After waiting 11 hours for the game to download yesterday finally was able to play a full game earlier. I played as Miami(FL) against Bowling Green neutral site at Soldier Field. Played on AA default with 8 min quarters and 10 speed threshold. A couple of quick things that I noticed is the passing completions by the user and computer where extremely high. I went 17-17 for over 317 yards and the computer was 36-47 for 369 yards no Int's where thrown by both teams. I will say though that only a couple of the passes that where completed by the computer made me say hmmm. Other than that the majority of the passes completed where in the 5-12 yard range. The same was for me I went with high percentage passes and only pushed the ball deep once.

Another thing was the running game was a little tougher when I ran with a normal camera, but once I went to coordinator camera, I had 4 20+ yard runs with Duke Johnson. The one thing I liked about the coordinator camera is you saw the blocks being made and had to stay really patient. Going to tinker with the cameras for a bit to find the one I like best.

I really like the game so far, did not notice any glitches or bugs. Going try some different sliders to try to lower the passing completion percentages for the user and computer.

I thought that if your pass expires after you downloaded the game that you could still play it?? Mine expired yesterday but I was able to download it and play...and now today it says must be active season ticket member when I start it

After waiting for EA to allow Canadians to play the game, I keep getting dirty disc errors. I cannot even play the first quarter of a game. I just deleted the game and am currently downloading it again. 24.5 hours after the game becoming available on EA Season Ticket, I've played 20 minutes of the game. This has been the worst experience I've had with EA Season Ticket. Trying to stay positive, but it's a little frustrating.

It doesn't register for the CPU which is really weird.

PS3: Retail(disc)

This game is soo buggy its unbelievable.
-No huddle lag hasn't been fixed
-Interception bug where the game reverses the field is still there
-The game runs really choppy
-Graphics look worst than demo
-Defensive players standing there while qb runs right by them
-The cpu isn't actually smarter this year, they just dumb down your players and increased the run blocking so that the cpu can run the ball.

It actually plays worst than demo, those with the digital version may have a different experience, but this is the disc retail version and it plays sucky.

No. You only are entitled to the 5 games only which trumps the date your ticket expires. If yours expired yesterday that means you got NCAA 13 early which means yes you need to get the Season Ticket again to play NCAA 14 early from yesterday on.
Mine ended today so tomorrow IF I want to keep playing the early edition I will have to re-up my season ticket.

South Carolina = sack masters of the universe with a 4 man or 3 man rush. So far they are the only team I came across that is like that. EA needs to up the impact in their impact engine IMO. I am seeing way too many driven stiff arms that eventually turns into the defender hulking up and slamming the ball carrier backwards. It would be nice if they mixed it up a little and have the ball carrier win the stiff arm battle and knock the defender down.

Putting the RBA slider at 100 helps with the ball carriers falling down easily "a little" but the CPU ball carriers still fall down way too easy for my liking. CPU needs to use the stumble recovery feature. As of now if the CPU stumbles, it is 100% chance they going to the ground. I have yet to see the CPU ball carrier back juke either.

I do wish EA get rid of that force field they have around the CPU punter. Human controlled team never ever gets passed the line when the CPU punts. Everybody on your team just gets stone walled like they ran into an invisible wall. Shouldn't be like that at all. Brain dead AI punt returners are annoying as well. Have all that space to the left and right of them, what they do ? Run straight up the middle directly into the wall of defenders. Makes no sense.

Halftime show does vary, depending on what did happen in the 1st half, so that is nice. And if you actually listen to it, they do give you some advice on what you should do differently in the second half.

As of now, I wouldn't say the CPU AI running game is deadly. There are far from it. Do they run better ? Yes, but due to them falling down with the slightest touch, them not using back juke, not using the entire field when running or the stumble recovery, they aren't deadly. I haven't seen the CPU ball carriers use any of the combo moves EA constantly showing before games either.

Don't know what it is, but IMO they ran better in the demo then they do in the retail version of the game.

So my advice to EA:

1. Put back the running AI that you had in the demo back into the game and increase it by 20%.

2. Make CPU ball carriers use stumble recovery and back jukes & all the combo jukes that are available to human players.

3. Do something with special teams. It is by far the worse part of the game. Just stale and predictable of knowing nothing exciting ever is going to happen on special teams. No punts or FGs get blocked. No punts or kick offs are ever ran back for a TD or just beyond 10 yards really. Special teams = ball carrier going down on 1st contact with a defender.

So I see the snap the ball while the Wr is in motion cheese is still in the game. Just played a guy online who ran the same play over and over again and it was uncheckable. I ran man coverage, cover 2, cover 3, cover 4, and even drop my DE back and still was getting smoke. Defense is getting no love in this game at all. I might pass on all current gen football this year. As soon as EA take two step forward they get push right back with same old glitches and cheese plays.

I have played 5 games 4 of them with South Alabama and had a kick almost taken back each time. if the returner was a little faster it would have been. And not just by me. CPU did it as well. I played one game as ASU and returned the opening kick 100 yards for a TD.

To be fair in real life you can snap the ball while player is moving. If EA removes that then they get slammed for removing realism to fight cheese. Leave it and they aren't doing anything to fight the cheese.

Simply play people you know. Playing in leagues or just with people I know is the answer for me.

I dont play the computer and no leagues will get started tell names is out. Only 2 people I know have the game so your options is not good right now. This problem has been in EA for years and still haven't gotten fix. There's a bunch of other stuff to like stacking Linebackers behind each other. This is a impression thread so im sharing my thoughts about the game from a online gameplay prospective.

My whole point to things if they going to allow such of a thing offer a counter to it.

That's cool. I never said anything about you sharing your thoughts/impressions.
I was simply saying IMO EA can't fix cheesers/cheesing to the level we all want without neutering the game.

Hopefully next gen and we get a better system/AI that can combat it more. However in the end it's still AI programming and there will ALWAYS be ways to manipulate it, period. And that will always lead to those that get off by winning by manipulating it.

I find to varying opinions intriguing

We have so,e saying its the best EVER, and others not even buying after trying

I am working on a set of heavily CPU favored AA sliders and am in week one of a practice dynasty now

I really like the new menus and interface. Dynasty looks like it will be fun again

i just lost my first recruit of the season that i really wanted. A 75 OVR FS. Playing as South Alabama would have been awesome to get him.

# 236 Skyboxer @ 07/06/13 04:33 PM
Well I am almost set and ready to get a dynasty started after rosters come out.
Like Madden I don't play the slider game (Too many people already with that sickness/need that tweak the whole year).

Confident enough with how I have it playing that I'll be set come roster time.
Just lost a coach only game to TCU but was a lot of fun.

For what it's worth I played default Heisman last year and had really good results. I'm hoping the same will be true this year.

Coaches progress way to fast on normal. Already level 7 in week 15. Will probably use the lowest setting.

Understood..... I do think this is the best NCAA game on current gem but that's not saying to much looking at the past

I've played a ton of games already and I'm having fun with it. I started off on Heisman Offense/Heisman Defense for a few games, but I started to dislike that setting on defense. It was too difficult to generate any pressure on the QB, and the CPU would get truck-sized lanes to run through consistently. It seems like no matter what team I played, they were able to consistently move the ball no matter what I did, and I felt like I had to play damn near flawless to win. For that reason, I dropped back down to Heisman Offense/All-American Defense.

These are the scores for the last 5 games with these settings on 8 minute quarters:

Southern Miss 24 (cpu) @ East Carolina 59 (me) - I was a little concerned after blowing out the team so badly, but Southern Miss is a less talented team. The next few games were much more competitive

Army 28 (cpu) @ Air Force 31 (me)

North Carolina 20 (me) @ Virginia Tech 12 (cpu) - North Carolina's 4-2-5 is sweet. I was able to shut down VT's offense with it all game, I'll definitely be using them again.

California 45 (me) @ UCLA 41 (cpu)

Georgia 43 (me) @ Florida State 45 (cpu) (5OT)

I think any slider tweaks I make from this point will be done from this setting. Not a perfect game, but I'm really enjoying it.
