one nitpick from me would be the heat jerseys being grey and not black, still hope jersey colors are fixed.

This!!! I'd say the worst on the current-gen was the Toronto Raptors' home unis in which they had two different reds on their home uniforms. Team colors need to be fixed for all teams on next-gen.

Wondering if the next gen gameplay will actually be different than current gen this year, or basically just a big graphics upgrade. Have heard nothing in regards to improved gameplay/A.I./physics.

In regards to improved gameplay etc..all I want is MOAR SPACING and good defense.

We're still 5 months away from release. 5 months before early October is April-May. And usually we got no tidbits of the next game in April-May. I think this is quite an early and interesting preview season. Be patient, more info is coming.

Sony wins...Im sorry
You do realize that the price difference is that the PS4 does not come with the camera, right? So some of the added controller features are pointless without it. And that camera won't be cheap.

Camera is 60$ features of the controller work without it.

I don't care for it though

Not all of the features work without it. But I shouldn't have said "all". I corrected it. Sorry.

Btw, I'm not sure how the licensing works but would it cost much for 2k to buy the TNT license? Would they need to pay at all? Because that would be a great feature to add to the presentation.
lol, it was a dumb and dumber reference!

While this is true, we also already know that next-gen Madden is getting a new engine with (supposedly) significant gameplay and AI improvements. We have heard no such thing about NBA2K14 yet, which is why I was wondering.

With that said, what would one expect considering VC has NEVER been one to play too many games with buzzwords. Does anyone really know what this IGNiTE really is? "Human AI"? What is that? What was it before? Still "Liquid AI"? Infiniti engines and Ignite certainly sound cool and all, but so did "Real AI" and "Real Time Physics" and "Skill-based Shooting". For once, I just want to hear concrete descriptions of the enhancements instead of buzzwords. Don't get me wrong: I'm not saying we get lied to. I'm just saying that assuming some groundbreaking new feature just because the name is flashy, only get hopes up unrealistically high.

I'd just like to know if the only difference between current gen and next gen is gonna be graphics, or are there gonna be actual gameplay upgrades in next gen.

Well 2k did say that while the 2 games (current & next gen) would offer distinct experiences to show the systems unique prowess, there would be some overlap, specifically in respect of the core gameplay elements ... this "could" be read as just porting everything related to gameplay.

Having said that, the trailer revealed an improvement on graphics beyond my expectations, I rather take that as a sign of how much effort is 2k placing on that version and fervently hope that they can take advantage of what really makes the new gen consoles shine ... which is their exponentialy increased ram & processing powers, that are better suited for running multiple features related to gameplay, such as: foot plating, physics, lightning/shadowing, AI enhancers, AA, etc ...

I dont expect 2k to exceed my expectations on gameplay (I wish tho) but I do expect them to correct the flaws, improve on the goods and integrate new elements to further expand it and make it closer to what an NBA game looks like.

P.S:
I also expect 2k to finally recognize an oftenly undervalued pilar that help them excel over the competition and be what they are today (its editability/customization) and as a tribute, build upon it even more. It is not something we just want but rather something we desperately need: nothing hidden, everything editable, customizable.

Sorry for the double post. For 2k, they have a gameplay team. I'm sure they aren't just sitting around doing nothing. Rob Jones and Mike Wang don't do graphics!

It's june nobody knows anything besides Lebron is on the cover and the pre-order package. Gameplay info drops around the end of summer.

Yeah, that's the question: Will it be the current-gen (next-gen, back then) version of 2K6 or 2K7?

Which IMHO wasnt bad compared to how other games back then (competition even more) where watered down versions with just a graphical upgrade.

2k6 next gen had all the modes and features of the current gen (back then) plus improved graphics ... and if I am not mistaking it with 2k7, it also came with the inclussion of unis physics and player roles or something alike ... I was more than pleased with it ... then again, one might have argued that it could have been much more, maybe what 2k7 turned out to be ... but the same could be said for any yearly release.

Anyways, would be awesome to know (ASAP) the exact details on how 2k14 (current & new gen) differentiate.
