The cpu uses it quite well, you get in on a challenge and they will go down drawing the foul.

The players on my team try to keep their feet/balance and so less fouls are called for me.

A dive button would solve this. Heck I would like it if the ref ran over when the cpu dove and waved his arms saying get up and play on, or even carded them once in a blue moon.

Small steps I guess...
That would be amazing. 2K has that, had it for a few years. And it works well. So I'm sure EA could do it.

I am streaming on YouTube now. Some sliders adjustments:

Matt, what camera is that? I don't think I've seen that before.

Why do fullbacks insist on coming in instead of staying wide. This takes away the width of the field that attacking fullbacks are supposed to provide D:

Lol I swear they fix one thing and then break another

I'm pretty sure it's broadcast.

it looks cool watching it just like tv but I doubt I could ever seriously enjoy playing the game like that and be as good at it... I think he is use to playing like that. looks really good though

Ya I like how it looks. I just tried playing game like that myself and played poorly. I might force myself to use it though so I get better at it.

Also thanks kaletore11 for the name of it.

Yeah.. that's what I meant by me enjoying playing the game like that because I would suck bad playing that way. I think he has played FIFA for awhile like that I would guess. It probably takes some time to adjust to and you need to use the radar really well. I'm kind of the opposite to where I prefer a camera angle that shows a lot of the pitch to where I don't rely on the radar as much but I still use it

There was a dive button on Fifa 97 ..... back in those days you could also set the strictness of the ref or have it on random. Was really annoying in 2 player games if your opponent did it !!

Anybody else finding it incredibly easy to dribble around defenders with the left trigger?

I'm on again guys, sorry about earlier. Playing PC version with demo expander for 10 min half lengths. Sliders applied as well:

Check the players instructions the default maybe telling him to come inside.

You can change lots of individual instructions for every player have them do whatever you want. Its quick and easy also.

Only problem is that with fullbacks, there's only one box of instructions besides the interceptions one. The 3 options in the other box are "always overlap", "balanced", and "stay back while attacking".

I'm loving this demo. They appear to have fixed a lot of things, but the thing that has me most excited are the player models and their movements. Maybe it's not perfect, but the players' movements are more lifelike. Far and away better than FIFA 15's players. I feel like the slow dribbling options are much more practical.

Other than the fullback issue that was just mentioned, it seems like instructions work better. Again, maybe not perfect but it's nice that my holding midfielders don't sprint forward and clog up my attacks. And I'm seeing my forwards press the back line with more intensity.

There's really several things, big and small, that have caught my attention and have honestly impressed me considering the sometimes lack of detail evident in FIFA 15. The CPU intelligence is obviously miles better. The CPU teams I'm playing against look like they actually have a plan other than running with the ball until a pass opens up. I'm not seeing the Seattle Sounders play like they all graduated from La Masia either. The sound of the ball when it's kicked is greatly improved, though maybe I'm crazy and it's been like that for past games. The celebration additions are nice little things that enhance the experience. I love the Bundesliga presentation. The driven pass option is nice, though I need to get used to the new location of the flair button. I'll see a nice opportunity for a back heel and end up rocketing the ball to my player, who's standing mere feet away.

Overall, I'm MUCH more optimistic about FIFA 16 than I felt before the demo came out. Hopefully nothing breaks when they roll the full game out. And hopefully edited instructions/tactics will be used by the CPU in matches. That's my biggest concern for the full version of the game. Well, that and finding out if they've improved player editing/creation, but I've come to expect no additions to that over the years.

EDIT: Forgot to mention the runs made by my CPU teammates...much more intelligent and makes attacking so much more fluid.

The Demo is great. I think the game-play is much improved from last year, not to mention the better visuals and player models as has been mentioned already. Need to fix stuttering issues when using different cameras, but maybe this is due to it being a demo?

If the franchise gets some added depth and complexity, and they fix the youth team/squad issues of the past then this game will be a 10 for me.

If anybody can find a fix for the fullbacks pinching in I'd love to hear it, any ideas for that matter as I find myself banging my head against the wall trying to figure out a solution.

I've tried uping Barca's passing support all the way to the 80's and have seen little to no change. I've even tried manually moving Dani and Jordi out wider in the team sheets, even tried making them wingbacks, nothing is working here

Any other ideas maybe?

Would the Line Width slider alleviate the problem?

Hmm, saw something I've never seen before. Corner kick by my team and I connect with a shot, it hits the crossbar crashes down into the net , clear past the line , the ball spins out and no goal.

Do teams and players play like their real-life selves?
Probably one of my biggest gripes for all EA sports games.
The CPU always seems to play like a group of all-stars regardless of who they're controlling.

Not really BUT it could be due to a lot of factors: the short demo time skewing their mentality, team tactics not set up since it's a Gamescom build, etc...

This is still an issue sadly but some of the player instructions and tendencies are a little better than last year it seems, we'll see in the retail version if it is improved.
