NBA Live 16 Demo Available For Xbox One and PS4, Post Your Impressions

The NBA Live 16 demo is available now for Xbox One gamers and is scheduled to release at 1:00 PM ET for PlayStation 4. We will update this post when it officially arrives on the PS Store.

UPDATE: It's now 2:00 PM ET, no sign of the demo on PS4, we will post when it is available.

The demo includes the new LIVE Pro-Am mode, featuring both the competitive LIVE Run and cooperative Summer Circuit. For those of you looking for an offline experience you can play exhibition games in Tip-Off mode. Users can choose from the Cleveland Cavaliers, Oklahoma City Thunder, Golden St. Warriors, Washington Wizards, Chicago Bulls and Los Angeles Clippers. Players can adjust sliders, difficulty level, play up to 12 minute quarters and more. It also includes tutorials.

Download it, play it and post your impressions.

OMG this damn download is moving so damn slow. I played the regular game already. I want to try Pro-Am but it's been like 6 hours and the rest of the game didn't install yet...wth

I think the annoying part about the game is the delay when I'm playing pro-am. I hope that is something that can be fixed after the patch is out.

Plus, I know it's a community issue but too many damn players trying to play hero ball. Very few know how to play as a TEAM.

I've been getting into comp fighting game over the last few months and something big on this side of gaming is input delay. Most games these days run at 60FPS. Your TV, no matter the game settings, is probably the cause of your input delay.

Google latency tests for TVs and you can see where your TV stands. I play on an ASUS gaming monitor (1 m/s) so I have pretty good button response.

Now, this could very well be the game but sometimes its the user's equipment. Not making excuses, just trying to spread some information.

To play the demo you have to be signed into EA.

Is the actual game this way?

Because my internet sometimes is used by those tall people I live with who pay the bills (parents) and I am only allowed to play offline. My issue is if the actual game will not allow me to play offline dynasty without out connecting to EA I have no use for the game.

Yeah Pro Am can be spotty at times...some games are laggy and some arent...I think when the full game drops Ea will look into it

I do not mean just pro am. The game app on PS4 will literally not let you even play a tip off game or open unless you connect to the EA Servers.

If the retail is like this I am not buying it. I mean if can not play offline dynasty when servers or internet is down that is crazy.

Same here. Tried exiting out of "connecting" to server and couldn't play the game even just a simple exhibition play. Purchasing of live16 was a 50/50 at this point. I see a lot, and I mean a lot of potential in this game and it's fairly enjoyable even as is, but requiring me to connect to servers is not what I want.

Edit: I'll try it again later to see if I can play exhibition matches without having to connect to the Internet.

The cameras are bad. They are way back when you get in the paint. Makes defense really difficult

I like the GSW version of the ESPN cam the most...every thing else's is a bit far....

Has anybody lost the Gip Off to the computer.......I hav3 yet to loe one jump ball at the beginning of the game to the cpu.......Also Live needs to add little details like rolling inbounds and jump balls

That one gives me a weird motion sickness and I don't know why. No BS.

Rebounding is definitely broken. Playing as a rim protector(believe im the only one in the world) rebounding is non existent. I can grab a few but goodness player detection for any loose ball is just horrible.

Input lag is just ...

Just played on Superstar and bottomed out the CPU sliders.

Inside- 10
Medium- 20
Outside- 30

Seems crazy but had a good game.

Unfortunately sliders can't mask the lack of control in the game. So it's like you have to play the game overlooking everything that is wrong with it just to try to enjoy it.

I wish we could call quick plays on the d pad like in live 15. There a few times I have a mismatch and wanna Iso or post up or even sending a player to cut.

Another thing I don't like. Layups almost never go glass.

For both user and cpu:

Decided to drop all offensive shooting (interior, exterior, 3 point, layups, midrange, and whatever and dunks) down to 20. May have to drop everything down to 10 or whatever the lowest number is next game around.

Decided to bump all defensive setting (whatever the 4 was) up to 100 maximum.

Results was the game was finally in the low 90s/80s. Need to look at the actual statistics next go around. But liking the fact that this one game was no longer in the 120-130 range.

EDIT: 12 minute quarters. All star.

Yep, layups practically never go glass. If I even see one bank shot, I'm amazed. Too many high arcing shots in the paint.

got bored of pro am and went back to playing quick match to see if i notice anything else. glad i did go back,i noticed 2 major flaws from live 15 are back BOTH GAMES WERE IN PRO

i played clippers vs warriors (me) and Bulls vs Wizards (me) , and in both games i had the dunk frequency lowered to 30 cause in the OKC vs cavs games most of the points was lebron and crew throwing it down. so i wanted to see what will happen now,

in the clippers game Blake Griffin, Jordan and Paul Seemed confused at what were they suppose to do now to score (while funny) it was also annoying. like only 5 Jumpers were taken all game, 4 being 3s. the rest of the points were lay ups or put backs. i won that game by 30 however. next game the same thing occured. the bulls rarely shot the ball. and instead kept coming for layups which kept being set back. and in 2 drives, Butler got into the post up animation on the free throw line and just stood like that till the shot clock ran out. i won by near 20

Where the 5 sec. violation? and why is he stuck?

i dont see the slider to fix the jump shot issuse which bums me out (unless its there and im reading it wrong) and that post up glitch is a year or 2 old. lets get that out of here

PRO Am is extremely fun and wow amazing graphics and smooth. I have no problems with rebounding in the game. Been hitting the boards TONS.

I love to play sport games online.... Last season I played 2K game, but from europe its very rare to find a good connection in a match. Common problem is the lag due to oversea servers.
In this NBALive the online matches looks stable and lag-less... even if from video its difficlut to judge.

Someone playing the game? Can you confirm this?

Ive just now start the dwl of the demo for my PS4.

If the game confirm the good online compart, maybe I'll buy the game just for online matches...
