MLB 14 The Show - Operation Sports Full Minors 2014 Opening Day Edition Available Now

The Opening Day version of the MLB 14 The Show Operation Sports Full Minors is ready for release.

As in past years... A LOT of work has gone into creating these rosters by many, many contributors.

I would like to thank each and every one of them IMMENSELY!
Without them all, this task would unlikely come to fruition.
It's a labor of love for all of these guys and I would like to ask anyone that comments in this thread to please be civil (unless you are heaping on praise...then go full bore!

)

I'm sure there will be disagreements on player choice, potential and any number of ratings. That's fine and all will be taken into account, but don't degrade the thread with posts that are unbecoming.

I for the most part stay with the editors spirit of how they see their players. There were changes for balance. For the most part, I left potentials unless I felt they were too far out of bounds.

There are roughly 1500 user created players in this set.
All minor league players are edited to be a real player, with all faces done.

The set is mirroring Opening Day as best as possible in lineups and rotations at all levels. There were some cases where a total AAA or AA could not be met, as prospects took precedence.

I don't want to mention any editors in particular, but RidinDwnKingsley must receive a big mention here. The guy is just tremendous in his efforts to get this set out. Big kudos here.

Also note that Willard76, a major contributor is going to take the O.D. set and edit a ton of things (including SCEA players, which are all "stock" on this set) for his release of the Hybrid set (here is the thread, I encourage you to check it out.)

NO, these will only be opening day just like always. There will be someone that Im sure will put out a up to date transaction roster if thats what you interested in, or thats the way its been in the past. I think the majority of us like to keep it realistic with OD rosters to start our franchises, so that why you wont see the 1st version or so with any moves made after OD.

Not that I have any problem with knight keeping it opening day, but what is realistic about say, playing pirates vs mets and having Ike Davis on the mets? Seems like if you want to "keep it realistic" you'd want players on the teams they play for.

Its so that people can have a realistic franchise. Many on here do franchise with 30 team control and then move players when they actually were moved in real life. Starting Davis out on the Pirates is unrealistic, you should move him to the Pirates when it actually happened. That is the most realistic way to do the roster since in franchise you start on opening day, not May.

Yes but if you want to start a franchise, I think most couch GM's prefer to play it out from the beginning of spring training with how the rosters were structured at that point. At least that's how I feel. You want it to be realistic from the start of the season for a franchise. If you wanna go online and play with some buddies or simply run an exhibition game, then I'm all in with an up to date roster (ie Ike Davis on the Pirates)

I think most of us, prefer to make th emoves oursleves in our chises as they happened IRL, thats what makes it more realistic than having current rosters to the day we are IRL.

Personally for me I cant play with a roster if it isnt set to OD to start my season cause I follow real life transacations and injuries in my chise and add them on the day it happened IRL

Fair enough, I suppose with 30 team control on, moving Ike to the pirates on the day of the trade makes sense.

Yes...still planning on the correction update being ready tonight.
I have just about everything done...I'm just doing a ****load of face corrections(PS3 version......useable for the4....but I don't think the faces translate badly at all.....and I don't think it's worth going through them all ....)
I probably need about an hour.....maybe an hour and a half.

Not necessarily the thread for this type of question. But in regards to your question, I don't know. I've only done it via downloaded music from a USB.

Knight, I saw a couple Yankees fans weren't thrilled with the ratings of a few prospects. You said you'd check it out and I just wanted your thoughts. I haven't had a chance to look at it yet, but if you're comfortable/happy with it so am I. Thanks for everything man.

Was Miguel Sano's power being upgraded at all?

I know the 60's for a true '80' power grade prospect (only 3 of them in the past 8 years) is pretty low. Fangraphs Steamer had Sano for 40 HR this year.

Most scouts think he could have hit 30+ (along with 220K) at the ML level this year.
