Ps there's a roster update right away if anyone was curious
Anytime someone starts up the game for the first time a roster update was available to download. I believe the one it will ask to download was from Feb 25th or so

Exactly.

!2 years ago or so, we were waiting a day for a 5mb download.

Now 1 and a half hours for 12 gigs? Not bad.

Seriously, how long would it take to go out, sit in line, buy the thing, and come home? 45 minutes?

Not bad, esepecially being on the West Coast, I'm going to be playing an hour before on sale.

download officially over and installing now. a little over 2 hours to download and it's still only 11:28 pm PST. Not even the 5th yet. So I wonder if I would have gone to Gamestop if that means I would have still to wait another 1/2 hour before picking up the game.

# 445 JughedJones @ 03/05/13 02:42 AM
Wait just a second.

I d/l'd the 'main game,' installed it, and it says it's not complete.

There's another file labeled 'additional content' and it's 11 gigs too?

WHAT?

22 Gig d/l??

yeah they showed two things and since there wasn't any indication, i just downloaded all to be sure.

Took almost 40 minutes to install both parts of the game. Gonna head to bed, exhausted and play in the morning when I csn appreciate it more.

# 448 kubankaos @ 03/05/13 03:16 AM

All done here in the west. Awesome job Sony on this digital download stuff!

Whoa man.

The 'pitch stutter' is out of control bad.

Almost game breakingly so. It's happening on almost every pitch in RTTS.

This is no bueno.

Has anyone else got an error in the middle of downloading yet? It has now happened TWICE to me. Really regretting not just buying the game in store. Really surprised the download doesn't pick up where it left off from before the error when I get the error, but I am forced to start over again.

Does anyone know if it is possible to get a refund on this and go with the physical version if I am unable to get this downloaded?

Yep. Same for me. I had been downloading for two hours with no problem. I went to sleep for 3 hours. I woke up to check how it was going and I see a message that 'connection timed out'. Now I'm back to a 568 minute wait again.

First, yes. I got an error the first time. Not sure how deep into the download I was because I turned on Sportscenter and went to bed. Woke up an hour later, checked progress and I had an error. I decided to try downloading/installing each file separately. So far, so good.

Second, per their refund policy, the PSN store doesn't do refunds. However, if you are unable to download the game, call Sony and get your money back, because you are entitled to it, as you don't get the benefit of the product if it doesn't download. They wouldn't want a lawsuit, so if they were smart about it, they would comply and give you your money back.

For whatever it's worth, I seemed to have been able to download in background, exit Playstation store and go to NETWORK -> My Downloads and resume the old download again.. So you won't have to start from square one, I think anyway, not 100 per cents sure this is working now.

Yep, you should be able to resume your download. I don't think downloads just cancel outright, they just get cut off, but the data you already download is still there.

Could be wrong, but I thought was how it worked.

I don't know what Jimmy Johns Internet you guys have. I am about 55 minutes in and I'm only 12% on the main game. Good thing I have to go to work.

Well, I've just decided to stay up the rest of the night. I can't sleep I got maybe 2 to 2 and a half hours of sleep. I've been having trouble sleeping lately as it is, and now I also have the excitement of this game stuck in my head.

The content file is downloaded for me, and now I am at 52% on the main game. After that it's just the tiny online pass file, so it shouldn't be too much longer now.

Verh smooth download and the game is running superb!
Menus and in game is super smooth.

Few thing I noticed right away.
High bounces are gone
Hit variety greatly improved.
I like Steve Lyons
You can hear the subway in Chicago
Pitch history colours finally fixed!

Loving it so far!

I wish I started my download at 12am, instead I decided to get the digital copy instead of the disc at 3am. It took me ~2.5hrs to complete the additional content file, and just started downloading the main game and its 6am now. Lol, think I am going to pass out and just install and play it tomorrow.
