This video is also available on the OS Youtube channel, please subscribe while you're there.

There might be a few details that are hard to see in video form, here are 52 screenshots from the video to talk about.

And here's a quick breakdown of the features mentioned in the video:

Recruiting
  • Recruiting only done with points now, no more finding pitches
  • Bonus points are allocated per recruit when your strengths match his interests
  • Signing Day has been introduced for official commitments
Coaching Skills
  • RPG element to Coaching (Coach XP, levels and skills)
  • XP gained for on field performance, meeting milestones and even for recruiting
  • Structure of Coach Skills seem similar to NFL Head Coach 09 skill tree
  • Skills broken down into 3 categories (Recruiting, Offensive and Defensive)
  • HC controls how all skills are assigned (Can assign the skills for your OC and DC too)
  • Coordinators are only responsible for their own skills

You grow and learn things as a coach, you tweak and improve.
Get off Saban, how about the other 123 coaches? Are they all way better than 10 years ago? This system is going to make every coach get better not just the ones winning national championships. It's ridiculous and I think they need to start releasing different games, one for arcade gamers and one for sim gamers. I hate having to play around wacky arcade features to get some realism.

Meh. Not that impressed. Not a huge fan of the whole XP system. Makes it feel like less of a sports game. Glad the recruiting was changed. Kinda bummed there wasn't anything else new.

Let's just say it's a good thing I have good friends that make my online dynasty experience fun and competitive because playing this game by yourself isn't addicting or much fun at all.

I'm just ready for the PS4 to get here with the whole "watch your friends play the games they are playing", for NCAA Football 15 I can watch my friends play their online dynasty games, like a big conference championship game.

Not sure what to think about the recruiting.

On one hand they did seem to make it way faster so it feels like less of chore

On the other they seem to have dumbed it way down. Like "Here's 500 points, Goodbye"

Maybe it will be good though I look forward to it.

Oh an do the coaches give boost to your teams stats during games?

Are the only coaches who improve the ones winning championships? It sounds to me that on-field and recruiting success are what causes you to gain xp (at least in a significant amount), and that's how it should be. As for regression, if you aren't progressing, you are essentially regressing if your peers are getting better and you aren't. To me, it depends on how quickly you can level up. If it takes a long time such that you are practically required to win an NC to get to the highest level in a reasonable timeframe, I'm ok with it.

I didn't purchase NCAA 13 because of the import into Madden being taken out, was the ability to see the players overall that you're recruiting in the last years NCAA or is that new?

I think some of them do.

Some things are easily missed in video form, so we added 52 screenshots from the video.

With no regressing, that would mean all 60 year old coaches are better than young upstart coaches. Considering the power of some of these low level upgrades, its safe to assume that after 10-15 years of coaching, a coach would be lightyears ahead of a HC with no experience, which simply isn't the case in real life. Otherwise old coaches would never be fired in favor of a young guy who has never been a HC before, its just an absolutely absurd concept to me, and if I had the game I would at least want the ability to turn that feature off.

Having said that, I'm just really disappointed that they have the audacity to put 'ALL NEW DYNASTY' on the box, and then this is really the only new feature. The recruiting is the same as it ever was, just every call is a quick call now, that's false advertising.

From those screenshots it looks like there's some new coach faces. Along with new team sleeves, socks, and gloves. Little things like that make this game that much better

Also, is there confirmation that the OD limit is still 12? That'd be another deal breaker for me, I want to do an SEC OD, not a 12/14 SEC OD. Ridiculous.

Question:
We all know that in previous games with 5000 points you recruit a player...so in this year's trailer we have a total of 5000 points....that means that in every week we can get a single player for good if you wanna put all the 5000 points on him?...14 weeks...14 players...only 5 star prospects )

While I'm not blown away about this video and these extras, I'm still happy with the changes. The "hours" and other boring aspects of recruiting the past few years have gotten so tedious I've actually lowered the recruiting difficulty to Freshman so I didn't have to try so hard and put in so much time. I still want to recruit my own guys, but I don't want to spend as long recruiting as I do playing games each week. I also like the inclusion of a Signing Day. Hopefully it's what I think it is and not just a full screen graphic of the guys you signed. And lastly, the best portion of this entire video imo is the coaching skills. No longer will it feel like my coach is awful at recruiting due to arbitrary letter grades given by a poor CPU AI. "So I've won back to back National Titles and I'm still a B- in coaching prestige? Ok.... right".

You can reallocate his coach skills however you wish.
Also, I'm happy with this portion, even though many of you are not. I understand how nice it would be to hire your own coordinator, but in all honesty, who among us isn't just going to go for the coordinator that is the highest ranked guy in the areas we want? If you run a spread offense, why in the world would you go after the 10th highest ranked spread OC that you could get, instead of the top guy? I'm sure some of you guys will to groom your protege, but a majority of us won't do that. Anyway, I think it'll be fun. It's all about how you use the sticks anyway. If you're good, it won't matter if you have a level 6 OC at Alabama because you're doing all the work anyway.

I'd like to see more added, but right now I'm fine with what they've done. Not blown away, but not proclaiming from the top of a mountain to everyone that will listen that I'm going to not buy the game either.

I think the MAX is 500 points per recruit to start. But you can upgrade your coach to be able to use more.

Nice idea though.

I like the Coaching awards, adding the Broyles award gives you something to shoot for as an OC/DC

Dont think he answered your question. But since having players selected in the draft is part of the coaches XP I am guessing there is atleast a Projection of what round they will go in

I get what you're saying, but I think you're running under the assumption that the progression will be very quick. If it is, then I'm right there with you. But if it isn't, then this is fairly realistic.

In the coaching world, it isn't about how good you are...it's about how good you are in comparison to others. Some coaches will progress faster than others. And as Strategizer said, if you're not progressing as fast, you're essentially regressing.
