Ok ,rented the ps4 version and simmed 2 years, stats were pretty decent. Much improved. Keys things that i noticed was that young qbs went up quick!

Manziel and Bortles were 99's after 2 yrs and older players retired or lost only about 2-5 points to their ovr's.Not too bad and after 2 years 13 teams had switched starting qb's.

Only glaring issue is that Luck was off the Colts and on the chargers after year 2. Roethlisberger and Bradford swapped teams. Manning dropped to a 75.

Some glaring numbers

Newton: 10 td, 23 int
Big Ben: 12 td, 20 int
And manziel went 27-13.

Interceptions are still high. Wilson threw 22 picks for example.

How many players were above 20 int's? Just because Wilson has 22 doesn't mean they are high last year the following players had over 20:

Eli - 27
Flacco - 22
Carson - 22
Geno - 21
Dalton - 20

Stafford had 19. So if its around 5 (+/- a few) it's just right.

just did a sim, these were my results. 9 qbs over 4000 yards, but none over 5000, im ok with that. 21 qbs had 20 or more touchdowns but none had 30, thats a little off but its only one sim.5 qbs with 20 or more picks.

everything else looks pretty good in reguards to other positions

Because 3 elite QB's (Brees, Brady and Manning) and one who has the best WR in the league (Stafford) all threw for 5000 yards suddenly it is a new trend in the NFL? Last year there was a grand total of 2, in 2012 there was 1. That's hardly a growing trend.

This is a problem. Going to have to do a lot of editing on those two.

dude, are you just making these numbers up?

these are the top 10 receivers from last year

1 Josh Gordon, WR CLE 87 159 1,646 18.9

2 Antonio Brown, WR PIT 110 165 1,499 13.6

3 Calvin Johnson, WR DET 84 156 1,492 17.8

4 Demaryius Thomas, WR DEN 92 143 1,430 15.5

5 A.J. Green, WR CIN 98 180 1,426 14.6

6 Alshon Jeffery, WR CHI 89 150 1,421 16.0

7 Andre Johnson, WR HOU 109 181 1,407 12.9

8 Pierre Garcon, WR WSH 113 184 1,346 11.9

9 DeSean Jackson, WR PHI 82 126 1,332 16.2

10 Jordy Nelson, WR GB 85 126 1,314 15.5

That's an average of 15.1 yds per reception. Some guys averaged 18 and 19 yds per catch. Not a single player in Madden's top 10 averaged over 14, and some years, no one over 13. That's a pretty big difference.

I just find it disheartening that everyone is so happy about these new numbers because the bar for accuate stats was set so low with the previous sim stats. These are still by far the worst sim numbers of any of the 4 major sports games, by a pretty big margin.

And there's a lot of other innacuracies in the sim numbers across the board, but I haven't really looked at everything in depth, and the innacurate passing and receiving stats are the two that stand out the most to me.

I'm not trying to nitpick for the sake of nitpicking, but these are still not good sim numbers just because the previous ones were so bad. They're just not.
I clearly said top 10 by receptions. If you believe the stats to be deal breaking, fair enough. I don't see them as outside the realm of reality.

Not always the case, though. I simmed about 6 years twice already, and both times Manziel never rose above the low 80's, and Bortles stayed in the low 90 range.

Something interesting was EJ Manuel was always about an 80 OVR, then 4 years in he went to the Bucs and passed for over 5k yards and 50 tds. Shot up to 99 OVR the next year.

How stupid! Almost 60% of the OS community play offline and they only fox the online stat issues. This was clearly a money motivated fix. How hard could it be to come up with a fix that you can apply to both online and offline to appease the masses?

I could be wrong but I believe the fix is online only because they're able to push online updates whenever they want whereas an actual patch needs to go through certification with sony and microsoft and typically takes a couple weeks. I think it's great that they put out the fix as soon as it was ready especially considering playing a solo online franchise is a viable option.

You understand why though right?

Online CFM's since they are hosted on EA's servers they can apply fixes to them at any point.

Offline CFM's will require a patch to be installed on your console locally. This in turn requires them to go through the Microsoft and Sony patch approval process which takes weeks.

It's literally impossible for them to apply the fix this quickly to offline CFM's.

i've had my inlaws in town since wednesday, and haven't been able to play any games, let alone come down stairs and relax in my favorite chair.

this is awesome of EA to roll out this quickly.

a lot of people not down with playing online cfm here. i don't get why there is so much fret. in fact, i'm a bit surprised that playing your cfm online isn't the only option available simply to eliminate sony and ms from the equation as far as game updates are concerned.

anyhow, been playing single person online dynasties in NCAA since the option was available. i don't think you lose any functionality, but you gain the benefit of being able to access you franchise from the internet.

clearly that's the benefit of online, that and quick fixes. now EA needs to add more functionality to the internet.

custom playbook
sliders
etc
etc

From what I can tell the only real difference, is manual save points, lack of in game saves, and reliance on your connection to EA Servers.

what are the differences of play an online CC to offline ???

# 116 bsurocksrule @ 08/31/14 02:24 PM
Online, you get the fixes announced. Offline, you have to wait for a patch to download.

I really don't feel like reading through 1,000 posts, so can someone just give me a simple answer.

Did EA release a fix for the simulated stats?

Totally makes sense for online leagues.
So if i make changes and don`t advance the week and quit the CFM. when i come back those changes are not going to be saved?

ONly saves when i advance the week?
