MLB 14 The Show Available As Day 1 Digital Download Available to Download Now (PS4)

MLB 14 The Show will be available as a Day 1 digital download at 12:01 AM EST on May 6th. (SEE UPDATES BELOW) Similar to how users were able to download the PS3 version, expect it to be available at that time, give or take a few minutes.

It doesn't appear as though you will be able to pre-download, as some hoped with the latest PlayStation update. VG24/7 noted Watch Dogs will be the first game available for pre-download, releasing on May 27th.

UPDATE: As of 10:30 AM EST, the game is still not available to download.

UPDATE #2: Due to unforeseen technical issues, MLB 14 The Show for PS4 is not currently available for download via the PlayStation Store. All parties are working as quickly as possible to remedy the issue. We�ll update this post as soon as a resolution is reached. Thank you for your continued patience.

UPDATE #3: Based off of the many responses, the download should be available for everyone now.

Nah, his dispute won't even get that far since there's no fraud involved.

He clearly authorized it and they won't find it in his favor.

I work for the "other side" and I assure you the bank won't take the hit for it. This will be up to him and Sony to decide, and it won't end well for him.

After witnessing the chaos and supreme over-reaction in this thread, I'm actually quite happy I bought it on Amazon instead of going digital.

Unfortunately, I'm now sitting through a Royals/Padres extra inning game that won't ever end. It's probably worse torture than you guys are suffering through waiting on the download option to appear........

Yup, by going digital, and not having to manufacture the discs, then the plastic cases and inserts, it should be saving them money. How much? Who knows, but it's one reason why there's a growing contingent of ppl that are lobbying for digital games to be priced cheaper than physical.

So, what is your "style" for refreshing the MLB page?

Are you exiting out of the store each time?
Just hitting back to the main screen?
Using the search feature?

I go to the top click on the playstation store button, down to games, must-haves, down to The Show, click download now, rinse, repeat

if the predownload worked digital is by far the best route to go, all though im sure are systems would fill up awfully fast.

What we don't know is what the costs are (server space, bandwidth, etc.) for hosting a ~40GB file to be downloaded tens or hundreds of thousands of times.

I would guess it is still cheaper to do digital distribution, but my point is we don't know all of the details.

The game is probably being released at 12 am PST/3 am EST if I had to guess
