NBA 2K14 Patch Available Now For PS4 - Post Your Impressions

The NBA 2K14 patch for PS4 is available now and according to Ronnie, will be available "later" for Xbox One.

The patch fixes MyCAREER save file and The Park connectivity issues. If patch notes are released, we'll update this post.

Let us know what you're seeing.

Patch did nothing. Still crashes my original MyCareer that I put real money into, and still crashes my 2nd one I was forced to start at the fight in practice scene. Still can't purchase VC. 2k support needs to give me all my VC back. I really am sick of 2k14 Next Gen. Beautiful game but these issues have snatched all the hype away for me. I hope one of those 2k devs on here read this and understand how they let a loyal 2k supporter down. Since Dreamcast and PS2 smh. I hope Live levels up so I can cop that instead of 2k next year.

Thanks for dropping by and actually communicating with your customers.

Take your time on patch #3, in the long run your customers will be much happier if you do it the right way and do the proper quality assurance and testing then to rush it out and leave us with more headaches for possibly the rest of the year to deal with. There is A LOT that needs to be addressed, so there needs to be a solid and substantial patch for the game.

If you could please release detailed patch notes for the next patch that would be greatly appreciated as well. Thank you!

I WANT TO KNOW THIS AS WELL. I mean seriously, if they want to have this game playable....at least address this. I understand that this is first release in a new ENGINE. But thats not a good excuse to have this game unplayable because of these SIMPLE issues that some were already in CG and in 13.

I think im seeing little gameplay improvements, but im scared to list them for fear of the placebo effect.

-feels like playing on-ball defense has more of a balanced feel, less of a slippery feeling.

-I think trying to continue to drive after getting a cut-off animation results in a bump backwards more often before.

im getting corrupted audio after the patch. menu music to in game audio sounds like corrupted mp3s

What a shame - 2K actually made the gameplay look (and feel) phenomenal....

...and it doesn't mean a damn thing because no one can actually get to, ya' know, experience it.

How in god's green earth did this game get packaged and put on the shelves? Did any of the developers actually play their own product prior to release?

lol, wow. so i thought deleting the game would retain the save files. apparently not. so i just lost MyGM and MyCareer that i $spent$ money on. lol, cool.

i just wanted to test out a clean install with the update.

edit: restarted ps4 and it had my saves (thankfully?) but it still crashed so w/e.

Nobody tested the patch for the sound glitch? Through hdmi and optical? Dts and dolby? Dolby?

Remember when the Patriots did a buy back on Hernandez jerseys, well I think something like that is in order. I didnt pay 60 bucks for a coaster on my coffee table.

Do some sort of buyback promotion. We all expected issues with new consoles but this is just absurd and there is no excuse for any of it.

It's no placebo...this is tuned to CG style....I'm loving it right now...its less frustrating covering you man....

All I need now is the roster update and I'm set...

hard to test when it crashes still. doubt it's fixed. the audio thing is annoying.

Well, I'm a glass half full kind of guy.

But the patch did absolutely nothing for me. I only play mycareer because myGM is unplayable for me right now, everyone knows about the park issues, as well as the lacking online modes.

Im stuck a couple games after the All Star break because every time I play the Bucks I get the crash error as soon as the game ends. I've replayed this same game 4 times and its pretty disappointing.

I'm not mad at 2k, their marketing department deserves a nice raise. It's just disappointing to have a PS4 with NBA 2k14 and have to play College Hoops 2k8 (GREAT GAME) on PS3 lol!

This patch though...no bueno

I think that's coming in the 3rd patch.
