Well ... It didn't look bad but not next gen at all.

I don't know how you can go from the Kyrie trailer which was pretty impressive to this. How does the game looks worse over time? People are saying the Kyrie trailer was CGI. Well if thats the case, then that was blatant false advertising b/c it says actual game footage. If this is the final product Kyrie and Damian should be ashamed. Lol. Now I know why Ronnie2k said LOL right after they released this. I'm pray that EA is just trolling and will surprise us on Friday. The way Scott O'G hyped this up he made it seem like revolutionary in the podcast. Just hope and pray.

Honestly, it kinda looks like a basketball mod for Team Fortress 2.

It looks like Live 09 in terms of Nash's CF.

Live 10 had a better Nash face.

I expected that to be understood. Not that misspelled part though. Dropped the ball on that one.

Just for context, this is how guys rotate on a P&R. Regardless of the PG falling, look at the help. Look at how their feet move. Look at the recovery. Look at how they return to the weak side.

What Live showed was an abomination. I can only hope that they stop with the cutscenes and just let the game play out on Friday.

And this is why I don't feel bad at all the venom the Live crew receives. They completely shut out the gaming community during the development process and then they wonder why they get so much backlash when they do release footage.

Honestly, the first thing that came to my mind after watching this trailer was Yukes WWE debacle. The color of the railings remind me of that and so does the skin tone of the players.

I'm not saying what I think of that trailer. I will say this - those of you that were here hyping the hell out of the game with nothing to go on, need to stay consistent. I warned a couple of you that over-hyping the game was only going to lead to nothing but disappointment. This video looked OK to me. It looked no worse than I expected based on what we knew and what I saw at E3, in the trailers before it, AND from what I know of the previous versions. Taking all that into consideration - something that some people felt was unfair - I think this was on par with what should have been REASONABLE expectations.

So, now we have more information. That's all anyone can fairly expect. As for folks dissing the next gen consoles as a whole - geez, get over it. It's not the end of the world if you think the EA titles aren't "next-gen" enough (whatever that means) and Watchdogs was delayed. There are MANY other options out there. Why don't we wait until more info comes out for more of the games. I'll bet at least a couple of titles will wow you enough.

Maybe EA knows this looks bad. Maybe this is gameplay from NBA Live 13 from last year or even the first stages of NBA Live 14. Maybe this is the trailer of NBA Live 13 or 14 in early development gameplay, and the gameplay that we get on friday will be the actual NBA Live 14 next gen gameplay so we can compare the two and see the improvements. Just Saying! Can't wait for 2k's trailer too, bout to be amazing!

Really? The Kyrie dribbling demo looked a lot better from what I could see (in the corner of an interview video at E3). Maybe because that demo didn't have any interactions with defenders-- which I knew would end up being a huge issue.

Nash's mediocre looking dribbling is on par with the Kyrie demo you played with? Yikes if true.

I was screwing with 2K blacktop the other day and noticed even current gen 2K's dribbling model looks almost as good as the Kyrie demo when there's minimal defense involved and you're zoomed in.

Straight up. Did the teaser really look "fine" to you?

Not talking PnR. Not talking AI. Just overall. That looks fine?

That video was wack. Pre alpha or something. Steve Nash looked like it was PS2. Textures were flat, no detail. If that is what live looks like, then 2k wins again. I think 2k wins regardless.

# 154 eaw913 @ 10/16/13 10:15 PM
This seriously looks like a touched up PS2 game. What the heck? The movements are stiff, textures are low resolution, crowd looks like crap with 30 people doing the same movements at the same time like current gen... Arena looks decent, but nothing amazing. Ball stops spinning once it goes through the net, feet sliding on the floor like they're ghosts, hunched backs.

I could go on. This better be an old build. Holding my official feelings until Friday to judge this one but right now I'm almost annoyed. EA fails to deliver on so many fronts it is sickening.

Wonder if they cancel again if they get a ton of backlash again???

2k won already without seeing gameplay lol. They are still moving like the old live animations. But I still can't wait to play it. And why did the ball stop moving when it went through the net? That physics was way off.

LOL im actually shocked at how much negative can be pulled out from a 9 second instagram video..

here are the things i noticed though..since no one wants to state anything positive..

-Steve Nash looks good.. he looks too young but non the less it looks like him, we might be losing some facial quality due to it being an instagram video (POOR QUALITY)

-The spacing of the court doesnt look half bad, especially in that comparison image posted a couple of pages ago.

-The ball/rim/net interaction looks improved.. anything is an improvement over what used to be.

- Everybody complained about the crowd and refs not looking in the right direction in the John Wall shot yesterday but no one noticed that they actually do pay attention in this video.

-The clip is obviously slowed down!!! damn! the only part of that clip moving at full speed is the second portion right when he begins to use the screen.

-Jersey's look good, snug and fit, doesnt seem to be moving too erratically which is good because the cover trailer had me worried.

-Player models look good.. i'd like to see them in other camera angles..

-Ball also looks good.

NEGATIVES (BECAUSE IM NOT BLIND)

-WTF was Damian Lillard doing after he got screened.. he made 0 attempt to recover on that play SMH

-Player models: HUNCH BACK!!! why?!? the offensive and defensive players all seem to be in this robotic hunch back stance. That needs to get fixed.

-Pick and Roll Defense was atrocious!

-Why pick this clip as a teaser, it shows off nothing special, at least show me damian giving a much slower steve nash a hard time.

--------------------------------

All in all i think when we do see full gameplay footage we can really dissect the game playing at 100% speed instead of edited crap..

Many people are just used to that NBA 2k look that anything else seems like absolute trash.. but hey this look reminds me of Live 10, it has a Ryan Santos look to it, so i am not surprised, I like it.. Different doesn't mean worse..

Friday will tell us everything we need to know

Because that's actually been the case for 3 years straight and looks like it still will be the case this year. Just looking at Lilliard defensive reaction to that screen, jogging like a zombie behind 40 years old jogging Steve nash. That's it, game over. I think they will end up canceling the game once again. It's just too far behind at this point.

One more thing, I read someone talking about there being too much sliding going on in the clip.. REALLY?!?!?!?!
