You guys need to really be realistic about what we've been told so far

I understand what you're saying, but Bosh got bumped and backed up, watch it again
Slowed it down for you guys. I don't know man, I think JasonWilliams has a point. Durant should've at least had his momentum direction altered

Is it even confirmed that the demo is coming for Sony today?

not having the same experience as anybody at all the dribbling system on the right stick isnt good imo i still get sucked into defenders cant even get past perkins with lebron an the responsiveness is late the graphics are watered down and why so many changes to the controls , not a good experience with the demo

Just dribbled off my teammates back :-/

Wade threw an alley oop to LeBron and it did a 360 and dunked it..

You can never tell with PSN lol, I never actually seen a consistent time with their updates (very random).

Should have used this music and gold look for like a 1 vs 1, 3 vs 3 street mode IMO.

Very excited for the game, but not excited about listening to this music while i play it. The gold really confuses me. 2k usually knocks it out of the park with its stat and overlay screens,etc.....major step back this year.

Based off demo

gameplay=9.5
graphics=9
presentation(with assumed 2k12 like commentary,etc)=7

I'd drop jay Z or tell him to step out the way.

Also, if I am just being picky here, I really don't like how all 2k's players photo's and body's(overlays) are so jaggy. The gameplay graphically is so clean, no jagggies at all on 360, yet the photo's and overlays with photos are horrible low quality. Also, I like the outside stadium shot, but it is very low resolution and would have looked better if they hadn't throw the artifacts static filter plugin over it. The game looks good enough they didn't need to "mask" the real stadium outside footage from the game.

Don't get me wrong, I'll be buying this game day 1.
Too ghetto? Now thats just racist

There was contact before Durant elevated. I honestly feel like in real life Bosh would of had flopped to the floor. But i think it would be a collision where both players fall and the refs try to see if they should call it a offensive foul or a blocking foul.

Its not an opinion..look at what happened... You want him to just jet in the air for a block when physics aren't on his side...

He was bumped back.. not suctioned, and not pulled in a directions... and his feet moved, he certainly didnt ice skate back

What was told to us again was the removing of alot of the 2 man animations that will make alot of things different that what you were used to seeing last year.
Sorry - have to disagree.

Bosh started his vertical block animation and while he was gather for the block, he was pushed out the way. He feet didn't move from their spots on purpose, they moved because they are part of the block animation and Durant's animation 'pushed' him out of the way.

It's petty and I don't think people should get hung up on these gripes. It's a video game and I think some people lose sight of that. But Bosh definitely was moved without intention.

I'm sure my impressions will get lost in the shuffle. Lots of "didn't read LOLs," haha.

I only have a few complaints with the game:
  • Driving to the paint is a little too easy, even considering the superstar players' ability to do it in real life. I was able to blow past Chalmers with Westbrook without doing one crossover move tons of times. Too many easy baskets, but sliders will help.
  • Player models either look the same or downgraded. Durant's model looks like he's made of clay -- strange skin texture. And his face? Odd. Very odd. Westbrook's light mustache thing looks weird too; especially when he's moving his mouth.
  • Same crowd sounds as last year, save for a few new cheer bits. That lone drunk guy yelling "wooooooooooo" is back. Ugh.
  • Weird moment when Thunder was inbounding the ball and Westbrook suddenly did an animation like he was breaking away from a defender. He was by himself.
  • Lebron James might be a little too invincible. When I played against the Heat for a few games, Lebron missed MAYBE two or three shots in four games. I'm hoping signature skills don't make superstars too overpowered, to the point of unbalance.

As for things I like/love:
  • Thank God the dribble moves are back on the right stick. It makes player movement much easier/intuitive. I get why it's a controversial change, but I love it.
  • Euro-Step = so good.
  • Animations are as incredible as 2k Sports billed them. Collisions are amazing, animation-to-animation segways are sensational... man, I can go on and on.
  • Defense is WAY more gratifying this year; to the point where I actually enjoy it, which is a far cry from past NBA 2k games.
  • Loose ball fouls and off-ball fouls are alive!
  • I can't say enough over how improved the passing is. Still has a few quirks, but it's a huge leap forward for the series.

SMH?

Really? this is why I'm always reluctant to play randoms. I would cringe if someone I ever played did that against me.

2K13 did a great job with details. Only played a couple of times but I like it so far. The shooting with the trigger takes some getting used to but once you do, I am sure that people will love it. This version will also place a premium on players that can shoot it off the dribble and create their own shot. You can really tell the difference with finishers around the basket. Still a lot of questions to be answered but so far so good.

I agree it's not significant. I still like what I am seeing in the demo as far as contact goes much better than 2k12. But if any body at 2k is reading this, it's definitely something to keep on their radar.

On a different note about the video, VDusen has me paying attention to the way guys grab the rim when they dunk, the more I watch it, the more amazing the animation looks.

I would've liked to see Durant (since he had far more momentum than Bosh) take some contact on the jump and extend out for a lay or a possible "throw down" dunk, Bosh should've also fell/flopped back as well. That would be realistic.

They need to add more "move out the way" animations for defenders ala this:

I agree some times we just have to have a blind eye. Because if we nit picked and complained about every single thing we would never enjoy the game.

Just as long as that type of thing isn't happening 7/10 times I'm good.
