MLB 13 The Show News Post

Pre-Order MLB 13 The Show From PSN Store & Download at 12:01 AM EST, March 5th

MLB 13 The Show is a "Day 1 Digital" game, which means if you pre-order from the PS Store, you can start downloading a digital copy of the game at 12:01 AM EST on March 5th.

As a bonus, if you pre-order from the PS Store you will receive an exclusive theme for your PS3 XMB menu screen and an extra 120 million for your Franchise budget.

At the moment, we only see the MLB 13 The Show Day 1 Digital pre-order available for the PS3, nothing on the PS Vita.

Sooo I just go an "error" message and then kicked off Playstation Network saying connection timed out.. Brutal. I hope the download progress isn't all lost?

Also, for those of you going to bed (like me) before turning off your controller, go to turn off system on the top left of the cross media bar. When you click it, a box will appear that has the option to turn off system after background download. Check this box, then click turn off again. When you wake up in the morning, the system will be off and MLB 13 will be waiting for you under games. (If the download is complete)

additional content done and 2% so far on main game.

so about another hour for roughly 2 hour download. not bad.

Same here. Download is really cliping along now. Should be done in about 20 minutes.

Sounds like things will be different on PS4...supposedly you will be able to start playing a game while it is still downloading...how that would work with a game like the Show I have no idea...

If it was a 22gb download you would need over 44gb to install.
If it was 12 and 11 (rounding up) as it is now you don't need as much, about over 34gb. Hopefully its because Sony is aware of this install issue with large games and as such probably has something to do with games being split up (Ni No Kuni was a similar total size and also split up).

took me right at 75 mins to download the additional now its installing it, then im assuming it will just install the game and install it then do the same for online pass?

I'm glad I was born in the 70's. This is nothing, just 2 hours.

I was glad I ran to my local store even thru the snow storm. Then I installed the 10GB install file.... Still waiting haha. Best of luck to everyone!
