NBA 2K14 News Post

As if you couldn't imagine NBA 2K14 adding anything else cool, today 2K Sports released a trailer that reveals they have 600 real player and coach interviews which will be used in the game.

The feature, called 2K Real Voices, will feature real halftime and post-game interviews. Most likely a few players per team are represented with multiple possible interviews per player, it's a cool feature for sure that'll help the immersion factor within the game.

Sounds crazy cool, what do you all think?

If they are pulling audio what is stopping them from pulling audio from college or summer league?

Well they would need permission for college...and I doubt they could gather enough data from summer league

What's amazing about that trailer is not only the obvious, but the whatvyounsee in the background . Check out the 3d crowds. They just don't sit there , ther cross there legs and the have individual movement. Even the players walking off the court. They actually go " into " the locker room. Not through the walls or morphing is seen .

Some players are a little slim on the interview side . But I don't notice it in the in game footage.

Beluba from 2k sports said that D. Rose was made a little more muscular via a patch on release date, so maybe it will apply to some other guys. Not a big deal, considering how well the player models look already.

THIS is a reason alone to spend $400 for a system plus $60 for a game. Sold. Game. Set. Match.

Said this in another thread, but I'm guessing/hoping they can add interview dialogue through patches like they do new content and commentary on current gen.

I don't see why they couldn't. Sounds like they ripped them straight from games, which is great, because they can just chop and edit them.

I'm anxious to see what other surprises there are, if any...

Here's hoping T-mac is in this game some how

This one is off.... Tom needs about 40 more pounds added to him.

The rest are fantastic

If i've learned something from sports games throughout the years this is the type of feature where I see myself pressing skip by the next week. Unless they somehow have gathered every interview players have done because I don't see this being a very great feature If I start hearing repeats like the commentary. I also hope they don't use that KG interview clip because that was a great interview he had after game 5 beating the Heat in the conference finals I wouldn't be able to take it serious if they kept it. Hopefully they can just patch in new interviews but wishful thinking

Of course you'll hear repeats. Maybe not after a week, but eventually you will - even if they update it, you'll sooner or later hear the same. But there's no other way - until there is technology to sample a human voice and then let some sophisticated brain computer put together endless combinations of sentences - using that voice.

Don't expect non-repeats...probably for another decade...or two...

Cool feature, hope it doesn't get repetitive.

What I do notice is that everyone has the same stance. Players got the arms in their sides and coaches got the arms/hands behind their back. Kinda silly.

is it just me or do some of the taller players arms look too skinny?

My biggest question would be how relavent to the game your playing is it. I think thats the most important.

2K always seem to find ways of taking this game to another level.

This is very impressive!!!

I just hope they didn't edit LaMarcus Aldridge down to a 'clean' take.

Not making fun of the guy, but I, y'know, want the, y'know, authentic, y'know, LA interview experience, y'know?

If there are multiple clips of Andre Miller, I might have to bring him back to Portland too. "Some icing, jacuzzis, and rest" will have him ready to replicate his 52 point game from 2010.

Some people are complaining about the superman pose. I'm watching the LSU vs Bama, Nick Saban does a pregame interview doing what, the superman pose. He does it again at halftime. Just saying.

# 278 LakersForLife @ 11/09/13 10:46 PM
Anyone else watch this more than 5 times?

Live completely started over with next gen somewhat like 2k said they did.. Based on everything said and seen nba live will be a solid game and nba 2k will be similar to current gen with better foot planting and player interviews not that's a bad thing

So LA is a "you know" guy? Didnt know that. I hate listening to those guys in interviews. You know, you know, you know.
