Not sure if this has been discovered yet but in CFM in league settings there's an option called user teams were you can set teams on auto-pilot

Any ideas on what's going on?
I have had this issue too. 32 team control and everything, played one game and completed it with no issue, then played another and it froze after the game . I played 2 games after that and I was unable to get into the game at all (it froze on the loading screen). These were all week 1 games for the 2014 regular season if it means anything. And I have also been making the proper switches for each team (vertical, balanced, etc.) and then switching back to their normal playbook if I am playing as the teams.

yeah i had the same problem, i just quit madden and restarted the game and its working now. I hope i don't have to do that every time i make a change to something…i have all other 31 teams on autopilot…its a bit of a process but it might be worth it if it fixes the stats

To those of you having trouble playing games with 32 team control, you have to turn the simulate game prep option OFF for all teams. If you dont then every time you try to play a game it tries to go through the game prep for all 32 teams before it allows you to play your game. It's actually not freezing, but literally taking 5-7 minutes going through and simming every teams game prep. Once I turned the simulate game prep option off I had no problems with the games loading for me.

This sounds bad. What system is everyone on that is having issues?

EDIT Sounds like Glen came up with a solution. Good job.

Oi.
I know its too much to ask but can we limit the posts in this thread to the stats issue, the fixes and workarounds and the impact of the workarounds instead of the normal EA sucks complaints?

There are plenty of other threads to gripe and claim the game to be the offspring of the devil. Some of us are trying to help the community and increase the enjoyment of the game.

Does this mean that if we decide to sim a few weeks ahead with it off they will not game prep and every team will lose xp opportunities or confidence? Turning it all off now because I wanna play a few week 1 games

So basically every simulated stat category is messed up. I know it's punting, but have you seen the averages? Lechler leads the league with a 37.5 yard average, he averaged 47.6 in 2013, lol!

Yea I did not mean to step on anyones toes. This basically breaks offline cfm for me, which is what I buy the game for, and I was upset that someone was defending the process that put out such a broken sim engine. I will refrain from negative thoughts and think only happy butterfly awesome thoughts and things from now on.

On a side note, I am in the lab, and the workaround seems to be producing better stats, but now I am worried that the only way to play a game is to turn simulate game prep off. That puts the cpu/user autopilot teams at a disadvantage. Its like whackamole with these issues.

Did you bother to read my post? I mean really you took from what I posted as it being about making negative posts? Really?

When I tested last night I didn't look at defensive numbers or special teams.

Are defensive numbers off as well?

I haven't, but with testing I've seen that both Playbook and Scheme makes a difference. Move Pass Balance to West Coast on playbook with both at vertical, you'll see Pass yards drop 700-1000 yards. I'm not saying that leaving the playbooks will never get you good stats, but I know you'll have more leverage if you do change.

So if we have to turn off simulate game prep for all teams, then they won't do any game prep therefore no progression or confidence increases correct?

Defensive numbers look ok. Sacks are a little high. Int's and tackles are about right. I haven't played with the defensive playbooks yet. Might do that tonight. Pretty happy with the offensive numbers from the work around.

Correct some have learned that sack totals will end up in the 30ish for some players..my hope once I get my hand on the game..is to also edit defensive schemes as well to combat this to a certain extent..it appears we have a play count problem or maybe blitz (aggressive play call) issue.. Which makes me think of an idea..what if we only change defensive schemes? We looks at the passing totals as a offense issue when the issue maybe too "strong" defensive sim stats? As sack totals at " normal" sim stats we still high

When I looked last night it seemed it was a play distribution problem. Too many rushing attempts when compared to pass attempts.

Maybe I was off. Let us know what you find out.

Are you guys just simming seasons to test stats or playing your team games? I'm trying to find out if we absolutely have to turn off simulate game prep for all the teams for this to work.

Trying to learn this as well...if I am looking to just do an offline franchise mode, do I need this fix and how do I do it?

I know it's probably been asked a million times to death but, does changing the playbooks/schemes etc.. in the long are detrimental to your CCM? As in, one day when Peyton retires and the Broncos have a crappy QB, is there any way to stop them from throwing like they have an all-time great QB?
