because it was earlier in the day.

I took a few days as I wanted to give the game a fair shake. After playing for a while, it just feels like Live 15.5 to me. I had Live 15 and it had its place but ultimately it sat on the shelf. This feels a lot like that, except a little better gameplay wise. Shooting is definitely better, but that's the only immediately noticeable gameplay difference to me. It feels more like a lateral step than the large leap I expected and need out of the gameplay. The sliders are a nice addition and I know it will help some. I know Pro Am was a big emphasis for them this year, and it may prove to be more fruitful as far as drawing in new gamers, but I'm an offline "franchise" type. While I haven't been able to play it yet, the Live team has all but confirmed that minimal changes have gone into Dynasty mode. So that alone has cratered the replay value to me. If the on court gameplay had made the leap then I could overlook that to a degree. But without it I just cant get with it this year. I'll probably wait until it hits EA Access next year sometime.

Anyone seen the CPU try an ally oop yet?

Also...rebounding is really, really, really bad.

Hoping the day one patch addresses it as it is terrible.

First play of the game

Loved the bullet pass from near mid court.

The rebounding should be a bit better as well.

Yes I've seen them thrown lobs but not as much as I would like

Obviously this game isn't for everyone, but the lies I see man smh. Learn to play the game and stop trying to play it like the other game. Maybe some of your minds are set n are trying to ignore the massive improvements in live 16. Rebounds, cross court passing, shooting responsiveness n paint defense need to be addressed tho.

The only thing that's keeping me away from purchasing this title on the first day, is that NBA 2K16 comes out I think two days after this is released or two days before, but I'm definitely get that on PC, as well as WWE 2K16, and of course Fallout 4.

This game will be awesome at a discount rate, with a patch or two released. I'm going to hold off until it takes a price dive, and I'm going to be all over it.

Finally got some time with the demo last night.

the most glaring issue right now is the PG's/players in general driving the paint and basically having 100% success rate or getting to the line.

I really hope this is something that can be fixed with either dy 1 patch or synergy.

I like the shooting it feels great. Please don't tweak it so much that it gets broken. I'll never forget the ".1 millisecond" tap of the button last year to get a properly timed jumper.

I have yet to play online H2H...so will receive judgment until then.

Yeah, it feels like it only registers when you do an LT contest, and even then is a little wonky

I'm having troubles with a lot of goals. For example one says make an assisted shot . It doesn't register on dunks on layups tho . And I'm a big man with no jumper

Dude I was so pissed yesterday because the game that requires that goal, said I didn't contest any shots when I blocked 2 shots and and was in my man's face when he was shooting another jumper. They definitely need to fix that.

Some of the physics around the paint are incredibly good.

Fouled Lebron hard using DeAndre Jordan...really good physics on display.

Potential is there for a really good game. Day one patch will be big. They need tp get that right and release extensive patch notes.
