NBA Live 15 News Post


NBA Live 15 is available today for both Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Since more people will have their hands on it today, we figured it would be better to start a fresh new topic.

If you want to read some impressions from the EA Access version, click here. Otherwise, play a few games and post your impressions.

NOTE: If you are looking for the game or demo in the PS Store, they typically update later in the afternoon.

EA Sports has posted their full list of controls for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

Below is a list of items that have arrived in the first in-game update:
  • Updated scanned player heads for D. Rose, J. Noah, K. Leonard, and C. Anthony
  • Updated San Antonio Spurs Championship jerseys
  • Cleveland, New Orleans, and Charlotte courts have been updated
  • Updated jersey icons for MIN alternate, MIA Floridians (Hardwood Classics), PHI road, CLE alt 2
  • Updated accessory colors for new Cavaliers uniforms
  • Updated "Pull the Chair" Post Move
  • Updated catch animations on inbound passes
  • Updated "Up and Under" layup animations
  • Updated team show colors for Sacramento
  • Jordan shoes updated for players in Rookie Showcase.
  • Steal rating updated for K. Humphries & J. Hamilton
  • Updated accessories on several players
  • Updated rosters to reflect recent player moves
  • Updated player shoes in the All-Star Game
  • Moved some players to the free agency pool
  • Updated player portraits in Live Ultimate Team
  • Info updated on several players, including playstyles, positions, jersey numbers and more
  • Foot planting with pump fakes has been updated
  • Shot timing updated for free throws

Wiggins taking flight




Ive been playing with different teams now, after spoiling myself with the Spurs. I wanted to see if I could just score and break folks down with anyone. It was harder than what I was expecting, thankfully.

I still haven't figured out the difference between the right trigger size up moves, and holding the RS leaving the LS neutral. It kind of confuses me actually

Did they take the spin-gather modifier out of the game? I have yet to be able to do it. Hop-Step, Step Back, Drop Step, Euro Step is all good.

In one of the loading screens in the demo I remember it showing the spin gather - rotate the RS as you would do a spin move then press Triangle/Y.

It might be Y and rotate the L stick like a spin move.


I wish there was a place in the game where you could view all the loading screens like a slide show.

I agree Walt Frazier. After the response yesterday I received in regards to the Roster Update I decided to jump back to the other side for my Season Sim experience. Can't say I wont play this from time to time but it won't be much. They already have my money so I'm not gonna complain about that but I am disappointed in what they have done with this game up to this point. Updates and all are great but I was hoping they were gonna produce what they advertised to get me to purchase this game and that has not happened up to this point.

Enjoy it fellows because it is a fun game. PEACE!!!!

Yeah things that should be done ASAP.

1. Update Roster
2. Fix Rewind Games
3. Stabilize LUT
4. Make interior D better
5. Manual bounce or lob passes
6. Tweak 3 pointer shot variance, it either swishes or hits the rim and misses. There should be more make and miss possibilities, hits the rim hits the backboard and then falls in, hits one side of the rim then the other and pops out, hits the back of the rim and deflects into the basket, etc.
7. CPU reach in fouls
8. The D on both ends needs to be more active in pushing rebounds out/away from the basket. Increase more tipped rebounds.
9. Open the window for shot then change to pass decisions
10. More post moves
11. Larger defenders need to have more dominance over penetrating smaller players
12. CPU needs to run more plays from their playbook
13. Shot timing increased slightly, it's too quick now

Since you are making a list...let's not forget no out of bounds, (force field around the entire court) and the horrible off ball movement exhibited by both CPU and players. Those are two big ones for me...

I finally got around to downloading the trial on XB1. I must say that Live 15 is a solid game. It's not particularly deep, but it really is a good "change of pace" hoops game. It also reminded me of why I always enjoyed Live, even though I have been more of a 2K fan going on 10 years now. The soundtrack is just dope and it screams basketball. And like most people have mentioned, the arena sounds are just insane. Even if they are a bit exaggerated. I kinda like that "big game" element. I'm still getting a handle on the controls but they work fine for the most part. I suck at the game, but that's to be expected as I played Live 14 for a grand total of 5 mins last year. Even though I suck, the game is still fun. Live always was fun for me, it just wasn't deep enough from a gameplay perspective and that's still the case. I might snatch this up if I can find a 20-30$ deal somewhere around Black Friday.

Going to do a synergy test tonight.

Currently the Pistons are the worst 3pt shooting team in the NBA.

So if I play against them and play sound D, they should not hit more than 5 or 6 tops.

The (swish it's in or rim it's out) on shots has been in Live for a while. I'm not sure why they cant get more variety when it comes to rim interaction ??

OOB was fixed apparently. Someone did it in an online match when I was playing yesterday.

Am I the only one not seeing this? I've seen quite a few different animations for the ball going in. Shooters bounces, rolling in, etc.

Surely it can't be tha hard to get an up to date roster out as well.

If they stopped adding animations right now, I'd personally be fine...whatever, work on them in the offseason and add them to Live 16...

Just work on collisions in the paint man...you could be standing right in the hole with someone coming directly at you and you'll only get a collision about 60-65% of the time....last year was probably around 45-50%...so it's an improvement, but that should be the priority IMO...

The 'rag doll physics' are great to look at in replays and all that but I'm not seeing them really have a big effect within the actual game...

Yep, I see variety on mid range jumpers and shots in the paint. The three ball is a swish every time though.

I've seen several different makes from 3. My favorite is where it hits back iron and forcefully through the hoop. You can hear the thud on the rI'm on the way through too.

Yep, still missing.

On a cool note, just turned it over off of a bad pass out of bounds in Detroit, and heard the "Detroit Basketballllll" pa announcement
