MLB 14 The Show Available As Day 1 Digital Download Available to Download Now (PS4)

MLB 14 The Show will be available as a Day 1 digital download at 12:01 AM EST on May 6th. (SEE UPDATES BELOW) Similar to how users were able to download the PS3 version, expect it to be available at that time, give or take a few minutes.

It doesn't appear as though you will be able to pre-download, as some hoped with the latest PlayStation update. VG24/7 noted Watch Dogs will be the first game available for pre-download, releasing on May 27th.

UPDATE: As of 10:30 AM EST, the game is still not available to download.

UPDATE #2: Due to unforeseen technical issues, MLB 14 The Show for PS4 is not currently available for download via the PlayStation Store. All parties are working as quickly as possible to remedy the issue. We�ll update this post as soon as a resolution is reached. Thank you for your continued patience.

UPDATE #3: Based off of the many responses, the download should be available for everyone now.

I'll still go digital on a game I know I'll never trade in because a) no tax, and b) no swapping discs.

From Home Screen, go to Store. Down twice to games, scroll over to The Show, click. If no download, up one, over one to Search, put in "ML", go over to The Show, click. If no download, hit home button.

Wash, rinse, repeat. One of these times it'll work. I hope.

Physical copies are also fully installed to the harddrive though, too. The real pain with downloads is if you delete to make space and have to download it again.

I agree about suing being ridiculous, but 2 hours past when they said is not acceptable. If it is PST, say that from the start. Don't say EST and then put it out far past the time. I was fine when it may have been 12:30. But now that I am sitting here 2 hours later, I'm quite pissed off.

Not sure what your point about no store being open at this time is, when we still can't even download. Either way you don't have the game.

Tax, I could see being a decent reason, but it is still only a couple of dollars, which is offset by losing any trade value (even if that is only $5 by the time next year's game comes out).

This happens alot. Theres no mistake just takes time for these things every now and then.

Same here. The convenience of only being a click away from the game I want to play is such a wonderful thing. Lazy? Maybe. But it becomes more and more frustrating having to constantly keep getting up to exchange discs.

I just don't want to store the physical media anymore. I buy movies, games and music digitally almost exclusively at this point.
