Now that MLB 15 The Show is available for everyone, we would like to hear some early impressions from the OS community. Early impressions from the lucky OSers that found a copy early, can be seen here.

I am doing CPU vs CPU to test the stat averages and see how they compare to real MLB averages on default sliders. Right off the bat my first game doing this I saw some really odd manager AI logic.

Cards at Reds tied 3-3 bottom 9th. Votto gets int walked to load the bases. Next guy grounds out or strikes out. As the inning changes it shows that skip schumaker has replaced Votto. I go to the box score and see he was put in as a pinch runner. This would never and should never happen. Hell even if Votto was the lead runner and it was the bottom of the 9th this would probably not happen. There should be a rule to exclude players with say 90+ rating of being pinch run for in a situation like this.

I was only able to play 3 innings worth last night but was happy with what I saw. I can definitely say the hitting is a lot harder than last years game. Through the 3 innings I'm leading 1-0 on a wild pitch and I've swung and missed 7 times already against Darvish >.< lol

I like it so far.

Have been having a tough time getting my PS4 to come out of rest mode - had to hard reset - today. Not sure why, but hopefully not connected to the show and hopefully not ps4 dying.

I hit a 2-run game tying HR with manny machado, but when the next batter came up i noticed the score had only gone up by one, and the dude who was on 1B for the homer was still on 1B. WTF?

Graphics look better this year, especially player faces and animations. Grass looks terrrific. Lighting looks good but I have only played a few games so I haven't noticed a ton of different lighting styles.

I have adjusted salaries for a few teams and am liking what I am seeing. We may be able to get close to real salaries. The games arbitration engine is pretty close and many salaries are close.

If anyone is willing to help add salaries to 40 man with me I'd be more than willing to run some tests.

Perhaps the game treats every batter in Phils lineup as a pitcher, therefore defaulting to a 1-1 count?

I only played 4 innings last night and had a good mixture of counts. Was playing as Dodgers vs Padres (Shields) on HoF hitting.

After playing 7 full games, with no pitch count here are my impressions:

- really miss pure analog hitting. I'm late for fastball, early for changeup. I just can't get my timing right. My timing was always relative to the stride, which was relative to the pitching motion. Now, that I don't have to stride, I cannot time my hitting. Hopefully it only takes a little time to get used to

- there are too many flyball outs. I had only 2 double plays in the 7 games, and I use the RedSox who have a lot of groundball pitchers.

- Graphics are great

- haven't received my card pack for playing 14

Nope. I got 4 silver items (a batting glove, one DD card, a ritual item, and a minor league park). Also did not get my 12k Stubs for the Anniversary edition, but did get the 6 packs of cards when I entered the code on Playstation Store. Pre-ordered from Gamestop, if that matters. I saw a couple people saying they did eventually get their stuff, planning to log in again this evening and see if things sync....

Have you tried incorporating the stride in your swing anyway? Just curious if it can be done as that is what I am hoping to do as it helps my timing.

Haven't played the game yet so I didn't test it myself.

Are you talking about pitching into double plays? Cause I've played 2 games, and hit into probably 6 or 7 double plays already.

I got mine. Disk version.

Im not usually one to have an issue with trades. And my main franchise will be 30 team control so it wont really matter. But simming a season to see how it turned out. Royals traded Alcides Escobar to the Rockies for Jordan Lyles and Drew Stubbs. Then the Rockies traded him back to KC for Lorenzo Cain.

Do you get something if you played The Show 14 on PS3 and then transferring it to the PS4 version?

Love everything so far that doesn't have to do with stripes on the Cardinals stirrups.

I played a morning game in April and it looked great. From pictures I've seen, the lighting is perfect and it really makes a difference. Busch Stadium looks better than ever. The streams didn't do it justice.

I also saw the Cardinals receiving line after Holliday hit a homer. It was great too.

I've created my DD team; I'm the Pittsburgh Crawfords. Will post photos in the photo thread. One guy I played in Extra Innings had Dave Winfield, McCutchen, Ernie Banks, Cano, Killabrew, Posey, Braun, Niekro, and a bunch of other gold and diamond level players. I wonder how much he paid for that team.

I still beat his team because I had Niekro's number. I pulled very fast guys who hit get on base.
