Loving the demo so far. The only things I'm seeing that could use some tweaking is passing accuracy and fouls. Passing will be taken care of for me by playing manual and hopefully sliders can reign in the cpu. Fouls aren't terrible, I would just prefer a couple more a game. Especially when it seems twice a game a player gets crushed with no penalty at all.

yeah...I really like playing with the Women's teams

I just played a game and Leroux won it in stoppage time from a corner kick. The gameplay with them just feels different...and for the better. Overall I'm enjoying this demo way more than I expected to which sucks because more than likely I can't afford the game anyway. I'd go for the PC version but will have to wait for a sale down the line.

As somene who didn't play '15 and was still playing '14 up to this past weekend, the demo feels good. Really good.

Can't garner too much from 4 minute halves and not messing around with sliders (besides changing the Speed to Slow).

But I saw some things from the CPU that just makes me smile.

-the CPU playing the ball backwards
-the CPU long ball with purpose
-CPU long balls that were off target
-the physicality of tackling (human not CPU)
-physical positional battles during corners

There is some serious potential in this game with the right slider set.

I can't wait for the retail version.

The best part? The formations, and the player instructions really do affect how the tactics work.

If you set it up for the AI to play long ball with a 4-5-1, they'll play differently than if they're in a 4-3-3. Same for if you want them to play possession. Different formations have different instructions available (for example, in 4-3-3 you can set all three forwards to "get behind" for their runs, thus creating more long balls forward), so a team with the same tactic may not play the same as a team with the same tactic and a different formation.

They certainly don't seem to be on the level of detail that PES offers, but still, this is an improvement from last year.

Hot damn, I'm excited.

Is the PC and the PS4 gameplay different? On PC the CPU A.I only plays Tiki Taka whereas on PS4 they play based on team styles.

The pace is slower then 15' but faster then the beta.
In the beta the players had more weight to them, and I liked that.

Still disappointed that the only way to get your AI to make tackles is switching to classic controls. I don't want to be forced into making every play myself, if I want to play the passing lane while my AI pressures the ball, I should be able to.

Between this and the beta, I'm happy with the direction fifa is going.

Edit: also the beta had a lot more fouls, just not seeing the same amount of free kicks in the demo

Have you been noticing the "stay back while attacking instruction" for the DMF not working as intended. I notice too many times the DMF while push up past the CMF and even make forward runs whether this instruction is on or not.

However, I have noticed other instructions working as intended but this one for the DMF is bothering me.

Awesome...anyone know if you will be able to create a female this year? My daughter would be all over that.

Really liking the demo. Played a few games so far.

As far as the new features, I really like the driven ground passing. I don't know if that was a thing in past iterations of the game or not, but when you press RB while passing, you get a hard, driven, ground pass. Works great when you're trying to counter attack, to quickly start your counter. Or if you're looking for a killer ball into the box, where you have a very small window. Gotta be careful with it on manual passing, though. Many times I tried it, I just barely missed, but the ball is going too fast for the receiving player to react.

The "no touch" feints, or dekes, or whatever you want to call them, are interesting. Kind of an awkward button combo (LB+RT+direction) for me, but I think it could be effective once you master it.

Overall, I really like how it plays. The players seem to have more weight to them, the physics it seems are improved in jockeying. Also like the way it vibrates slightly when you make contact.

I also like that you can sprint to the cameraman for a celebration, lol

I just had a lot of fun tonight.... I thought the PES demo was great and now I think FIFA demo is great too.. ha ha

I guess I'm easy to please this year not sure what's up.....

I just played this demo from 7 pm - 11:50 pm straight. First time I think I can ever remember doing that with a FIFA demo before.

I just scored my first nice goal with Yaya Toure on WC difficulty..full manual slow game speed.

replays are so great.. konami should take notice

yeah I didn't celebrate.. I was to busy fist pumping doing my own celebration..

there is a lot to like about this game... need to play some more and can't wait to but so far I am liking the feeling of it. Normally the FIFA demos feel to arcade like and or way to fast paced out of the box but this one feel much better and good to me.

I think crossing is really great and trying to volley on full manual is just perfect in this game . It's tough but pure joy to me hitting it over the bar even.. any ways.. I think the FIFA demo is now much closer to correct pace and flow of the game as well. I like the direction EA is going here

I preordered and am glad. First demo I have ever played a lot of. Ever since it downloaded I can not stop playing it. In my opinion best FIFA yet!

As a girl, I am impressed that the women's game is awesome. It plays different and the CPU plays differently with Germany than USA. Very pleased with the detail and the pace of the ladies seems right on to me.

I can not wait for the full game to get here.

The no touch dribble stuff is tricky but looks beast when done right.

Someone earlier asked if you can create a female player. Can not be sure from the demo but my understanding is, no. The women's teams only can play each other and playing the demo, I get why. It literally is like playing a different game when you go from men to women. So, that said creating a female player seems unlikely as there is no women's career mode. Just create tournament and play now plus online exihbition matches. This is according to the demo itself and I see it unlikely there is a create a female just to use in these modes. Regardless, I am satisfied, I earlier was kinda bummed that there was no CM or anything with women's teams. Since I see how much they put into the addition of women, I no longer have a complaint. The game in my humble opinion is great. As a girl, I am so very happy in how they went about including women's football.

Sorry for long post... Just very pleased and for the first time in a long time impressed with a sports game. The demo actually surpassed my expectations for the complete game. As someone pretty crytical with EA Sports I have to say, job well done and thanks for a great demo, and I am sure game.

are people using the driven hard ground pass for thru balls a lot too? holy crap its super effective when used at the right times

overall this game has so much potential if the youth academy is right. if they have the YA addressed and you can have pacey youth if you can find them... my god.

SO HAPPY FOR THE 21ST @10AM!!

"No touch feints", "manual protect the ball", improved ball physics, better player models...Amazing freedom on the pitch, i feel i can do whatever i want and the game is the very balanced with the right defending. It flows wonderfully like a real football match and of course let's not forger it's got gameplay sliders too...You have to use all the new moves and learn to play with them. Then this game is beautiful.I would suggest changing the slogan to "the beautiful game".Happy days!

One thing I've noticed, since I've been playing this demo all dang day on both consoles; I don't get upset when I lose. I don't feel like I was cheated like I did 80% of the time in 15. When the CPU scores I see exactly why. Yes some times it the cpu slipping up, but I also looks like it really happened. I don't feel like there was some scripted B.S. happening. No magic tackles to steal the ball as I am about to score. No B.S. heading winners over players who are much taller to score. I feel so far pretty much every goal I've given up is my fault, or I see why they broke me down. I've yet to feel wronged in a "moment of fake magic".

And the "moments of magic" in this so far, actually feel amazing. Like I am applauding them. Even if they are against me. I know this is a demo. And its older code. And the game isn't out yet, and we haven't gotten a real idea of what the game is on "normal" long play settings. But I honestly couldn't be happier with what this is, for what it is.

As someone who has given EA a lot of guff over the last two months for how the game was presented, the changes announced, etc. I think the praise is worthy of the product thus far. Yes I would love some better/more changes to the CM/MM. But what they have done with the actual game play itself is, well, it is beautiful. I'm probably going to log 50-60 hours on this demo before the game comes out. And that is insane. Its a demo.

I have alot to say about the demo but in a nutshell, it's excellent.

They have a habit of drastically changing the gameplay with the release patch but they need to not touch anything about the demo gameplay. Maybe tune down headers a weenie bit and improve goalie coverage on near post shots.

Otherwise, if they don't touch the gameplay, this could possible be the best Fifa yet.

Had a quick play last night on the pc when I got in from work. I liked what I saw from the 2 games I played. One question.... I have only ever had fifa on consoles. Is the game exactly the same on pc as next gen consoles?

I see people talking about the women's teams? I am pc from UK and i didn't see any in the demo? Which teams are they?

Curved corners are there. Maybe not sooo curved as in 15, but are definitely there, just use diretion while filling the power bar.

About the demo, played about 10 matches yesterday against a friend. It felt awesome, very balanced. I love the physical individuality, and also the techical one, we can clearly feel some players abilities better than others.
I still haven´t tested but I have a feeling there´s some kind of help on the CPU side to avoid us from getting away with fast players. Sometimes they catchup real fast, sometimes its like our players take too long to accelerate, but it might be my initial impression.

My biggest worry is that, in those matches, its been easy to defend and hard to attack, wich leads to low score results, most of them 0-0 draws. I really love it the way it is but I´m already gessing lots of people complaining about it and EA will mess up in the final version to please the majority of online players... that will ruin this wonderfull game. As it is, its a damn revolution and I still don´t understand how the heck other soccer game can still be considered the best sports game...

About women, damn the flow of the match is simply perfect. In fact, I think man´s game should play the same way. It might be related with pass speed (wich I think most times is overpowered and needs radical fixing in sliders), or the general reaction speed of the women players, but damn that sh*t feels simply awesome!! So smooth and realistic!

It´s still too early, but I can´t stop thinking... If EA doesn´t mess this up, this is a potential instant classic, that will last years to come and will turn a reference in soccergaming world. Overreacting? Maybe, but its such a damn improvement! Its like EA took note of all the things we tried to fix with sliders (pace, pass speed, pass variety etc...). CM can be exactly how it was, minus some bugs of course, but the core of any soccer game is the gameplay, and that my friends, is absolutely gorgeous this year... for now.

As far as I know, this year is the same as the consoles version on PC.

While choosing teams, you have to change the category "Rest of the world" to "international female" or something like that. Then you can choose between Brazil W and Germany W.

The game still has all the problems of 15 on Legendary.
