As a life long gamer that's just dumb. I'm not one of those people who try's to screw over other people. I remember when the PS3 came out a friend of the family who happened upon and extra one wouldn't even sell it to me for retail... What an a$$. I ain't that way and if I would sell it it would be for retail plus s/h fees.

Money is hard to come by. Get it anyway you can these corporations are
How many times has this ever happened in the gaming industry?
I think they're telling their fans, here is where we're at, don't expect too much on friday.
My point of all this is im not going base anything off this 10 sec clip just like im not going to base anything off the last 10 sec clip from a month ago. But if you want to compare the two clips they are way off. When it comes to EA they don't get any benefit of the doubt when it comes to edit trailers I need to see actual gameplay to judge. EA sports focus heavily on marketing and messing with people intelligence so I think it's very much possible for them to release a half a** tease then release something decent right after to make it look better. Let's not compare EA to other gaming companies because they have a bad stigma.

Then they should seriously start to focus more on their games and less on their marketing strategy because if their final product looks like crap all the marketing strategy, photoshopped screenshots and CGI trailers in the world won't help them.
Its been reported that BF4 looks like crap on the ps4, madden has been shown, looks like crap on the ps4, nba live has been shown, looks like crap[according to the majority] What ea title do fans have to be excited about? they sided with xbox so this is even more of loss[not because of xbox itself, but the negative PR xb1 is getting, ea jumped on the sinking ship and its not attempting to right it at all.
this is a list of launch titles or launch week. Peter moore forgets live 14. What does that say about ea?
Lol he didn't mention live as the article is about buying games on current gen and transitioning over to the next gen version which well...Live doesn't have a current gen version
My views on this is there were a few positives and negatives. I'm probably not feeling as dramatic as most as i probably don't care as much, which may be due to the fact I wasn't expecting nothing sensational from them.
It's like people claim they know EA and their habits, but still run into these threads with all the hype and ott reactions.
If this game is at least a bit fun, I may purchase it after a few price drops. *shrug*
I used to play Live as a kid and I never had malice towards it when I bought NBA 2k in 99 and never looked back. But their efforts have been laughable for over a decade.
I wouldnt be surprised if Live was pushed back and then cancelled again. Hopefully for good bc this clip is an insult to basketball.
If the final product looks anything like that, EA SHOULD CANCEL. If they don't cancel, both Sony and MS should not allow this game on their consoles, it could hurt sales of a new system.
Well we have finally seen some gameplay..... and I think its safe to say the general consensus is not good.....
Now the softie in me feels like "poor EA, they finally gave us a taste of what we've been asking for so long and they are getting shot down worse than a nerd on prom night...."
And then the other part of me is baffled...... I feel like this vid has gone backwards from the Kyrie vs the Knicks trailer..... although that had very little in it..... which build is more current? This part of me is the optimistic, hopeful part.....
Now I need to mention, I am a BASKETBALL fan.....(not EA or not 2K). I have been buying 2K because I think their game is great (and to date, is the only option to buy)...... but I want two great basketball games to play..... heck, I want 5.... haha.....
The thing that gets me is that EA held out for SOOOOO long to show us anything and then I think (from the little I know about marketing) that they picked perhaps the WORST possible time to drop this 9 second atomic bomb...... on the eve of 2Ks trailer.......
I think they perhaps could have done it a week prior..... or even days after (when the 2K threads start the nit picking and criticism....)..... now all that's gonna be read everywhere is "well then, back to reality" type comments.......
Again, I wish EA all the best. I want success..... BEST CASE scenario (also most unlikely) EA continues this vid on Friday (US time) but it slides over the a more current build that is the ultimate pleasant surprise.....
It HAS to be an old build (and I say this with hope) because of how bare the scorers table and team benches are..... but the question remains, is the more current build much more rounded? Or is it just a filled out scorers table/team bench......
The more likely scenario - EA just didn't have enough time to add in enough animations..... this is why the game took so long to show. And it seems to be the general issue on this thread - player movement.....they have the foundation, it took 2K YEARS to keep adding nice, small, in between animations.....EA has only just started again. Time is what they need seemingly.....but they have to keep at it.
Lets all cling to the small ray of hope that remains and wait til Friday.....
And until then, maybe enjoy whats about to drop in 90 mins.....
He stayed on Gasol. Lillard's reaction is an issue, but I don't see anything wrong with Aldridge staying on the screener. Lopez rotated over to prevent the layup. Defensively, the play wasn't as bad as everyone is making it out to be. If Lillard would have moved realistically, there really wouldn't be anything troubling from a defensive standpoint. I'll take that play all day over this:
They're trapping on D Wade. That's just a dumb strategy.
I can't recall me saying Nba 2K's AI was perfect. It's far from that actually.
I don't even know why you're bringing Nba 2K footage into this. There are thousands of threads in the Nba 2K forums about how bad the AI/rosters/sliders is/are there.
Although I don't mind what happens in that gameplay. The AI uses the wrong strategy and what happens is what would happen IRL. Perkins is too slow to catch D Wade, D wade gets by them and passes to a wide open bosh for the dunk.
Nothing wrong here except that the AI used the wrong strategy at this moment.
I get your point I guess though. I guess it's debatable that LA could stay on Gasol but this close to the rim and the Steve Nash's lane to the rim I'am sure he takes step to put his body between Nash and the rim.
But yeah definately not what's worse about that short Live video.
It is like they had to keep some parts of Elite or Live 13 but that crouching stance should have been re-done. They need to motion capture again ASAP. Make it user controlled as it is an eye sore to me.
What the hell was Lilliard doing and this is something they released as a teaser? Wow I hope that was all user controlled.
Steve Nash doesn't look next gen to me. He looks cartoony hope that is not the case for everyone not fully scanned.
I thought the player models looked awful. One thing I don't understand is why people are making fun of Nash's face when 2K's Nash has always looked like an emancipated woman. Although this is next gen, you're still going to have some odd looking faces. But look at guys like Lillard, Wall, Irving, and all those other guards. They look great.
