MLB 14 The Show Video and Screenshots - The Stadiums (PS4)

We just received a new video from Sony of MLB 14 The Show featuring the new and improved stadiums in the game. The video centers around the theme of "The Cathedrals Are Better."

We have also grabbed plenty of screen captures from the video. You can take a look at them in the screenshots section.

Some tidbits:

PS4 allows for individual blades of grass to be modeled allowing for more realistic striping of playing surfaces.
Up to 1,000 unique character models in the stands. Kids will be amongst the spectators.
Bat boys are included.
Better color depth and accuracy, especially for night games. Seriously watch the video it looks amazing.

Also the flags look much better now blowing in the wind compared to that off screen video we saw a few weeks ago.

just kidding but who ever posted that back when all pro 2k football came out was awesome. Good point about the game not running like it would on the ps4.

It's still compressed

Ramone posted a few hours ago that on the Sony blog we would be able to download an uncompressed version, but then a link was posted to the Sony blog and there was no download link

Why is there a police siren sound at around 1:38 in the video? Is it a common sound used at AT&T Park?

I just want to know why the rosin bag is not on the pitchers mound? I would like to know if this will be possible in the future? Other then that I am just jumping for joy over how good the PS4 version looks for year 1!

IMO, those slightly underwhelmed are entitled to their opinion without being jumped on. In some cases I agree with them (netting over monument park), and in some cases, I think they are being waaaay too nitpicky. I personally think the stadiums look great and believe they will look even better during a game and in versions to come.

Those who thought their $400 PS4 should be blasting their eyes with $1200 video card wow-factor, don't have realistic expectations IMO. For a truly wow experience, I am holding out for project Morpheus to change the game entirely. Until then, the game is looking pretty good folks. PS3 owners seem pretty happy with the game, so we're in for a treat on PS4.

I'm loving this game on the ps3. I would be in content with just that version. I can't imagine how happy I will be with ps4 version.

Off topic here, how will the save carry over to ps3 to ps4, Will it be by the cloud? or thumb drive? If it's the cloud how do you transfer the data to the cloud? Just wondering. I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere.

So true I see grown men holding signs all the time at ball games.

Also I am starting to think there are old 2K baseball guys roaming around here and they are just hating on the show for the fun of it.
