NBA 2K14 News Post

As if you couldn't imagine NBA 2K14 adding anything else cool, today 2K Sports released a trailer that reveals they have 600 real player and coach interviews which will be used in the game.

The feature, called 2K Real Voices, will feature real halftime and post-game interviews. Most likely a few players per team are represented with multiple possible interviews per player, it's a cool feature for sure that'll help the immersion factor within the game.

Sounds crazy cool, what do you all think?

I'd be willing to pay for this as DLC in a heartbeat. Or even pay for a season pass where they regularly update every week or two. Really adds to the immersion.

So does leagues and Euroleague guys get this too? Would be cool to see Wilt, MJ Bill, or Llull say something. And would this include just superstars or everyone? Like what if I have an amazing game with Kwame Brown, will 2K interview Kwame or what?

2K will really impress people if they had a variety of generic voices for Rookies

The most popular player on the Celtics is Gerald Wallace? What?

Jeff Green, Avery Bradley and Victor F-Whatever are ALL more popular than Gerald freakin Wallace at this point in his career.

What are they supposed to do? Pull audio from real NBA players and put them on rookies you draft in MyGM? Okay, buddy.

Random Thought:

There are around 440-450 players on rosters in the NBA.
There are 30 Head Coaches.
There are over 600 interviews.
Most likely scrubs won't have interviews so I calculated how many players TV would or have actually interviewed and the most likely is around 2 per team(not counting the rare star laden teams) plus head coach(subtract coaches that didn't coach before)-
Three per: MIA,NY,LAL,OKC,IND,LAC,CHI,MEM,BKN,DET,SA,GS,NO- so 4x13=52-3=49
Two per: ATL,PHI,CHA,CLE,BOS,HOU,UTH,SAC,POR,WAS,MIN,ORL,DA L,PHX,DEN,TOR,MIL- so 3x17=51-7=44

So 49+44= 93
Then there are 2 interviews per game(hope not all the time but we'll see)
Lets say there are 651 total interviews:
That would be 7 different interviews for all 93 characters

(mind you these are just a rough overall estimation, as I'm sure it won't be 93 different characters)

It's a decent size in its first iteration and hopefully it'll be added to like crazy as it progresses

2K is just amazing. They are killing it this year. They really really need to get the NFL license. When does it expire? A lot of money to be made there.

That wasn't the point, the point I was making was how many players possibly have interviews and how many interviews they'll have before it repeats...smh

I don't think 2k believes in making people fat...Andre the Giant is super trim on WWE 2k

I know this has been said but I wonder if Rookies have audio. And Anthony Bennett needs a chunky model.
