Been bouncing back and forth between pro and world class. Tried legendary once, it felt horrible on default sliders.
same experience with me last night

Legendary was not any fun to play on at all... to me the time limit is to short and impossible to even play against the CPU on that difficulty in the demo

my play experience has so far been mostly on full manual world class and slow game speed and using camera angle i found in orion's fifa 15 slider set thread.. thanks for that

tonight i will play professional all night and see if I notice any big differences.. I was not paying any attention to my results for the most part last night. hardly any wins I know that.. and mostly draws and loses. alls I know is the game seem to play a good fun realistic game of football playing like that.. without noticing any glaring problems.. one thing I did notice was the keepers get beat near post often though it seemed like but wasn't an issue

My CPU teammate, reads the long pass, and darts forward to make the interception. I was so taken aback that I couldn't go forward and make a good opportunity from it, haha.

And the CPU opposition players play so much more realistically. If you play sound positional defense, the CPU will try to bait you into getting out of position by playing a possession game, and back passing from time to time. I have even seen a CPU player completely stop with the ball to survey his options. I don't think I've ever seen that in FIFA before.
What level are you playing the demo on?

Just played as Dortmund away against the other German team, is it Bor. Mglad? World class, full manual. CPU had only 76% pass rate. Tactical defending. Was trying to cover the back and passing lanes, and used teammate contain up front. The CPU launched quite a few long balls.

Lost 1-0 though, with shots 5-4. At least had some shots. With the improved defensive AI and manual play I am having a tough time creating chances. Which is a very good sign.

Nope, just regular ol' world class, with manual passing.

I definitely wouldn't say the players are stupid, quite the contrary actually.

Ok. Well, I will try it on World Class. I usually play on professional. I really hate CLUB cheese (cheating by making my players dumb, etc...). But I will try it to see what happens, to see how it plays. I will likely stick with professional, but I just want to check it out.

It's a tough one.

For the user, team ratings do matter. I can hang on world class using any of the good teams.

But if I was to use River Plate vs. Madrid I am not sure how well River Plate would play.

I only have 360 here to test with and did have a decent game on world class, beat Madrid 1 nil with Barca.

I will say 100% certain I would not play above pro using tactical defense, heck probably not even above semi-pro.

It's amazing how much of a difference tactical and legacy make in terms of defensive behavior for the user's cpu team mates.

I play on pro as it seems to me that the levels higher than this my teammates do not play equal to CPU teammates. Plus the pace seems best at this level. Everyone should play how they want but I kinda feel people sometimes complain about higher difficulty but act like it is a disgrace to lower the difficulty. IDK just my opinion.

Anything over pro and sliders need tweaked... Kinda seems like the game was built to play best on pro. But again all should do what they like.

The more I play the demo the more I like the game. The CPU shoots more and does more lobbed through balls. It seems way better than any year before. I played the other football game demo and have to say for the first time EA has the more realistic gameplay. And the camera angles and graphics are better as always in my opinion. This may be the first year I only buy one footy game. And I prordered FIFA, so that is how much the demo has impressed me.

You know I don't think I've used legacy since it was removed as the default in 14. I don't even remember what the differences are. I'm going to change that and play a game to see.

Also, maybe my praise of pro was a little too soon? I just played a game on pro and beat the cpu 6-0. Then played another game on ultimate and only lost 1-0. And the game on ultimate felt much better. Either I'm getting more used to this new play style, or pro isn't what I thought it was last night.

EDIT: Ah the tactical defending is the thing that makes me tackle for no reason when I'm not around someone if I accidentally hit the B or O button. Man that has driven me nuts for a long time. I guess legacy is what I will be using for ever now.

Also not sure if anyone noticed, but default settings have changed. Passing Power Assistance is off by default now. Auto switch is set to off by default now. Cross assistance is set to semi by default. And Save assistance is set to semi by default now. Maybe why pro feels better to some of use in the default opening pro game.

Thanks for the support! EA did a good thing including the women's teams... I have never been as excited for a game to get here after playing a demo. Less than two weeks!!!

I plan to do a custom women's tournament and start an offline CM with a team like West Brom. Plus have a few people to play some online with.

The women's mode to me is more fun thus far. For some reason the soccer on that mode is more wide open. The men's mode is fun also, and I do enjoy it. However, they did a great job on the women's mode.

I wonder if they did that on purpose to check feedback and make tweaks.

I've been playing on World Class and I have been kind of flustered by the defending. No matter what I do I can't seem to get pressure on the other team, specifically squads like Barca and Chelsea. Sliders will definitely help. I don't want to switch to legacy defending because I mostly play my friends on the default settings so that includes tactical defense.

Overall, the game feels much better than 15 and I like it more than the PES demo which was pretty damn good.

I don't think that is the case for most of us. Its that we are trying to make something that feels good, seems fair, and is challenging to us. For some of us we have been playing FIFA for a long time. And the lower default difficulties can be too easy at times. Its not about shaming anyone, or being ashamed of playing on them. Its more about finding a good balance, and still having fun while being challenged. I don't think anyone in this topic would scoff at anyone playing on semi-pro or amateur, that is their choice. I personally only care about my experience with the game. And there are others who share my goals and views of the game on here. I would hope that us discussing that doesn't offend anyone. That isn't our intention in anyway.

Haha this is probably true for some people I use to feel this way but the after playing through MLB Show series I have no shame in lowering the difficulty.

I really like a lot of the little things. Not sure if this was mentioned, a lot of posts in here. But the new after foul animations/cut scenes. I love that its the player, and a few team mates pleading and arguing with the ref. Instead of the old player vs player shoving match before the card was shown. Way more realistic.

I've also seen quite a bit of diving. Players staying down longer acting like they are hurt when they are not. Those two things add so much more realism. Its like watch an actual match.

# 298 BL8001 @ 09/09/15 05:08 PM
Zo!

I want to be able to dive!!!!!

The cpu uses it quite well, you get in on a challenge and they will go down drawing the foul.

The players on my team try to keep their feet/balance and so less fouls are called for me.

A dive button would solve this. Heck I would like it if the ref ran over when the cpu dove and waved his arms saying get up and play on, or even carded them once in a blue moon.

Small steps I guess...

# 299 dubcity @ 09/09/15 05:11 PM
I would be in favor of a dive button, if just to see the UT YouTube videos of people raging as a result, lol.

I've been playing Legendary for a while... last year I didn't like Legendary at all and WC wasn't challenging. Legendary I felt the AI got every tackle 100% and never lost possession. I left the game for PES for a few months and then returned and with patches and Matt's slider it save the game for me.

Over the last few years if you play on Legendary, you will need slider tweaks for sure. Didn't have time for demo last night but will today for sure.
