MLB 14 The Show - Operation Sports Full Minors 2014 Opening Day Edition Available Now

The Opening Day version of the MLB 14 The Show Operation Sports Full Minors is ready for release.

As in past years... A LOT of work has gone into creating these rosters by many, many contributors.

I would like to thank each and every one of them IMMENSELY!
Without them all, this task would unlikely come to fruition.
It's a labor of love for all of these guys and I would like to ask anyone that comments in this thread to please be civil (unless you are heaping on praise...then go full bore!

)

I'm sure there will be disagreements on player choice, potential and any number of ratings. That's fine and all will be taken into account, but don't degrade the thread with posts that are unbecoming.

I for the most part stay with the editors spirit of how they see their players. There were changes for balance. For the most part, I left potentials unless I felt they were too far out of bounds.

There are roughly 1500 user created players in this set.
All minor league players are edited to be a real player, with all faces done.

The set is mirroring Opening Day as best as possible in lineups and rotations at all levels. There were some cases where a total AAA or AA could not be met, as prospects took precedence.

I don't want to mention any editors in particular, but RidinDwnKingsley must receive a big mention here. The guy is just tremendous in his efforts to get this set out. Big kudos here.

Also note that Willard76, a major contributor is going to take the O.D. set and edit a ton of things (including SCEA players, which are all "stock" on this set) for his release of the Hybrid set (here is the thread, I encourage you to check it out.)

On the Yankees.....
I think that most have an issue with my potential ratings....not actual ratings.
Could I been a bit more free with the B ratings?
Yeah...I guess.....but I'm more of a conservative in regards to that.
I think the biggest problem is...I didn't decide the potentials for everyone this year(I would usually "hand out" the A/B's to each team).....and for me.....if I research a guy and he is a "high risk" to reach his potential....he lost at least a half letter grade(since there is no way for us to give the POSSIBLE potential...AND the probability for reaching it)....
There are just two many misses, regardless of draft position IMO.
That being said....if you look closely.....I gave a lot of those guys high 70's for potential, which is borderline B.
Does the Yankee farm system have guys that can be impact players? Sure.
I'm not saying they have no chance...but I just think that it's less than some people are alluding to.

I don't think we changed him to a CF.....nor did we correct it from SCEA.

Knight i know this is a OD set but im trying to keep up with teams transaction .Some teams like the angles , dodgers players were release can you upload in the vault some milb players to replace them .

Yasiel Puig with 68 speed? Jayson Werth as a LF? Peter Bourjos at 80 speed?

Man I swear, these default rosters are some of the worst I've seen in a sports franchise. Thankfully they have guys like us to fix their game.

Do you know how to edit anything? Always on here asking for things. Try it yourself my man. Its not hard and its actually pretty fun. I enjoy doing it.

Beside player postion and rating that all but your right i should stop ask so much.If i knew how to work on caps and i would't ask at all sorry if i come across annoying im stop asking, commenting for now on .

I put a 25 man roster up. All AAA, AA, and A were taken off the 40 man. And i added a guy to Detroit AA to give them 25. I hope i did it right. username is mike_m2k9

Tested and Uploaded the 25 man rosters. The only thing I changed was to take off the minor league guys from the 40 man. Tested it in a franchise and the rosters come out like they should after spring training.

He's rated fine. He's 20 and has a high potential. He's right where he should be. If you want to make him all 99's, then by all means do it. But these are the most realistic rosters on the planet, we don't do that.

Does anyone go through and balance the different teams at all? It seems that some teams minors are rated much higher than others. Granted, some teams minors are better, but its weird seeing one teams aa and aaa players have contact numbers in the 70s and another teams with numbers in the 40s.

Obviously with different people doing different teams, there isnt going to be consistancy, but i thought in years past there was more balance.

I really appreciate the effort that goes into these, Ive used them for years. I dont want to appear ingrateful, because I know the time and effort you all put into these. I just wanted to see if anyone else thought the balance between teams seemed off.

If you use the regular rosters in order to keep the lineups from getting screwed up after you end spring training, you would have to make every roster move for every team and if you don't the computer will jumble them all up (example: like starting Arod at 3rd for the Yankees). If you use these the rosters will stay just as Knight and the others had configured them. You will just need to add guys to the 40 man as you call them up during the season.

They also had BJ Upton at RF instead of CF, he and Heyward need to be flipped.
