Gregg not so much but he is gone.

I really like Johnson. May not strike out many but he doesn't give them much to hit.

Giants #17 Tigers #1 And here I thought the Giants won the World Series.

# 108 dl2518 @ 02/22/13 05:29 PM
The Giants should be atleast a top 10 team if not top 5. They have won 2 of the last 3 World Series WTF.

The Pitching and Defense needs to be ranked higher.

According to these ranking the Giants are the 4th best team in the NL West, what a joke.

# 109 StraightEdge @ 02/22/13 05:30 PM
The Red Sox are number 3 in all of baseball??? They're the fourth best team in the AL East for crying out loud. I can see this game's ratings are going to need a ton of work, ugh.

As a redsox fan I will tell you one thing... there is no way we should be that high I was hoping for around a 14-16 spot.

I worked at Game crazy too. I remember playing NCAA 06 10 days before release. we had an awesome manager than basically made us put the cash in the store so we "bought it" then ring it up on the release date. We did that all the time. If you work at a game store with a cool manager, you can get games early.

Im a Red Sox fan and quite honestly we shouldn't even be in the top 15 let alone 3! Honestly...

Phillies too high, Colorado too high, Toronto too high and Boston too high

Nationals too low, Giants too low and Yankees too low (yea I said it, and Im a Sox fan)

I think the tribe are a sleeper team this year. Other than the Tigers that division is weak. Yes KC is improved but I wouldn't say they are definitely better than the Tribe. Minny and chicago are that good either. If cleveland can get some decent production from the rotation I think they could win a wild card spot. Getting to play KC, CWS and MIN 19 times each is huge got .700 vs them and thats 40 wins right there. It's do able for a team like cleveland this year.

Other than SF the two teams who got shafted were the Blue Jays and the rays... The rays at 16 is funny to me. I think they will win the AL East this year and toronto has made huge improvements they should be a top 10 team.

And to the guys who are complaining about us fans complaining about ratings... its something to talk about. I dont think I have seen too many homer posts. SF and TOR fans have a legit gripe... and you guys saying its the individual players you need to worry about.. what do you think team ratings are compiled of? The team's individual players!

Using a four game sample size to determine the next year's ratings is just silly.

How about winning 2 of the last 3 WS that means nothing I guess.

How in god's name did this kid even get the game?

As for the rankings, just a big FYI, those rankings are based on averages from the ENTIRE roster. I repeat, the ENTIRE roster. Did you get that? Rostiré enteró . Not just the important guys. Not just the 1-9 starters. Everyone. Yeah even that weird guy with the curly mustache that hasn't pitched since May. Yes, him.

Let's say, hypothetically, the Texas Rangers are the best team in real-life baseball. But in their bullpen, there's one particular guy, let's call him Oliver Perez. This guy is absolutely terrible. Can't pitch at all. Now in real life that is pretty much meaningless. Managers will just avoid using him in any and all important situations. Maybe he's out of minor league 'options' and they are just biding their time waiting to release him.

In The Show however, that guy's terrible overall rating of, say, 30, is going to bring the ENTIRE pitching overall from a 98 to maybe an 83 (A pitching staff is only like 12 people).

Then that in turn is going to bring the team's overall ranking from like a 97 to perhaps a 90.
