Not sure what your point about no store being open at this time is, when we still can't even download. Either way you don't have the game.

Tax, I could see being a decent reason, but it is still only a couple of dollars, which is offset by losing any trade value (even if that is only $5 by the time next year's game comes out).

This happens alot. Theres no mistake just takes time for these things every now and then.

Same here. The convenience of only being a click away from the game I want to play is such a wonderful thing. Lazy? Maybe. But it becomes more and more frustrating having to constantly keep getting up to exchange discs.

will there be any advantages to getting the digital version over retail besides just taking forever to download? performance wise etc? I haven't purchased it yet and am holding off..

I just don't want to store the physical media anymore. I buy movies, games and music digitally almost exclusively at this point.
