Also there's an option to have each team be on auto pilot either for an unlimited amount of time or you can pick how many weeks? What is the point of this though if we can turn off and on the FA signings, draft duties, etc.

Confused about this.

Also if I turn off simulate game prep in the options, but leave auto pilot on...does the CPU coach still do the game prep?

Changing the playbooks if for simming purposes. When you actually play a team, you load the game with their playbook returned to what it shold normally be, so that you experience the CPU team more like it's reali life counterpart.

Over years of CCM, you'll have to watch as teams change. If Peyton retires and the Broncos have a new QB, they may change their game approach to fit their new QB and personnel. In that case, I think the user should make a decision about 1) what if any changes should be made to the scheme and playbook for simming purposes and 2) what playbook should be used for user versus CPU games against that team.

That's my guess, anyway. If you take over 32 team control, you'll have to pay attention to some of what's best for the other teams over time, and make decisions accordingly.

If you dont then every time you try to play a game it tries to go through the game prep for all 32 teams before it allows you to play your game. It's actually not freezing, but literally taking 5-7 minutes going through and simming every teams game prep. Once I turned the simulate game prep option off I had no problems with the games loading for me.
So just to clarify, if you wait it out you can then play your game, and have the benefit of CPU teams doing their weekly prep?

It's a pain to wait, but it would at least be nice to know that CPU teams will be able to develop their players, etc.

Has anyone tried simulating a season as a single player online CFM and compared the stats?

Yes, I am actually trying a 10 year sim to see what that's like but the stats after 1 year are pretty much like the video on page 1 of this thread.

max ~30 TDs
max ~4200 yds

Last video of the day guys, I hope it helps. Basically, changed playbooks to pass balanced or balanced and all schemes on vertical offense. Ran 3 sims, results are extreme in some cases but an improvement on the whole.

So I decided to change up defensive schemes too for my testing and making sure no team is on "attacking". Unfortunately in doing so, I found another fun bug. When taking control of an existing coach (or your own, it seems), there is no "Base 3-4" option in schemes. Several coaches have it by default, but the moment you go in to change their offensive scheme and playbook, you'll never be able to keep their defensive scheme at Base 3-4. Unfortunately, I was hoping to take all the "attacking 3-4" teams and turn them into base, and now I'm left with turning ALL the 3-4 teams into zone blitz 3-4 or hybrid defense. Well played, guys. Well played.

True. I almost only play offline cfm so it does kinda suck. The gameplay is awesome though.

Agreed. I wouldn't care if the gameplay was weak but damn this game is a lot of fun. Just a few easily fixed (on EA's side) issues.

I'm still getting an infinite "Loading Data" screen even having Simulate Game Prep off. I had to restart the game for it to actually start the game.

There are more bugs in this game then meets the eye.

It's is really fun to play. Honestly, I wish I could go to being a kid. That way I would have loads of free time and could play every game.... Just like I did in my Tecmo Super Bowl days.

Damn you adulthood!

Anyone play a desent number of games without the changes? I'm wondering how computer stats are if you area thallus playing if different at all.

Best case Scenario is that EA releases a patch within the upcoming weeks to fix this problem. The moment they do that I will go out and buy the game. Madden looks really promising this year and from what I'm hearing the gameplay is fantastic.

Has anyone tried supersim games?? Instead of just simming week to week are the results any different.

Just was bored cus amazon wants to take forever to ship my game.

Put together this sheet to try and show about where Boxers sims off of Angels workaround is from reality.

Sheet has last 4 years in several categories, from ESPN. Then has his 2 sims from page like 57, and his other 3 from page 60.

Bold mean that video doesnt show all the possibles, mostly the bottom end of the range though he doesnt always show receiving stats.

From what I take is that the workout might give us slightly more 4k passers, it kind of takes them from the 3500-3999 range passers so its not horrible imo. Rushing TD's are a bit down from last couple years, too few in the 10+ range mostly but again not really horrible especially the way the NFL is going more 2 back and pass heavy. Couple of the sims have heavy rush attempts but for the most part its not too far out of possible outside of sim2.

Receiving he doesnt always show but it does look like its a bit on the high side for catches, but low side for yds. However, he doesnt scroll down so cant verify that.

Defense is pretty bad and the worst now that we have the workaround. INT you cant see the bottom end because it only shows top 8 when he sorts, but they dont seem out of whack for INT numbers(there was one 10int season which I dont view as too much of a stretch by any means). Sacks is what is off. In last 4 years for NFL there have been 2 20+ sack guys. In 5 sims there are 13, and I know Strahan has record with like 22, there was a 30 in there for sims. The other 2 ranges I was using for sacks are actually not that bad in terms of numbers.

This might be useless to some, I just like to have a visual chart to see the comparison and I was bored waiting on game. Good day.

Is this a problem on PS3 or only PS4?

# 557 angels28 @ 08/27/14 12:16 AM
On ps4 and it's "loading data". What the hell

Really? You obviously didn't look at last year's stats. There was an entire thread dedicated to the horrible qb sim stats. And another thread on an attempted fix. The fix last year required editing the entire roster.

Yep. It's a serious bug and I'm surprised that not many people have mentioned it. I bug reported it along with 1-2 other people.

Someone mentioned that you have to turn off simulated game prep for all 32 teams that you control, but thats not it because this happens to me if I just play a brand new franchise with just 1 team.

You have to exit out of the game, restart it, and then you can play again. But if you make any kind of change to your roster, depth chart, or even do game prep right before you start a game it freezes up on the Loading screen. Then you have to exit and restart again.

It's incredible how this made it past the QA team.

My mind is just blown away at this point.

This is also a bug just like the sim stats. This one is really annoying too. Better get fixed
