I love this game. Played 1 half, Kings vs Heat. 12 minute quarters, score at half time was Kings 44- Heat 37. I was on my defensive a game, LBJ had 9pts on 4-11, Wade had 13 pts on 5/12 andBosh had 6pts. I was shooting 37% and held the heat to 29% shooting. First time I've stayed up playing a game in a while. Each team had 4 blocks in the half.
Have to hit the sack but will hopefully be playing all weekend.

One thing I am a bit disappointed with is the lack of ratings changes so far. On the wizards, Eric Maynor is having an all time worst season but Live is telling me he is one of the best shooters on the team. Ariza is having a career year from 3 but his rating is still at 71. Just taking synergy data from the season so far should change at least the shooting ratings for these players.

Really enjoyed my first day with it. It's a good sidekick to 2K when I'm trying to get my basketball fix in.
I know there is still a lot of work to be done on it, but I genuinely enjoyed it for what it was. I knew what I was getting every time I put in the disc.
I don't know if it is nostalgia or what, but I really like having 2 basketball games again. I'm excited to see what improvements the team makes over the next couple of months.

I think the #1 priority in the next patch should be to fix paint defense...it's pretty bad...I feel like I am at the games mercy if someone is attacking me straight on...I have no idea if there will be a collision or not....and most of the time it's not...same with players under the basket..,
I like the way players rally in the paint with their arms straight up, but it's pretty much for show unless you pull off a block...
Same on the other side of the ball...the spacing is great,..but for what when you can pretty much get to the rim and score...this makes it less of a chess match and more of me holding myself back to mimic simulation lol

Lamarcus Aldridge just KILLED me and the Kings. 54 Points. Dude was near unstoppable, add to the fact that when I'd double, he'd set up on the same side as Lillard, for an easy kickout. I was helpless. I cut it to a 5 point deficit late in the fourth, but Lillard shattered my hopes with back to back 3's.
Then, I tried to take a picture of the Blazer's Leading Scorer's in the post game score, and the game froze

Damn with 2K frustrating me despite how pretty it is, I'm considering going to the dark side.

Love this about the game. The CPU AI is pretty darn good. They make adjustments accordingly and there is nothing cheesy about it.
This is what I was talking about 24th Letter. It's not my game it's what's happening and I was shocked when you said you haven't really noticed. Not pointing you out 24th it's all good bro!!
My season starts tomorrow with Kobe!!!! and the Lakers!!!

It was pretty funny, because I was leaving the wing open, and started doubling Aldridge. The CPU wised up, and brought Lillard over to feed the post from the wing, and they had a crazy stellar 2 man game going.
The CPU AI, although it needs some tweaks here and there, is probably my favorite in any game period. I'm seeing it do so many things that caught me off guard, kind of like the situation above. To recognize that I'm able to double it's player down low because I wasn't afraid of the wing scoring, and making me play the wing more honest, they bring out an assassin.
I think that was the biggest game that I've ever given up, 54 pts. I was playing the, "Get yours" game, and I was shutting everyone else down. Well, that didn't work.

The game is a lot slower than 2k but you will get use to it. IMO, its closer to real life than any other hoop game, but could be a tad faster.
Here's my question, is it worth the money on next gen or is 2k, or should I stick to NBA 2k on ps3

No offense taken...we all view things differently...
All I know is as of this morning I can take my SG clear across court for a possession and the opposing SG won't get the ball..
I'm playing Detroit at Brooklyn right now, and absolutely having a ball. I love the Barclays' Center in this game. The floor and colors are really well done in my opinion. Having a blast going at KG with Drummond and Monroe. Jennings is trying to break D-Will, D-Will coming right back at me. Just a lot of fun
Also, really like the ESPN camera in BKN too. It's a little further away than I'm used to, but everything seems really fluid on this setting.

Just had the best game that I've played of Live 14 yet. Stats may not have indicated a perfect game, but the feel of it was perfect.
Pistons (me) vs Nets at BKN. Game went back and forth all game long. Jennings was outstanding for me. This is my first time playing as the Pistons period, so it was a good change of pace. I was going to Monroe and Drummond early on. Stuckey was sucky. Smith was Non-existent. So it was basically Monroe, Drummond and Jennings.
D-Will got to the rim a few times early, and then got free for the mid range jumper, step back j's, you name it.
Late in the 4th quarter I was down 8, cut it to 3.. Then D-Will decided to remove my glimmer of hope. He hit a long range 3 when I went to double down on Lopez. Next possession, Jennings fouls out. I ended up losing 108-99. Here are the stats:
Tough Tough Loss.
I can't reiterate enough though, this was the most fluid game that I've played. Everything just felt right control wise, and I'd say 95% of the animations were good.
Free Throws? I shot 18, then shot 20. Only 8 blocks per team. PiP, mine were low. Theirs was 68 out of the 108. A little high, but it'd didn't feel it.
An absolute blast.
