NCAA Football 14 Trailer - Dynasty Mode, 52 Screenshots Added

There might be a few details that are hard to see in video form, here are 52 screenshots from the video to talk about.

And here's a quick breakdown of the features mentioned in the video:

Recruiting

Recruiting only done with points now, no more finding pitches
Bonus points are allocated per recruit when your strengths match his interests
Signing Day has been introduced for official commitments

Coaching Skills

RPG element to Coaching (Coach XP, levels and skills)
XP gained for on field performance, meeting milestones and even for recruiting
Structure of Coach Skills seem similar to NFL Head Coach 09 skill tree
Skills broken down into 3 categories (Recruiting, Offensive and Defensive)
HC controls how all skills are assigned (Can assign the skills for your OC and DC too)
Coordinators are only responsible for their own skills

I like the fact that if you have a WR recruit visiting and you have a good passing game and your WRs do well the visiting recruit will be impressed and that will give you bonus points.

No, this is not true. Why? Because I don't look for perfection from EA ( or any game developers for that matter). The simple fact that a blog has been released for each and every detail that has been released BESIDES Dynasty is what makes me believe there is more. If there isn't, fine. Jokes on me. Either way, I'm fine with the improvements to recruiting. Do I want more to Dynasty? Yes. Will it "break my heart"? Absolutely not.

Ea isn't going to break our heart, cuz when it comes down to it it's just a game, it's not life or death. And if all y'all are so pissed about it, don't buy the game, simple as that. and all of us who are excited about the changes will buy and play. Remember EA isn't holding a gun to your head forcing you to buy it. Bam everyone's problems are solved.

All I'm saying is that the EA guy was in here earlier today and already said these were the two big additions, and anything else that came out would be small. So you're waiting for a ship that isn't coming.

I don't expect any more major news, but it is curious that we have neither a blog from EA, nor nearly the amount of articles we got on the previous Playbook dates. It does feel like some info is being held back for whatever reason.

It's not the improvement that will change my overall opinion on Dynasty but they should be changes that will be fun to play with for a little bit. It's def not the overhaul that fixes recruiting or coaching though.

I don't feel like going into what could have been done because it'll never matter.

Was anyone else annoyed by that sound effect that played each time you clicked a button? Jesus. Maybe it's because I listened to this on headphones but that "chink chink chink" sound was annoying the heck out of me. If that will be in the game I'll def turn off menu sound effects.

After seeing the updates to this game I'm sure I'll do exactly what I did last year. Buy used. Get my college football fix and trade in towards NBA 2k...or maybe GTA.

I can tell you were being sarcastic, but Madden 07 did this with Superstar mode. It's not out of the picture with EA.

I hope so.. The playbook was supposed to come out today and they haven't posted it yet.

Right, that, and the fact that they hyped it up as "all new" I feel like they may have just a little something else for us... again, I dont know, I dony have insider information. Just a hunch, I suppose.

Perhaps. It kind of defeats the purpose of having an official release date for info, not actually releasing all of the info for that playbook on that day, but we will see.

I actually like some of the recruiting updates (I can't really call it new recruiting). The hype surrounding the dynasty reveal this year and my own, likely inflated, expectations had me looking for more.

Here's hoping I guess.

I'm so pumped about the new recruiting. I hated the old recruiting system. It took far too long. I just want to be able to play the games.

Just to be clear, I am fine with the way they are approaching recruiting this year. I think it is a solid system that a lot of us grew fond of in NCAA on the last gen consoles. But it is more refined and logical based on your schools ratings. (I cant tell you how many times I pitched "Championship contender and signed a guy in year one of a dynasty where I didnt have a chance on last gen).

I am still interested in this game regardless of what they do or dont add tomorrow, and I believe that we are headed in the right direction with this series.

I would even be satisfied if they added the gameface feature to dynasty and rtg. Madden is doing all this cool stuff; steal that ****!

The best thing about the dynasty info release, imo, was how fluid the gameplay looked in the dynasty trailer. Lol
