Shots FIRED! Finally, someone in the media speaking out. Let the voices be heard. The truth is the truth.

Those shots were fired a week ago and already posted at OS, bullets already gone by.

Thought it was something new.

Here's another example of the new tech for organic falls and collisions to happen more naturally. A real pileup

Yeah well was new to me but if it was already posted my bad. Still, doesn't change the fact that more and more people are opening their eyes. Either way, lets hope this helps get things really going in the right direction. Not just BS promises.

EA needs to take this tech and utilize it for goal line and short yardage situations. Actually do something that's never really been replicated.

That's exactly what it's for, this was from a short run play, 3rd and 1 I believe. I read in a impressions article about goal line pileups, I'll find it.

I'd love to see video of this. Curious why he'd only provide a still.

OK, I saw this vid before. Not enough interaction for me but the resulting pile up looks good.

Like I said the other day this is just phase one, they're building towards real gang tackling.

No more "building". It needs to be in this year. It's 2014 and we can't have realistic gang tackling? I'll repeat that again. IT IS 2014!

That'll be phase 1 done in year 5 of a 3 year plan.

If they would have fixed Pro-Tak instead of throwing it out, we might be there.

Take out the magnetized/suctioning of players and the whole "Pro-Tak moment" forced aspect (and breaking the tackle and walking in for a TD), and you have a working gang tackling AI behavior.

Heck, go back to what M12 did - you know when we could have multiple players hit a ball carrier to bring them down and get lots of assists instead of going games where guys look like they did nothing because they had 0 solo and a bunch of unrecorded assists. (and yes, I know M12 had the pancake bug)

I get that M12 was purely "canned" animations, but the game is ALL animations - any game is, animations and hit boxes.

Lol, thanks for the video. That exposed that little pic of the pile up. That's exactly the same bs pile up that's been in madden since last year. Phase one... more like phase 25. Enough with the phases already. Facts are facts, they've had the license for 9+ years now. And the sad thing is, there are still a crap ton of things missing that an old title like APF 2k8 has. Very sad. Phase one... really?

Honestly, what have we gained from this half-*** foray into "real physics"? It's laughable that they dumped a workable/fixable tackling system for this mess. I can't even count the number of times in a single game a player collapses to the ground, legs turned to jello like Harry Potter cast a damn hex on them, and it totally ruins any sense of immersion I may have lucked into. The whole thing is a joke.

Can you imagine if some start-up sports game came out where the players collided, bounced off each other like boneless sacks of meat, then collapsed in a heap in a way that makes you think every player on the team just simultaneously shredded their ACL's? It would be laughed out of business.

At this time building towards real gang tackling is unacceptable. Should have been one of the first things this team ironed out. How do you have football without gang tackling ? Im sick of the "building, phase one, 3 year plan talk." This is YEAR 3 OF THE INFINITY ENGINE and we still do not have true gang tackling. Whats the purpose of the engine then ?
