MLB 14 The Show Available As Day 1 Digital Download Available to Download Now (PS4)

MLB 14 The Show will be available as a Day 1 digital download at 12:01 AM EST on May 6th. (SEE UPDATES BELOW) Similar to how users were able to download the PS3 version, expect it to be available at that time, give or take a few minutes.

It doesn't appear as though you will be able to pre-download, as some hoped with the latest PlayStation update. VG24/7 noted Watch Dogs will be the first game available for pre-download, releasing on May 27th.

UPDATE: As of 10:30 AM EST, the game is still not available to download.

UPDATE #2: Due to unforeseen technical issues, MLB 14 The Show for PS4 is not currently available for download via the PlayStation Store. All parties are working as quickly as possible to remedy the issue. We�ll update this post as soon as a resolution is reached. Thank you for your continued patience.

UPDATE #3: Based off of the many responses, the download should be available for everyone now.

Where I agree is that if I got a mail saying no refund, then it's going to be the bank involved and Sony won't get anymore money from me at the Store.

I just got up from bed expecting to see MLB 14 The Show waiting for me to play and it never downloaded.

Not sure. I was planning on saving my franchise progress to the cloud and just delete the game from my ps4 and just download the game sometime this weekend when I hope traffic is low.

I wonder if I can just download the game with the physical disk installed and if the download would be quicker. I don't have much experience with this so I don't know. I wonder if I only need a license to be downloaded for the digital version to allow me to play without the disk.

Got through to support on Live chat. Spoke with the Jose S. At this point they aren't even arguing anymore. I asked for a refund and she just asked for my PlayStation Account and ID. Gave me a ticket number and told me the refund would be processed in the next 7 business days. As others have noted, there may be reason to be skeptical about ever actually receiving funds. But, at this point I'm done with the digital version of the game. I'll grab a hard copy during lunch.

No, but you can request a refund through PlayStation Support. I just requested a refund on the phone, but there was no guarantee. So, I wait and see if this is ever resolved...

Same here. I doubt it will be refunded.

So, I just tried the live chat option... Started at 56 for my spot in line, after approx 20 - 30 mins, was finally first in line, then... no one available, and it booted me. I am EXTREMELY upset with Sony right now. Has anyone else had any luck?

Please stop with any generic complaining--need just useful in this thread for those of us just checking in to see what is going on.

This is my first day one digital order. I have it set to do automatic downloads and updates, PS4 is in stand by mode, I am NOT a PS+ member. So I am wondering, when it is available--will I get a notification that it downloaded, is available for download, or will I have to do it all manually?

Customer service says that there is a ps4 store update and that's why it isn't out yet it will be out in a few hours I am getting a refund

Even if I don't get a refund, it's a relatively cheap mistake/lesson. Better than last year when I tried to buy a house. Paid for the appraisal, inspection, etc. just to not end up buying. That was almost a $2,000 experience! So I can live if that $60 doesn't return. That's not to say I won't be following up 7 days from now.
