And a pic to show how dark their whites (and everything else) are. I'm sorry, but that's just terrible.
In my opinion, the lighting is better/improved in this pic. But I just don't feel the reflections (off the skin, jersey textures) shock me in a "real life" sort of way. Not to be mistaken, this is a very good pic, a very good likeness, and very good details up close.
All this graphics talk got me curious so I wanted to do a little comparing.
Lot of pics incoming.

Forgive me if I don't take the lighting discussion as seriously as some of you. I do think things have been a bit too dark in arenas with 2K15 and would like to see them brightened up, but I find this current over pounding of the lighting issue and 2K's graphics laughable. Especially since I recall complaints about all the reflections on the court not being realistic and the jokes about all the light bulbs they counted etc. etc. in the 2K14 hype train after the game released.
This one certainly got 2K a lot of flack during 2K14's cycle

Now we're suddenly acting like 2K14 was complete perfection visually? Come on people.

You may have a point, but I wouldn't go by this picture. It doesn't look natural. Someone played with the contrast and saturation and made it EXTREME. This jersey can be seen from the moon in the middle of the night.

2k14 was definitely... shinier?
2k15 looks lots more realistic, especially the more "true colors" in the jerseys. Perhaps the wood could be lighter on the floors, but I don't really see a major lighting issue or anything I would consider regression.
We all thought the visuals were going to improve back in the 2k14 days, but obviously that's not what happened. The graphics somewhat regressed, thats what we are trying to say man.
Whether you like it or not, The shine and reflections made the game look that much better. Without it the game just looks dry and dull.

Mehh I don't think so. I don't see over exaggerated shiny-ness when I'm sitting in the stands.
How is that going to get annoying? Why can't we compare?
Because mostly it's just over glorifying of an old game . Nobody wants to look at that every time a 2k16 pic drops , it's like every time Bron does something somebody is like " well MJ did this "

But the game only came out 2 years ago and it still does some things very well in the visual department. It's on the same console and everything. We are only holding it to a standard. So i don't see the problem.

You're entire viewpoint is skewered and while not wrong, its def misguided. You're not seeing the bigger picture at all. It has nothing to do with glorifying an older game at all. On this side of the forum you rarely see people doing "Live crutch posting" and compared to the reversal of that on the Live forums with "2k crutch posting" or "gamestop crutch posting."
People are comparing to see what was done right/wrong and comparing the progress/regression of the issues within the game and series and not on what the other game does. People are comparing this series to itself, which is within the rules of TOS.
Sorry King but 2k14 was one of the most visually stunning games produced on nex gen.
Post that OMG video and that's all that needs to be said.
Im glad to say 2k15 default lighting feels like a morgue in comparison and I pray they brightened up the arena. It makes no sense for an arena to look like they're about to do the starting lineups the entire game. Im currently playing UBR on 2k14 pc and its embarrassing how the arenas are in contrast to brightness. It's one of the things I noticed early on. Look how it seems when shooting a ft from behind the player, then look at a real picture... its bad
Im not even asking for 2k14 (im asking for better )or what would make 2k16 look great, whether its brighter, shine or even a cooler tone of the player models colors and stuff
...and for goodness sakes man fix the Nets floor, its been bad for 2 years now, and the Clippers stayed wrong all year
I hope they can add or swap or change art when they want/need to, especially with how much players change stuff. Oh I have another one for you too, king
