What is the "pitch stutter"? I can you please elaborate on this? This is the first time I ever gotten anything from the PSN store, I thought digital version will run faster/smoother than hard copy since its not loading from the disk.

Well my estimated time said 360 mins but when I came down stairs 4 hours later it was done. It's gonna be a great day off.

Mine was 2000 or so minutes when I started and left for work. I seriously hope my situation is the same when I get home.

Started my download around 4:40 AM Eastern time and I'm at 87% on the second part. It's gonna take another hour or so to install everything.

21.7 GB in 3 hours isn't too shabby though.

Downloaded and installed in a little over 2 hours

Takes a little over 20GB on the Hard Drive.

Played 1 game and it is freaking awesome as I suspected it would be!

you must have super fast internet connection. i finished downloading the first one and main file is ~85% complete....its been ~4.5-5hrs since i started this whole downloading procedure.

debating if i should do the rebuilt database on ps3 before i install the main file to avoid the "pitcher stutter" bug a lot people seem to be having. but don't want to turn off my ps3 and have to download the whole thing again since i didn't install it.

ps: do i have to download both files again if i ever want to reinstall the game again for whatever reason? or will both of the downloaded files always be saved in my system?

I'm in the central time zone. Download link showed up for me around 11:15. Game was fully installed and ready to go when I checked at 6am.

This digital release is perfect for me. Saves a trip to the store. Knocks off a few bucks on sales tax, and it saves me from the chance of my already struggling blu ray drive from failing.

Almost wished now I would've just stuck with my preorder, this download is taking a lot longer than I thought it would..

Let it download all night and I'm only 82% of the way through the second file. Ugh. Was hoping to get a quick game in before my first class.

Mine downloaded overnight with no problem on one of my PS3s. I tried to start the download on my other PS3 this morning before work but I was getting a PSN maintenance error.

Started the download at about 1210. Went to sleep. Woke up around 300 and everything was finished and installed. The date of install was at 217 so it took a little over 2 hrs. Not bad to be honest.

To anyone who got a "Network Error" and may have thought they didn't get the game fully downloaded, check your downloaded files anyway.. I thought my download had crapped out before it downloaded completely but I checked and I had the two files on my harddrive, so that definitely saved me some headachce and additional download time.

I have 50/10 from Comcast yes its pretty fast.

I actually reformated my PS3 before downloading and installing MLB 13 The Show because I wanted a clean fresh working PS3 and the only "stutter" I saw was during a few of the batter walk ups. I did not notice any "pitcher stutter" as other gamers have seen. But I also only played 1 game so far.

I think you would have to download all files if you ever need to reinstall in the future.

I sometimes hate PSN.... I have 30 mbps download speeds but PSN is too god damn slow.... Been downloading since 10am this morning....

# 476 uecker4prez @ 03/05/13 04:04 PM
Yeah I have 30 meg internet as well. I started it and checked on it occasionally before going to bed last night. I knew immediately that it wouldn't be worth staying up last night and that it would be completed by time I woke up.

I usually average 3-3.5 MB/sec but on the PSN I'm lucky to pull 2MB/sec. Not sure how long it took overall but I started it at 11:10ish last night and it was done by time I woke up around 5:30. Then I installed both files and went back to bed.

I didn't help the download any though by watching Netflix as I fell asleep last night.

I meant to start the download at midnight but I fell asleep long before. So all this morning I was waiting for The Show and SimCity to download... :/

My entire download/installation ended up taking approx 12 hours. Totally worth the wait, though. The game is beautiful and the changes to RTTS are awesome.

Downloaded PS3 version overnight. No problems. Vita version still isn't up in the PS Store yet, (4:26 pm EST)

Even though I have the physical copy, I decided to download the game through PSN and the total time took about 3 hrs. I started the download at 7 am . Went to children's hospital to get a cast put on my son's leg and got back and installed the main game and additional content. I may just give my son or my brother my physical copy of the game. For what is it worth, it is nice not hearing my ps3 blu ray drive running in overdrive while I play.
