South Carolina = sack masters of the universe with a 4 man or 3 man rush. So far they are the only team I came across that is like that. EA needs to up the impact in their impact engine IMO. I am seeing way too many driven stiff arms that eventually turns into the defender hulking up and slamming the ball carrier backwards. It would be nice if they mixed it up a little and have the ball carrier win the stiff arm battle and knock the defender down.

Putting the RBA slider at 100 helps with the ball carriers falling down easily "a little" but the CPU ball carriers still fall down way too easy for my liking. CPU needs to use the stumble recovery feature. As of now if the CPU stumbles, it is 100% chance they going to the ground. I have yet to see the CPU ball carrier back juke either.

I do wish EA get rid of that force field they have around the CPU punter. Human controlled team never ever gets passed the line when the CPU punts. Everybody on your team just gets stone walled like they ran into an invisible wall. Shouldn't be like that at all. Brain dead AI punt returners are annoying as well. Have all that space to the left and right of them, what they do ? Run straight up the middle directly into the wall of defenders. Makes no sense.

Halftime show does vary, depending on what did happen in the 1st half, so that is nice. And if you actually listen to it, they do give you some advice on what you should do differently in the second half.

As of now, I wouldn't say the CPU AI running game is deadly. There are far from it. Do they run better ? Yes, but due to them falling down with the slightest touch, them not using back juke, not using the entire field when running or the stumble recovery, they aren't deadly. I haven't seen the CPU ball carriers use any of the combo moves EA constantly showing before games either.

Don't know what it is, but IMO they ran better in the demo then they do in the retail version of the game.

So my advice to EA:

1. Put back the running AI that you had in the demo back into the game and increase it by 20%.

2. Make CPU ball carriers use stumble recovery and back jukes & all the combo jukes that are available to human players.

3. Do something with special teams. It is by far the worse part of the game. Just stale and predictable of knowing nothing exciting ever is going to happen on special teams. No punts or FGs get blocked. No punts or kick offs are ever ran back for a TD or just beyond 10 yards really. Special teams = ball carrier going down on 1st contact with a defender.

So I see the snap the ball while the Wr is in motion cheese is still in the game. Just played a guy online who ran the same play over and over again and it was uncheckable. I ran man coverage, cover 2, cover 3, cover 4, and even drop my DE back and still was getting smoke. Defense is getting no love in this game at all. I might pass on all current gen football this year. As soon as EA take two step forward they get push right back with same old glitches and cheese plays.

I have played 5 games 4 of them with South Alabama and had a kick almost taken back each time. if the returner was a little faster it would have been. And not just by me. CPU did it as well. I played one game as ASU and returned the opening kick 100 yards for a TD.

To be fair in real life you can snap the ball while player is moving. If EA removes that then they get slammed for removing realism to fight cheese. Leave it and they aren't doing anything to fight the cheese.

Simply play people you know. Playing in leagues or just with people I know is the answer for me.

I dont play the computer and no leagues will get started tell names is out. Only 2 people I know have the game so your options is not good right now. This problem has been in EA for years and still haven't gotten fix. There's a bunch of other stuff to like stacking Linebackers behind each other. This is a impression thread so im sharing my thoughts about the game from a online gameplay prospective.

My whole point to things if they going to allow such of a thing offer a counter to it.

That's cool. I never said anything about you sharing your thoughts/impressions.
I was simply saying IMO EA can't fix cheesers/cheesing to the level we all want without neutering the game.

Hopefully next gen and we get a better system/AI that can combat it more. However in the end it's still AI programming and there will ALWAYS be ways to manipulate it, period. And that will always lead to those that get off by winning by manipulating it.

Re: NCAA Football 14 Available For Season Ticket Subscribers, Post Your Impressions H

this is the best NCAA ever and its not even close.

Even on default AA, the CPU AI is smart, saavy, and mixes up their playcalling. CPU runners are dangerous in the open field and QBs make very good decisions. Very impressed.

The running game is a dream and most importantly...every play "works". Quick screens to the WRs work. PA screens work. Counters work. Toss sweeps work. If you call them in the right situations....they all can be successful. That truly opens up your entire playbook..something that couldn't be said in just about every previous iteration of the series.

And I'm loving the option, with the right players it's down-right deadly, it took some times getting used to the new menus and i like the love the neutral site games in dynasty mode

and after playing since 7am, i've yet to see any bugs, NCAA 14 is a Win in my book
