MLB 14 The Show Available As Day 1 Digital Download Available to Download Now (PS4)

MLB 14 The Show will be available as a Day 1 digital download at 12:01 AM EST on May 6th. (SEE UPDATES BELOW) Similar to how users were able to download the PS3 version, expect it to be available at that time, give or take a few minutes.

It doesn't appear as though you will be able to pre-download, as some hoped with the latest PlayStation update. VG24/7 noted Watch Dogs will be the first game available for pre-download, releasing on May 27th.

UPDATE: As of 10:30 AM EST, the game is still not available to download.

UPDATE #2: Due to unforeseen technical issues, MLB 14 The Show for PS4 is not currently available for download via the PlayStation Store. All parties are working as quickly as possible to remedy the issue. We�ll update this post as soon as a resolution is reached. Thank you for your continued patience.

UPDATE #3: Based off of the many responses, the download should be available for everyone now.

I just called customer support and they told me there is no refund all purchases are finalized and game will be able to download at 5 pm est..

psn will probably update as late as possible judging by how this is all going. Sigh.

You got a bad support person, or they had a plan to hand out X number of refunds. There's quite a few that have gotten refunds. There are also a few that say actually getting your money back is even harder. So it may be a blessing in disguise, it may not be!

finally got to chat with an "agent" online..standard protocol convo but they said they would refund back to my PSN wallet and then CC after that..no telling when but makes me feel better since at 10AM I'm going right to gamestop to get a physical copy even though using a gift card lol

I funded my wallet through PayPal. I'll probably just dispute the charge through there if I don't get a refund.

I was told a few hours asked for a supervisor and was told definitely today it would be available for download then said unacceptable and I want a refund to my wallet.
He put me on hold for 5 minutes and came back with a case number and said it would take 5-7 days for the refund to be applied

Technically, quite a few have been told they will receive refunds. No one has received anything yet. He may have just gotten and honest agent.

FWIW I was able to get a refund. Talked to someone via Sony's chat and they tried to talk me into waiting for a fix as they were "working very hard" to get it going. I told them no chance, been a PS user for 18 years and this is completely unacceptable.

Got a confirmation number from them, went to WalMart, got a hard copy.

In fact, we got a chat saying we will be refund in 7 days. We'll see with the email will have in 7 days. If there's no refund, why bothering telling us we will have one?

and this is why I NEVER digital download anything..

this is how we learn folks

not to mention, takes 20 minutes to run to the store and buy it vs a 6 hour download time

If they tell you that you will be refunded, you have to be. Talk about an uproar. I predicted this last night, which is why I'm glad I did this far in advance.

Does anyone else think they knew about this but didn't want to tell us because of fear of losing the digital pre orders? Hard to imagine they had no idea this was coming.

just curious dk if this is answered or a nonsense question but are dl times around the same for physical and digital..not trying to argue speeds of internet just wondering because ik my digital dl of 2k took forever so will a physical copy of the show take as long as that?

I agree, ill be buying more games this year as well, just not with psn wallet funds or digital downloads. Most games I trade in, just not sports games usually since I play them all year and they are worth nothing next year. So that was my thought on this one, ughhh.

For the record I was in contact with tech support every day until I got my e-mail stating the refund was denied. I'm pretty sure if the game comes out before 12am tonight you won't be getting one.
