NBA 2K13 Demo Available Now For 360 and PS3, Post Impressions Here

The NBA 2K13 demo is available now on the Marketplace for Xbox Live "GOLD" members (available next week for Silver). Most are getting it by searching for "2K13" or going to Genre ---> Sports and Recreation. You can also queue it up right here.

The PS3 demo arrives later this afternoon, we'll update this post when it's available.

UPDATE: PS3 demo is available now. If you don't see it, search for it.

The new controls take a little while to get used to, so make sure you check out the Controls trailer, we posted yesterday.

1 Five minute quarter
Quick Game and Online Quick Match. Can't invite friends, just random.
Can't change sliders, camera view, make substitutions or call plays

I'm more impressed. I was goofing around with the controls with dwade and they cAlled double dribble on me. Siiiickkk!

Passing button is a little glitchy. I tapped A and it did a fake pass? on't tell me i have to hold A everytime to make a pass...

Probably, they have the choose side and you can see the silhouette of the controller so I think so.

Fake pass happens if you press the button twice so you might have done that by mistake

Post play is good. I find myself screaming at the screen when I don't get a foul called due to the physics in the game.
As mentioned before you can tell that LeBron is way stronger than Durant. I find it hard to get by him at times and settle for jump shots. (See now I know what KD was going through)
I can't say this enough a lockdown defender is essential to slowdown a PG like Westbrook. I blow by any and everyone with him but once Bron switches I struggle more.
Chris Bosh did not get any love for his post play in the demo. And Ibaka is crazy with his hustle.
I also noticed when I get stops and rebounds with Perkins everyone's seems to have pep in their step on offense. Is this part of the Defensive Anchor Sig Skill?

To those asking if you're able to play 2 players offline...the answer is a big fat YES!

played against my brother this morning...if you have a second controller connected it should register

While playing & having the HUD up of the Sig skills it shows when that sig skill gets activated

Ex: when using Lebron on D his Lock down defender sig skill lights up. On offense it lit up when I used Westbrook for a layup the Acrobat sig skill lit up

Posting with Lebron allows you to see the floor great. I hit Bosh with his signature elbow jumper and it was simply beautiful. Defense honors players strengths.

Is it me or are there too many runners done by CPU? Wade killed me all day with it and its not the kind of shot I'd expect to be killed by.

LeBron did it at times but not like Wade.

You may be on to something, but I'd have to play a few more games. Initially I actually really liked the floaters I was seeing from Russell Westbrook but as I played more and more, the runners and floats seemed to come a little heavier than I was used to. I can't tell if it's just because they were almost non-existent last year or because it truly was a little overdone.

I wish they had the alt control setup in the demo. For those who don't know 2k said the alternate control scheme switches the dribble and shoot stick. So right stick would be shoot and LT+right stick would be dribble. I feel like the alt control make more sense to me then the default but it's hard to tell without having the ability to try it out.

Other notes:
� Durant shot is beautiful
� physics are pretty good so far. You can definitely tell the difference between bigger/stronger compare to smaller/weaker players
� players vertical looks like it makes a difference for blocks (not sure about rebounds and dunks). Ibaka gets up when attempting a block.
� controls will take time to perfect. I might go right into practice when I get the game to really get everything down.
� this isn't gameplay related but I'm loving the soundtrack. I'm a rap/hip hop fan so hearing "victory" and "the world is yours" playing is literally music to my ears
