NBA 2K14 Patch Available Now For PS4 - Post Your Impressions

The NBA 2K14 patch for PS4 is available now and according to Ronnie, will be available "later" for Xbox One.

The patch fixes MyCAREER save file and The Park connectivity issues. If patch notes are released, we'll update this post.

Let us know what you're seeing.

	Patch 3 is the big one folks. Lots in there, so it's requiring some solid development time. This patch just resolves a few key issues to get some people playing and to ensure a few key services are functioning correctly. The lead time on patches (from when we're done to release) for XB1/PS4 is upwards of 2 weeks depending on first party load.

Man...I never expected something like this after all these years enjoying a great game, but they are human and they know they screwed it up.

It's clear that they are struggling with the jump to the next gen so they only thing I wish is that these 2K skilled guys give the best of themselves to fix all this mess asap. I'm sure they can and they will learn from the mistakes.

Does anyone else have a problem with my gm where it doesn't allow them to create a gm. When I start it it doesn't make me chose a gm and the only thing I can do is play games. Every other mode works including online and my career

Thought we were supposed to be able to save our own rosters now...

2K's post release support has always promised a lot and delivered very little which is a shame because they do make a great basketball game.

They were too busy thinking about how much VC to charge for everything that they forgot to finish the game, lol.
Also, if they released patch notes, almost every question in this thread would've been answered.

Who cares if it takes upwards of 2weeks once the patch is ready to up for download? People literally can't play entire game modes! Absolute joke. i've seen 2K take a huge step towards resembling EA this year.

I bought Madden 25 and NBA 2K14 at release with the PS4 and sadly I've only been able to play one game since I got my PS4. Pretty sad and extremely pathetic. Never will I waste my money again without getting reviews first.

It's not showing up for me. I even deleted the game and is currently reinstalling it now.....am I suppose to just turn my ps4 on, go to the game app, and wait while the update is downloading? I'd appreciate it if someone can answer my question n help me, haven't heard back from anyone yet. Sorry for the noob question.

Love that this thread has been less that useful, and is just filled to the brim with VC whining. This is an impressions thread NOT complaints about stuff we knew months ago.

Sad that I and the quoted are the only ones inquiring about game breaking stuff (Dolby sound glitch etc.) yet you're all complaining about VC...

I completely agree. I dont have the patch available yet in europe... But would really want about the dolby stuff cause that is extremely annoying!

Dolby Digital is (still?) a problem. I've been having issues with my headset randomly disconnecting in the transition to PS4, so I must not have used it before while playing 2K, but today I did, and the sound is royally effed up. I was listening to music through the Music Unlimited, and it just started skipping out of nowhere. So I stopped it, but the skipping persisted with just game sound. I honestly thought it was my headset, or my Optical Cable, and almost bought a new cable. Guess I'm glad I didn't.

I have Turtle Beach DPX21 (so I have the DSS Earforce), which has lights indicating what quality of sound is passing through it, and it was literally endlessly switching between the 2 formats. So yeah, the glitch is in full effect.

After the patch the game continually loops on the game load screen before a game.

Can someone official please just tell me if this patch requires a restart on mycareer???
I just played a post patch game and had to play complete second half again. Guy could barely run at end of game and get blown out by 20 again.

I was going to actually bite to bullet and put some real money into buying VC. I'm definitely waiting until all these issues get fixed first though.

Does anyone know if they'll fix the myplayers looking super buff! For example, my guy weighs 185 lbs and is 6'7 but looks as strong as Eddie curry .. Why doesn't his body change according to his weight???!

You can't TRUST the reviews

Most of the reviews LOVE the game. Your best bet is to just wait until the true hardcore gamers like those here have played and posted to see how the game actually will be.

Not if you had your settings at Real FG% before you started your MYCAREER. Nothing fixes the issue if that's the case.

thanks for nothing. selling this game asap. bunch of effing bs. pay $60 (plus vc!) for a game that doesn't work except for 1 mode. awesome.
