Pre-Order MLB 13 The Show From PSN Store & Download at 12:01 AM EST, March 5th

MLB 13 The Show is a "Day 1 Digital" game, which means if you pre-order from the PS Store, you can start downloading a digital copy of the game at 12:01 AM EST on March 5th.

As a bonus, if you pre-order from the PS Store you will receive an exclusive theme for your PS3 XMB menu screen and an extra 120 million for your Franchise budget.

At the moment, we only see the MLB 13 The Show Day 1 Digital pre-order available for the PS3, nothing on the PS Vita.

Anyone who knows about this - after the download, is there going to be a lengthy install too, or is this all that is needed before playing?

I have to 1.8gig out of 21 so far....not bad I think.

Good luck guys I'm going to bed and let my PS3 do the rest of the work.

I'm pretty sure it did Additional Content first because you chose to download all three (MG, AC and OP) and it just went alphabetically. Sort of dumb logic if you ask me.

Alphabetical order. You could download them in any order if you wanted to though, just click on the download arrow next to file... I'm assuming you pressed 'download all'.

Also, dizammmmm at these +1000 minute estimates. I started at 458 minutes, now at 437 min.

I doubt we'd need to since I think that's what the additional content download is for.

Is this the first year a MLB show title is up for full digital download for ps3? I have disc already but considering a digital download right now if it really makes a difference when playing the game

FYI the times we see to complete download are just estimates based on download speed.

I assume this means you've noticed some issues with the disc copy version of the game?

I am at 18% for the 1st download. I would turn the controller off or leave it plugged in so it doesn't drain the battery just sitting there.

I've been trying different things to avoid the pitch stutter, did the rebuild database and a fresh 5 gig install instead of the 10 gig install, seemed good for 2 days then started again today. But today I changed one of the settings In display from limited to full, can't remember the name of setting, was under display & so far so good but if the digital avoids any type of the stuttering issues as seen in that thread then I don't mind buying a digital psn version.

Omg mine went from 4014 minutes an hour ago to 5300 minutes about half an hour ago to 5678 minutes now. um surely this is wrong, right? My internet connection is fast....

I read somewhere that you need to clear out double the space of the download(in this case like 44 GB), is this true?
I hope so, as I purged my PS3 to get to 44 GB and now I'm currently downloading. I hope this works.

I'd keep any other Internet tasks to a minimum while downloading or it's gonna take longer for the game to finish.

Download really starting to bog down. 63% done 1st part. Cmon people stop downloading so mine will go faster

60 seconds until the main game is down. Not bad, but I wish Sony's servers were a little faster.

Quantum Leap was a funny one -- Sam lept into a bigamist and spent the whole episode trying to keep his two wives from meeting each other.

My estimate has been pretty consistent from the start. 29% on the first part, but 479 minutes to go. Yikes.
