Watching the streams totally doesn't do the game justice. it amazes me on how I was playing 14 just yesterday, and then put in 15 today and it feel fresh and different than last year. The brighter colors and better lighting is only part of it. The game play feels slightly different too, whether it is the pacing or the new fielding animation, but it's a great change because it still just as smooth as the game play has been. Overall from the few games I've gotten to play, I'm very pleased.

Should always go 1080p if your TV/monitor can support it. The game is in 1080p. It will get you the best quality. Some people may be fine with 1080i. I prefer 720p.

Well, once I got it started it was a bit frustrating...all I wanted to do is look around and import my MLB 14 guy and It through me into a game that I couldn't get out of. Any way to skip it so I can move onto what I want to do first?? I will say though it is a gorgeous game...just watching the pre-release streams you can see the detail and in the real game it didn't disappoint.

The game is installing there is nothing else for you to play until it's done.

Ok some quick hits here before I give a detailed impression post.

1. I wanted to change up things for myself as I have been playing with broadcast when the ball is in play on offense. I am trying dynamic out......I am blown away. it's like playing a new game. I still pitch with broadcast though. Will never change that. But now that the ball can be seen off the bat before it goes to the field....awesome. I still may go back to bracts as well....I just love I can change the angle depending on my mood.

2. Directional hitting is amazing.

3. Pitching is more challenging this year no question.

4. The new speed differences are immediate and noticeable and ratings are huge in the dice role more than ever before if your an auto fielder/manual throw like me.

5. Default infield and outfield speed and reaction sliders are playing great thus far.

6. I toned down both error sliders a click for now.....was seeing more than I wanted after several games.

7. Pitch spins and breaks are insane good now. Love it.

8. Catcher Zoom 3......the truth.

AMAZING, SMOOTH, GORGEOUS. NEXT GEN ON AN ENTIRELY DIFFERENT LEVEL NOW!!!

The Show 15 on the PS4 is the truth!!!!

Day one impressions....

I hopped on COTW....hit 2 balls and got disconnected from the server.

Then me and the wife watched Mr Selfridge. Who doesn't love Jeremy Piven?

1. Hitting a HR to center field is much harder this year compared to last year. You get a big blast and the ball just dies a foot or 2 from the wall. All my home runs so far have been to right field.

2. I noticed they don't cut to the crowd as often as they did in 14. I'm fine with this really, last year I felt I was seeing the mascot too much every game.

3. Love the new sliding animations.

4. I'm starting to think short stops and second basemen knock down too many balls. Going to play some more games and see if it holds true, but out of 5 games it seem like they knock down or catch ever rocket in their direction.

5. That split screen with the pitcher and batter is awesome. It would nice if they added a split screen of the manager/batter or manager/pitcher as well if the pitcher or batter is performing badly in the game.

6. Double plays seem to happen too easily. They aren't even close. I don't know if it is the base runners running too slow or the infielders getting to the ball too fast. But you get double plays where both runners are still a good 5 feet away from base. To me that just don't look right.

Over all I am impressed with the game.

Love all of the improvements made to the game. The only area that continues to be the achilles heel of this game are the frame rate dips during cutscenes, batter walk ups, presentation, etc... While not as bad or as frequent as last year, it still drops & when it does it sticks out like a sore thumb because the on field play is so smooth. I hope they continue to iron the frame rate out because it's the only thing holding the game back in my opinion. It would also greatly enhance the immersion of the game. Other than that the game is great minus a few bugs here & there.

Using DD default with no sliders, I'm elated to see incredible hit variety, especially balls over the head of the OF and balls down the line.

In 3 games, I got three doubles down the line and several shots over the OF from all different angles.

I also saw several different types of games from my pitchers and the CPU pitchers, including games with low walk and run totals and games with high walk and run totals. Loving the default variety in game play.

The fielding. It still amazes me. What about it is making it so fluid and lifelike? It doesn't feel overhauled, yet it just feels so different and amazing. When I am just moving or seeing the players animate more lifelike in all instances I am just left staring in awe. It's huge to me. It almost gives me a nostalgic feeling that I get when I think of APF 2k8. The fielding in this game is so lifelike I feel the same joy I felt when I played the tar out of APF 2k8.

Sure, it's a weird comparison, but the more I see it, the more I think of 2k8 and how fluid and lifelike that game animated, but then this game is 10x that. There is still some instances that are not the best looking, but overall the locomotion and pure animation of player movements in this game is hands down the best ever in any sports game.

Game is better in every way over last years except for in 1 major area! Camera Angles. I don't know if anyone else is having a issue but EVERYTIME I make contact it's going into some wierd zoom state. Doesn't do it when the CPU bats but does when I do and may actually be deciding factor whether or not I go back to 14.

1st day, played a couple of games or so. Loving the dynamic difficulty as well as the new revamped Diamond Dynasty Mode (even though I will probably play mostly offline). Any talks about OS full minors yet? I usually don't start a new franchise until it comes out. I was considering starting up my Astros in MLB 14 the show Franchise, however with the scheduling bug that happens in the second year of the franchise (where series start on saturday; games played on exact same calendar dates) I chose not to. Other than that, I am really excited for another summer of EL SHOW!

I also feel like something is majorly different with fielding. Every year I've played The Show, I've put it on manual fielding within 15 minutes of having the game. This year, I can see myself going assisted fielding for a long time. The camera adjustment is great, as is the decrease in suction fielding.

Loving The Show this year. All the little changes add up to make this the most complete version to date. Absolutely loving the dirt drying, sun dynamic, pitch trajectory, plate coverage on directional hitting, and stadium atmosphere.

Only minor, minor complaint is the shoe color for Tye Waller (Oakland A's first base coach) he's wearing black shoes vs. the white shoes he should be wearing. And since that can't be fixed via manual roster modifications I'm mentioning it here.

Edit: Checked again and I'm seeing all (every team) coaches and managers wearing black shoes.

I've played about 8 games now. Hitting and pitching are so much harder this year. I'm 0-8 haha and getting lit and having trouble even getting base hits.

My profile carried over which started me on legend for both so maybe i'll take it down to learn the new directional hitting. I'm really disappointed they removed Pure Analog from last years game, I can't find out which hitting method I'm going to use this year.

I just saw another which is more of a technical issue I believe.

Pitchers with long hair have their hair go from low res to high res when you select the pitch type to throw.

It is annoying because there is a jerkiness to the head of the pitcher and the long hair goes from low res to high rest quickly. Once you notice it the damm thing becomes an eye soar
I commented on this a few days ago (got the game early) hair. Sleeves. long hair. Look at the grass right before you pick a pitch then right after. The resolution changes or something.

My impressions after playing 4-5 exhibition games today.

- Hitting on my usual All-Star difficulty seems harder this year. Enjoying the challenge.

- Loving the new feel of fielding. More realistic and noticed lots of new and welcomed fielding animations.

- Digging the new cutscenes and presentations that show off more of the parks and show emotion from the players in clutch situations.

- The menus during the batting/pitching screen will take some getting used to. Will enjoy the faster access to the information once I get more familiar with it and what buttons correlate with specific info/feedback.

-Last but not least, my favorite feature of this years game...the lighting! Man, this is very impressive. It shows off the beauty of the parks and the environment inside and out. Playing a afternoon game w/partly cloudy skies at Progressive. Sun was beaming down on the batter during the middle of the game. One batter later, the clouds pass over and the lighting on the batter dims and its a bit darker at the plate. Very, very cool. Gonna love this lighting system over the course of seasons in franchise.

This game is definitely on the right track of looking and playing like a next gen baseball game. Kudos to another great game from our friends at SCEA and hope all you guys enjoy this game as much as I have so far.

I play many games with rain and I rarely ever see it visually when pitching or batting field level but I see it pouring in cut scenes and high fly balls in the sky ?

Once again the game plays great out of the box and Im enjoying allstar default and Im seeing all types of plays and physics just wish there was more presentation like cut scenes and the highlight reel at the end of the game ?

Why would something simple as that be removed ? I thought the PS4 had plenty of space .

First reaction out of the box is my goodness this game looks so beautiful. Everything seems so much more real than before. I didn't think that the equipment would have that kind of effect but the little things really do make a difference. I mean the sunset at PNC Park in July even feels so real.

However, this already has become an instant classic for me. I played a game with the White Sox for fun, since I wanted to get a feel for their roster, I think I'll be using them for a franchise as a holdover until the full minors rosters come out. Decided to throw Jeff Samardzija, went out and not only threw my first no hitter this year, but my first for as long as I've been playing the show and my first no hitter since mlb 2k6 I think. I'm already so excited for everything else as I've only touched the tip but I'm already addicted!
