What was the default on 2K12? Absolute or Relative?

# 302 Vni @ 10/03/12 10:04 AM
Relative, always.

That being said, I still use the shot stick for all shots including jump shots. Just think of LT as your guide hand that you use when you play basketball and if will begin to feel a little more natural.

The only button is use is the post up button and B. I've been a shot stick user for so long so that's the only way I know how to play. Just keep LT down and the post game is similar to 2k12.

This is the first year since 2k8 that I actually had to use the practice mode. Lay of the turbo button as well unless you need it. That helps a lot also.

Preciate the insight man. I guess I'm a go through that training camp and try to get use to these controllers. I liked how 2k12 was. Now it just feels like I am just wiggling the right-thumbstick around until I shake the defender without even knowing what move I am trying to do. That's not sim to me, more of streetball.

Also, some of the moves the CPU does are a lot of playground moves that should be done in a allstar game. Maybe I can tweek the rosters to tone down everyone's ball-handling but that is just a pain in the neck!..

So you've been using a feature for 20 years that hasn't even been around for 10 years yet?

# 306 DominiqueWilkins @ 10/03/12 11:40 AM
Really? Who was it that brought up "20 years?"

Man, just move along. The shot stick is what set 2K apart and the majority of players use it.

'Nique, remember when we used to battle in NBA 2k92 on Sega Genesis? HAHAHAHA. Looks like someone was playing a game for 20 years that been around for 13.

I don't have the game yet. And I just want to know if any changes have been made to the give and go controls?

Every year I post about it because it is a very important part of the fastbreak.

Anyone have any tips for pulling off the behind the back dribble, I know how to do it, but when I push back on the right thumbstick I get a hesitation move? Not sure why.

Apologize if this has asked and answered, but I did a search and came up empty.

Have the controls to initiate a double team changed this year? In 2k12 you could choose which defensive player came over to double by tapping L1 and choosing an icon.

In 2k13 I don't get the icons. I can hit L1 to call for a double team but the computer chooses which player to double with. It would be very disappointing to me if they took that functionality out of the game -- it's a crucial part of playing defense.

Lol I'm little shocked myself. But I just got FIFA 13 last week. So I wanted to wait until the weekend. I'm only one man with 2 hands

This don't work for the drop step dunk. I don't even think its in the game.

PPL. we might b 2k VETS HERE but its inperative that we go in to training camp i have gotton better since going in there with the drbbling part and note 2k12 controls r useless now bcuase u cant blow past your man thats why they wanted us to try these new controls out i see now u can do some iso with the left stick and when u wanna get past a defender the right stick with the old controls i was struggling in the game it dont feel like how 12 played so i switch back for good i will go in training camp every day for a hour bfore i play then we all should b whooping ppl lol

No that doesn't work either. That's making me do a step back jumper. I don't even think beluba or whatever his name is can do the drop step dunk because they don't exist. I can lay it up sometimes but most of the time it's that one handed shot. Dwight should bangin out when he's close to the rim. Maybe somebody can show a video to prove me wrong.
