I'm uploading it to youtube as well. This is the game that I just finished, Wolves at Cavs (me). It was the NBA today type game, so I just played it. I shot 46%, they shot 49%. I shot quite a few mid range jumpers, and a very low % of my points were in the paint. Stats forthcoming.

These players need to learn to run plays, screens, picks and swinging the ball around perimeter, as well as working the post. The game will open up if you become adept at the various facets of the game. Just my two cents. I've not had issues with shooting, as long as I've followed basketball rules.

It's not a lot of fun playing like that. The penalty for semi contested shots is too severe, so it eliminates things scoring form the triple threat with a mid range pull up, or situations where you hit a 3 point shooter and the defender is 1-2 steps away. I will say that the majority of WIDE open shot's from 3, (mid range jumpers are iffy regardless) offline hit a lot more than they were, but online it's pretty bad.

To the guy's who are have no problems shooting mid range jumpers etc. i'd love a stream or video seeing you in action. That's not a challenge to what you're experiencing, I would just like to see what you're doing to get those results...i'm stumped in that regard.

Right. I do feel they still pushed it a little bit too low. The best and most advanced players on the forum are still barely shooting above 50% while the majority of people are struggling. They should turn it up just a little bit..

The A.I is just horrendous right now. No strategy whatsoever.

This is their chart form the first half

Nothing but attempts in the paint. That 3PT attempt came from a heave at the end of the shot clock. The teams are somehow more generic than they were before.

It's not really a challenge at all, I was up 8 at the half and I'm up 17 2 1/2 minutes in. For some reason the Bulls decided to start ETwan Moore in the seiche half instead of D. Rose.

It's a mess man, I don't know what's going on.

This gets called contested shot in this game all the time now after the patch. And your shot will miss just because it is called contested, great release don't matter. Look at how much space there is. It should just be called guarded with that much space between the shooter and the defender.

They called this shot contested as well and this is even a bigger gap.

Yeah, I'm at the point that I don't want any more tweaks in shooting period. It's perfect for my taste.

EA says the Rondo trade is now updated.

I second that shooting should no longer be tweaked. Tweak other areas of the game but shooting is ok now IMO. Ratings only is an option if still not satisfied perhaps? Off course edits/Sliders would be very welcome

Yep, Rondo trade is in. Shooting is easier. I just used the Kings, lost to the Mavs, but I shot really well. Especially from mid and long range.

Just shot 68% fg and opponent 45% fg Wiz vs Raps Dynasty game! ( saved stats for anyone interested ). Made several makeable shots in this one no doubt! The numbers are skewed by the easy buckets towards the end of the game. As you all know the game really opens up if you adhere to good shot selection and maintain a respectable fg% and although this fg% is high it does occur occasionally in the Nba (check last night's games for reference ). However, this shouldn't become the norm so that's another reason we don't want shooting to become easier!

I truly hope they didn't make it too much easier this time. Is the defense still in tact? How was the fg%? More mid range game from the cpu?

Ok, finally logged into the EA server this morning ( I didn't earlier because I wanted to use original roster). After playing a few short games in Dynasty, I've answered my own question. The team at EA has found a way to open up the shooting, particularly mid range, without compromising defense or making the game too easy! As the game stands currently, I get the same type of challenge from the cpu as I do with OPTION 1 of my defensive settings! As others have said, continue work on other aspects of the game, but this is good progress folks!

So are people going with Ratings only now, or Ratings and Skill?

Yancy

man the endless driving into the paint by the cpu drives me ****ing crazy.

I played again yesterday. It played great.

But when I started getting behind due to cheese I started to cheese myself and it became a cheesefest. Made me realize that the game plays great when you want it to, until you don't want it to. There is a lot of cheese
