NBA Live 15 and First In-Game Update Available Today, Post Your Impressions

NBA Live 15 is available today for both Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Since more people will have their hands on it today, we figured it would be better to start a fresh new topic.

If you want to read some impressions from the EA Access version, click here. Otherwise, play a few games and post your impressions.

NOTE: If you are looking for the game or demo in the PS Store, they typically update later in the afternoon.

EA Sports has posted their full list of controls for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

Below is a list of items that have arrived in the first in-game update:

Updated scanned player heads for D. Rose, J. Noah, K. Leonard, and C. Anthony
Updated San Antonio Spurs Championship jerseys
Cleveland, New Orleans, and Charlotte courts have been updated
Updated jersey icons for MIN alternate, MIA Floridians (Hardwood Classics), PHI road, CLE alt 2
Updated accessory colors for new Cavaliers uniforms
Updated "Pull the Chair" Post Move
Updated catch animations on inbound passes
Updated "Up and Under" layup animations
Updated team show colors for Sacramento
Jordan shoes updated for players in Rookie Showcase.
Steal rating updated for K. Humphries & J. Hamilton
Updated accessories on several players
Updated rosters to reflect recent player moves
Updated player shoes in the All-Star Game
Moved some players to the free agency pool
Updated player portraits in Live Ultimate Team
Info updated on several players, including playstyles, positions, jersey numbers and more
Foot planting with pump fakes has been updated
Shot timing updated for free throws

As the above post mentions, all games have flaws--and this one is no different. Yeah there needs to be more customization. But as a somewhat 'casual' basketball fan, I can pop this game in--and play it, and have a lot of fun. I don't have to spend hours scouring the threads for 'the right' sliders, and spend hours testing them out. In years' past, I found myself waiting for the right rosters and right sliders for so long, I never wound up even really playing the game.

I love that.

The arenas in this game are remarkable. If you haven't, go check out the Hornets digs. Too tight. I will say the floor at The Target Center in MN is ugly, lol.

Actually...The other game offers the choice to play the game "casual" or simulation..just go to game settings and change the gameplay style.You can pop in and just play the game the WAY YOU WANT...I Will give them that...I can choose which style of ball I wanna play...BOTH titles can be pickup n play

Yup. I was the LAL and I played the Nets and Kobe was 9-13 in threes. It was on SUPERSTAR level no less. This was the first time I played this game in about 2 weeks and I just couldn't take it anymore. From the idiotic cpu-logic to the slingshot animations to the "floating" passes to the lack of signature shots....this game just doesn't cut it for me.

Sold Live 15 and picked up 2K15 for $30 on a early Black Friday promo deal. While not a fan of the 2K series in the past, it's still way more playable than Live 15 - not to mention regular roster updates. Also Kobe doesn't look like he has a massive jaw tumor either.

That's what I was holding out on Black Friday pickup for one of these games...

I'm still not sure which one but I'll be grabbing one of them Black Friday for cheap.

I'm more used to Live's gameplay haven't played 2K since 2011 version but the things I love to do edit rosters and create classic teams can only be done in 2K this year so it'll be a tough decision for me.

Yes!!!! kobe is like a 3 point God on there...lol I played against my homie a week ago he had the lakers and I had the clippers....He would just run down the court give the ball to kobe and "threeeeeeeeeeee....!!" I was pissed but couldnt do anything but laugh in disbelief...

..it was a fun game but cmon son he was out there like reggie miller\ ray allen lol!!!

I have both Playmakers and, honestly, if you want real team styles and playbooks , editing etc etc...then there is no choice. Live is fun, but the lack of any editing meqns all teams are generic. Unfortunately...

Catch and go feels about the same to me....booted the game up to check it out since it was one of my biggest complaints...still experiencing that half a second delay leading to blocks or failed possessions unfortunately...

I finally might pick this up today. I got a lead on kijiji to get a nice mint condition PS4 copy for $ 40. Can't go wrong with that.

Edit: Ohhhhhh Kijiji, the wasteland where the regretful go to sell their games...lol. Got it for $40.

If they tune down 3pt percentage, free throw percentages, and paint percentages, and have less swishes and Then patch back in the floater, raise up collision detection on layups so their are more contact layups occurring and remove the latency from doing a post move like a drop step or step back and actually shooting so it's one motion instead of two separate animations and the game will be so much better.

Not trying to bash, but based on the mods (sliders and rosters) I've personal seen you contribute to this forum from NCAA Football 06 up until now, it's not a tough decision at all. This game just needs another year.

So, if somebody quits in the 1st quarter during ranked matches I don't get a win.......great :-(

Wasn't this a NBA Live 08/09 problem ?

I understand if this happens before tip off (like the other game) and no win being recorded. I'm cool with that. But if your well into the 1st quarter, a win should be awarded.

I don't see the logic in this ?

All you have is bunch of people quitting in the 1st quarter so they don't get a loss. Didn't enjoy my first night online.

Also the matchmaking is weird. Same people all the time, whenever I was the home team, the same guy would always be the visiting team ?? I mean for like a half hour straight ??? His record was 120-20 (or something like that). Weird......

I don't think matchmaking is broken. There are not many people playing this game.
