NBA Live 15 News Post

EA Sports has just released their NBA Live 15 improved visuals trailer. They have also released the NBA Live 15 features list.

Let us know what you think!

Lights, Camera, Action
We’re doubling down on visuals with an all-new scanning and lightning technique for the most photo-realistic player models in franchise history. Add into the mix player specific body types and contextual emotional responses and you will truly feel like you’re in the action.

Real-Time Physics in the Paint
Feel the impact of real-time physics on every drive, post move and collision in the most trafficked area on the court. 100+ new animations make it possible for something unpredictable and amazing to happen on every play. Scoring has been amped up with 3x the variety of dunks, layups and signature shots as you impose your will on your opponent with physicality you can feel.

Ultra-Responsive Controls
Passing, shooting and dribbling will feel snappier the moment you pick up the sticks. Freestyle Passing takes your assist game to the next level with no looks, behind the backs, and more. An all-new shot feedback system teaches you how to successfully get buckets, measuring three key factors in real-time to determine shot quality. Enhancements to bounceTek allow you to make cuts and change momentum on a dime, giving you the ability to create space and pull off devastating skilled dribble moves on the run.

Smarter AI & Transition Game
New AI logic drives all 10 players to move with intent and purpose while displaying greater off-ball awareness, adjusting as every play develops. Add in a smooth transition game as well as real-world offensive sets and defensive schemes and you’ve got 48 minutes and 94 feet of end-to-end, dynamic gameplay.

Defense Is Fun
New defensive systems make it easier to contain your man by using just the left stick. Contextual physicality, bumps and jostles, in addition to a new shot blocking system, delivers simplicity in controls helping you make that big defensive stop when your team needs it most.

I'm serious about keeping this thread on topic.

Eventually I'll get tired of saying this is an NBA live thread and just start banning guys because I think there has been enough warning given already.

Will it be a recent build is the question

If EA were truly smart they'd put the game on pc also no reason not to

After looking at the uncompressed video and with the initial wow factor gone I can see a lot of the issues that has been present with Live for years, players still move unnatural with that rubber man like effect, dunking is still just ugly.

The music in the comps trailer fit perfectly. Don't let societal norms blind u. Last years comps trailer had no rap as well and was great . the energy level of the live trailer fit the music provided as well

Watch the uncompressed trailer on your HDTV . Looks good ! YouTube took out a lot of detail

Also Come On EA Blake jumps way higher than that rim grazer dunk

Those screen shots are looking very suspect and brings me back to not caring about anything live does until I can play the demo and really see of this game is worth 15 minutes of my time

Agreed I just watched the uncompressed version as well. Really looks like a completely different game in that versus the youtube version.

Great job EA.

Nothing is blinding me. Some alternative genres do fit these trailers, but realistically hip hop fits basketball the best and I don't see what's wrong in saying that. It's the flow and rhythm to the beat. Basketball has a flow and rhythm to it. People often refer to it as poetry in motion, they really go well together. This has nothing to do with cultures and what not.
Football is more violent and physical sport so it fits music that matches that intensity. A perfect example is a song like "here comes the boom." You can't tell me a trailer of big hits on players wouldn't work perfectly.

I thought the video looked sweet and I hope I"m missing it...

But is there any type of franchise/association mode this year?

Most likely they will have the Dynasty mode from last year. I can't imagine they removed it, but it doesn't look like there have been any updates to it either.

I wonder how much they can upgrade the modes post release? If they were able to fix gameplay significantly last year is it plausible they do the same for the things they couldn't get to during the development cycle pre-release?

This is why it's called a trailer and not gameplay vids. They are titled differently for a reason. Trailer are carefully selected replays(in some cases CGI) of the game that shows off some areas of the game the development team wants the public to see. A gameplay vid is live footage of the game in action.

The thing people are excited about is that all those tiny clips are actually in game so even though it's in a tiny sample size this what you can expect to see once the game is released.

Getting you excited is something a trailer is supposed to do which I feel this did. I have a friend who is a die hard 2k guy and he is even thinking about getting Live because of this trailer. The reason for my orginal comment is because this is a trailer... It's there to build hype. It isn't there to be nit-picked, dissected, bashed and defended. People hate just because it's the thing to do, EA has become a long standing joke when it comes to the live series now. People should just hold comments like animations look wonky, jersey textures look terrible, stuff like that until they actually see gameplay. That was the point of my post.

So then completely ignore the trailer then? Watch the video and then say absolutely nothing at all? Yeah that defeats the purpose of a message board. A gameplay video isn't going to change jersey textures man. Come on now

You're right a gameplay video won't but time could.... We don't know what kinda build this is off of. I just find it funny that you are always jumping right in to throw this game and ea under the bus. Regardless I'll get both again this year I'm just hoping I ain't trading in Live a month after I get it. I just think it stupid to ridicule a hype trailer. Now I'm out for a while enough of this, I've indulged way to much already

Yeah I see you haven't been paying attention at all. I've been positive about the trailer outside of pointing out the jerseys and the animations. Maybe you should try reading the threads before making assumptions.

I'm impressed. I still want to see gameplay, but GOT%#@$* I'm impressed. Show us some 5 vs 5 EA. I love Madden 15's tutorial mode. I hope EA implements something similar with Live. Please let the physics and gameplay kick ***. That's all I really care about.

I'm with you on that 1. $%^@ I remember when 2k cost $20. I always bought both but I enjoyed Live better because of the control scheme. I hope they bring it this year or I'll pass on both. I can already tell that 2k will still rely heavily on scripted animations that will only frustrate me. EA needs to bring it.
