One little pet peeve of mine, and I would like to be answered. But can all 3 forwards actually set picks for a guard if I call for a screen manually? And if this can be done in older games, how do I do it?

Lebrons model as a whole is so freaking life like , incredible. I can't wait till this game comes out

In regards to the Heat blitzing pick and rolls, this was a specific strategy for the early years of their run with Lebron, they toned it down considerably during lebrons last year there and now. But they do still use it occasionally depending on which big man is defending the pick and roll. Which seems like the new defensive adjustments have under control, like whiteside proffering to hang back a bit and bosh hedging harder

You guys did an amazing job this year, I'm blown away

Hopefully these new team defense adjustments work with player ratings.

It;s great I can blitz pick and rolls, but hopefully that strategy will be much less successful when I used it with slow bigs like Dirk/Dalembert than when I use it with quicker bigs like Thompson/LeBron.

How many people are complaining about the scoreboard NOW?

They still used it that last year with the Big 3 together and it got exposed multiple times during that year but Spo still ran with that and we got raped during the '14 Finals because of it. Our guys were worn down and SAS killed us then coming into this season trying to use it again while lacking the personnel.

I did not mean to imply a full-court press itself was cheese. The ability to use a full-court press all game without consequences in 2K15 was. You guys obviously addressed this by making sure there were multiple consequences so I am happy.

This is good info to have sooner than later. Thank you for setting the parameters.

They addressed that last night on the stream but I'm sure you weren't able to listen in.

They meaning czar and og not only communicated with eachother as they were developing their side of the strategies but they also talked with BEDs as they were doing things like

Yep you guessed it....bigs. They said that he adjusted the rarings as they were working on lateral movement so guys like Hibbert wouldn't have quick lateral movement. I encourage you to listen to the archive because its so much fresh info there you didn't get here.

As they said they couldn't write everything in the blogs

That is great to hear.

I know that the 'big men are too fast' complaint has been on the forums for the 6 years Ive been a member. But most of thr discussion has been about their open court speed. Their lack of speed should really show up in lateral stuff; hopefully they've nailed it.

If I trap with Dirk on the pick and roll, I want to get blown by.

Lmfao... I really hope this is a turning point for 2k becoming more sim. The youtubers know how to rally the troops. Even if Scott and Da Czar are adamant that they won't patch out stuff to make it easier for casual fans, I feel like at the end of the day 2k is a business. And if the bosses think patching things out will retain the casual fans (a much bigger market) then they would do it.

At least we'll have offline.
We were there from the beginning not some cheeser named cashnasty

We know they're worried about cheese for views. Forget them dudes

I know they aren't gonna say jack til my career news comes out

Idk if this has been stated, but i've noticed that in offscreens the defensive player doesn't get an animation like the offensive player, so he is able to cut some space pursuing the offensive player

I can't believe there are 2K fans out there that are less excited because of more actual basketball.

It's a like saying if I wanted more sim in Gran Tourismo, I'd just go to my garage and drive. In that case, can I recommend Mario Kart? :P

Hopefully the blitzing pick and rolls is prominent in the 2013 Heat team.

I know that this is hard to believe, but there are probably millions of 2K basketball fans that despise the idea of having to use realistic NBA basketball strategies.

I'm just sceptical that a company the size of 2k would be willing to sacrifice the casual fan market (which must be the vast majority of sales for them). Just to keep the niche sim market of a few thousand (if that) happy.

I hope it all works out in the end. But I will believe it when I see it. Patch 1 will say a lot.

...on the flip side. I CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS GAME ANYMORE.
I don't have a dog in the online fight, but it would a feat greater than anything they've done the game this year, if can resist the social media barrage that is forthcoming. As you and MGSW say, at the end of the day it is still a business and someone upstairs may override our peeps.

BRUH.

Bruno Caboclo is gonna be a defensive beast when I eventually bring him up from the DLeague... after he's developed a bit more.

On offense the shooting I think will be different for online because you have to account for lag. I expect the shooting to be slightly tuned easier for online because of that. I just think the days of you playing on the highest difficulty and cheesing the game are done. If you want to cheese the game or you are a casual gamer and put up 50 plus on a regular basis you will have to play on pro or lower depending on how the game is tuned. That is my opinion based listening to what Czar and OG and how they are talking about the game.

I don't know if any dev has talked about it yet but there is more defense being played for the casual gamer as well. The casual gamer or whatever might be more likely to go off ball and protect the rim if they are having a hard time playing on ball defense but they should notice that CPU AI teammates defense is better this year as well their ability to protect the paint.

I just think it will be too much to patch out defense this year.
