2K Sports has released the first next-gen gameplay trailer of NBA 2K14, weighing in at 1:33 of goodness -- set to "In the Air Tonight" by Phil Collins.

The Live snippet wasnt bad though. The other trailer that EA made for Live that had Kyrie driving to the hoop was pretty good imho. It was in-game footage to. 2k may be prettier but that dont make Live trash. 2k10 had way way more animations but I still played Live more because it was a better basketball game at its core.

Care to enlighten me on how they would go about toning down physics and collision detection? What would be your solution to two or more objects colliding together?

If Kobe passes the ball to Gasol down in the paint, and defensive Garnet sticks his hand out and makes contact with the ball before Gasol receives the pass, and ends up being deflected to Rondo, how would you tone this tipped pass? What is the solution?

If we are moving to a physics based system, real world physics needs to apply to all facets, there can't be selective physics involved.

so true. I remembered when when Live was the king and anything that 2k did was whack. The bandwagon is fully gassed up for 2k. I get it. Im glad there is 2 Nba games. Wish it was the same for football

First, I watched it 3 or 4 times. Then, I watched it only looking at their faces. Then, I watched it again only looking at the jerseys. Then, again only looking at the crowd.

Im a 2k fan through and through. BUT I WANT TO KNOW WHAT IM FREAKING BUYING.

Just imagine in a couple years once the developers know how to get even more out of the next gen systems everyone will look back at this trailer like it's a cave painting.

It was 70 degrees today in NJ so I went to play golf.

After seeing this trailer I almost wish I stayed home with a bottle of Jergens lotion.

It's not CGI. I mean I could see how you'd think so with it looking so freaking amazing. But it's still live gameplay. Why can't people understand this?

Is it because it looked so real people just can't believe it?

No its not a gameplay trailer, its a CGI / cut scene trailer. You dont need to have a full quarter of a game for it to be gameplay. You can still have a 2 minute trailer with actual gameplay footage.

Its not real gameplay, its just the cut scenes/ replays which are not real gameplay.

Let it go when has 2k ever released a trailer that wasn't game play?
When sites get to get their previews in then we I'll see the camera in its regular position, and still see fantastic graphics.

And when the hell does NBA 2k ever have cutscenes? Nothing has ever been A cutsene in since NBA 2k for ps2. Everything runs in gameplay and when the actions stops the camera gets closer to the players. Different camera angles.

You're not very bright if you think thats live gameplay. Look at the framerate its running in. PC cant even do that yet, what you're watching are cut scenes.

Theyre are highlight reels. Lets all stop pretending theyre not.
