Drop it down to 5, though you also have to adjust Pass Coverage if you adjust QB Accuracy.

I'm playing on All American. I have the CPU QBA set at 30. Just played a game Washington Huskies - me , Alabama - CPU. Bama' Qb was quite accurate. I lost in O.T. 20-17

There are marginal changes, but they are no game changers. Too damn generic. The Infinity engine is a sloppy mess. It's just 1 on 1 tackling with defenders running into ball carrier like mindless robots. The assisted tackles don't record no more. It's just sloppy looking football.

13 was a lot smoother. I can't see this game or Madden in my PS3 trey all year over games like NBA 2K or The Show. Another wasted year. Hopefully they learn their lesson this gen and won't waste 7 more years of mediocre gameplay.
agreed. once the "newness" of the engine wears off its essentially the same game we have been playing for yrs. already bored

What I don't understand is how EA keeps getting away with few changes each year and still remain in business with the two football franchises?

I've been skipping purchasing years with all of their sports games except Fifa and yet they are still putting out the same game with slight tweaks.

After 10 games played in dynasty mode I will not be buying 14 and sticking with 13. Recruiting is horrible, they took away all the choices and it feels bland now. Coaching experiance skill tree is pointless. Animations are down right bizzare at times. I guess to me I like 13 better, feels better and dynasty is alot better because of recruiting. Only thing I could see saving this game is ultimate team which I love in NHL. ohwell hopefully next year it will be improved but I still enjoy 13 so all is good.

3 games in online, no lag, just the occasional hiccup. I am on wireless, probably will go direct when leagues start to keep it silky smooth.

Also, as a Tennessee Vols fan, I cannot be happier on how the orange pops this year. Previous years, it was so dull, this year, along with all the other colors, it stands out.

Positives:

The fields and colors pop. I am on PS3 and the game just looks amazing. They fixed the night lighting issue on the PS3. The crowd looks so much better, Neyland stadium is a sea of orange, as it should be.

Field vision for the CPU ball carriers has vastly improved. Running backs look for the holes in the defense and attack appropriately.

How about that line play fellas! I am seeing defensive linemen drive blockers into the backfield. Gone are the disgusting block sheds that plagued the game in past years... Hell yes!

Loving the physics engine! Loving it! This physics engine is no comparison to Madden. Players have weight. I am seeing some great results with tweaking sliders. Lots of potential here!

Stadium sounds sound awesome in game. I don't know what EA did. But they sound so life like. I love the implemented Zombie Nation and Seven Army

The option is back with a vengeance.

Uniform degradation is in the game, and man does it ever look good.

So many more positive things to say, but now to the negatives.

Grey face masks for PS3 users. Really EA? Last year lighting, this year grey face masks?

Pass coverage may be an issue again this year. The good news is the sliders seem to work, so I may be able to iron out the issues there.

Sacks for teams with running QBs. This may be worked out by sliders, but this a big concern for me right now.

Also, there is a glitch that sometimes takes place after big plays. The camera follows the player to the sidelines or huddle and won't release back to game play.

There may be more to come, but this a pretty impressive game so far!
Pretty much what my opinion is. I'm trying not let all the negative Nancy's stop me from enjoying the game.

This is by far the best Ncaa game I've played hands down

How good is you're Internet though? My first game was kinda laggy but I only pull around 5Mb at best for my Internet.

I'm sure they can go and look up each coach (highly doubt they will have the time for 378 coaches) and correct their records and contracts.

But the coaching level is subjective. Sure you can bump up Urban Meyer to a max level, but what about mid tier coaches that have success? What about up and coming programs and coaches or those likely on the hot seat this year?

It's most likely something the users will take control over, but just seems odd that certain schools and coaches were given ridiculously high levels.

Maybe I played the demo too much, because the retail isn't really doing anything for me. Game just feels stale. I like the running and the blocking, but some of the ai oddities, animations glitches, bad goofy animations, lack of variety in animations, awful presentation, it's just stale to me. The halftime show addition is kinda cool, but the replay angles just kill it for me. I'm going to play it some more, but I'm really rethinking my purchase decision now.

I like alot about this game but one thing is pissing me off and starting to be a game killer. I mainly play online and the games has been ok not a lot of cheese. This game is mainly offense very over powering but it's like that in real college football. But if I call the right play on defense I feel I should be rewarded. I have played 5 games online and each game I have drop at least 8 int. Always after a drop pick my secondary gives up a big play. It's starting to get real irritating.

They have to increase the success ratio just a little but not to much to help us defensive guys out.

Theres no assisted tackles in the defensive stats everything is counted as a solo tackle thats a joke does anybody know if its fixed in the retail version if not can it be fixed?

Well....after playing the demo nonstop and playing about 12 hours of the early release I'll give some thoughts...

Cutting to the chase....it's the best NCAA ever and its not even close, at least gameplay wise. Even on default AA, the CPU AI is smart, saavy, and mixes up their playcalling. CPU runners are dangerous in the open field and QBs make very good decisions. I think I've seen one "WTF" moment in 12 hours where the CPU may have made a horrible decision. Very impressed.

The running game is a dream and most importantly...every play "works". Quick screens to the WRs work. PA screens work. Counters work. Toss sweeps work. If you call them in the right situations....they all can be successful. That truly opens up your entire playbook..something that couldn't be said in just about every previous iteration of the series.

Now...as for some things that need addressing..there are a few in my opinion. The ones that stand out are....

1. QB accuracy and accuracy slider. The slider isn't necessarily "broken". It's just highly ineffective. As Bob stated in the official review...true overthrows and underthrows by a QB are few and far between. Most incompletions are either interceptions, deflections...or throwing the ball away under pressure.

The slider doesn't appear to address this in an even manner. Slider settings at 0 cause the QBs to not be able to hit much of anything. The problem is...anything above 0....5 to 50....there is no effect it seems. QBs seem to play exactly the same no matter if the setting is at 5, 15, 20, 35, etc. The only true change is at 0 and that is too much IMO. This needs to be fixed.

Again..it's not a "game killer" as most QBs end up with good looking percentages off of tips/INTs/throwaways..but the number of misfires needs to vastly increase IMO.

2. Punts ALWAYS bounce forward. Always. I have yet to see a punt bounce sideways or "die" immediately.

3. The CPU tends to always "go for it" on 4th and inches to 4th and 3 in the redzone. This needs to be tuned. If the game is 10-7, there needs to be times where the CPU ties the game on a field goal instead of going for it. I like the aggression at times..but its not realistic to see an opponent ALWAYS go for it.

Those are the biggest things that stand out to me. Other than those areas...I am wowed by how well this game plays. In every facet. The options, shovel passes, screen game, etc......all play beautifully. Can't wait to start our OD.

*I need to just compile all my impressions...lol*

Anyways, playing UT vs UF. Scored with Tennessee to go up 7-0 and the announcers were going crazy, not just touchdown Tennessee. Awesome to see excitement from them.

Someone what to tell me why in God's name Gary Pinkel is tied with likes of Saban and Spurrier in Coach Rating?

# 218 Skulletor @ 07/06/13 01:56 PM
one thing that really tells you about how lazy EA is or how unstable their code is, the conferences are normally in alphabetical order, but because the Big East became the American conference, now they are not

Take back what I said about CPU screens = Auto sacks.
CPU has ran them flawlessly in the past few games, including TCU I'm playing right now.

Should have waited a bit before making a big claim like that. Assuming some setting changes did it...

Being a coach mode type player I'm very happy about it

Played one game on AA defense and offense. Me(Nebraska) vs cpu(UCLA) I beat them 35-7 had 9 sacks 5 with my LE. Think I gotta up the difficulty. The thing I like most is players seem to have some weight to them when moving now.
